Great shop. Tristan and Nick the shop dog really helped me out by fixing my shifters and drivetrain with super fast turnaround. There should be a Strava segment for this, Tristan would hold the KOM. Thanks!

My go-to bike shop ... i'm not the most experienced rider, but the guys at the shop take me and my needs seriously and they are super generous with their time ... I've bought the 2 most advanced MTBs I've ever bought from them and I've walked away both times feeling like I got great value and like I have been very well taken care of.

After a year of researching online my husband finally pulled the trigger and got a new bike from Cycle Progression. The employees are knowledgeable and friendly, answering all the questions he had. Support your local bike shop!

So I had a flat tire and I didn’t personally know how to get my back tire off of my new bike, and they weee so helpful and polite. They helped me along the way get my bike up and running and I didn’t even purchase the bike from them. Great customer service and support. This place is my new go to from any assistance with my bike now.

This review pertains to my first visit to this business. Bicycle repair businesses are bountiful near my north central location and I have a reasonably long history w a few of them. I had mostly avoided this place because I thought they mostly focus on motorized bikes (they do seem to do a lot of that). I’ve always felt and eventually accepted the usual treatment based on being sized up for “how important of a client am I,” similar to how amp/music electronics technicians. When I recently needed some pretty basic spoke work and the repair places to whom I had spent lots of money told me 2-3 weeks, I decided to try a few new places. Cycle Progression said to bring it by (it was the edge of closing time) and that they would likely have by COB following day for around $20 (waaay cheaper than my established folks). We encountered a slight problem which unfortunately led to me driving there at rush hour on a Friday and finding that a tool was needed that wasn’t available that day and my bike wasn’t ready after all. However, an employee offered to come by later that eve with his personal tool, finish my bike, and another person offered to come in early (way before they open) and let me get my bike. I cannot tell you how much it means to me to be accommodated like this and how much I think you should take your bike there, especially if you feel jerked around by businesses you have been good customers to.

These guys gave me some of the best customer service I’ve ever had! I had an unusual problem (needed tires on my wheelchair replaced) When I ordered the wheels from a Medical vendor they said they “were a pain” to take off/put on. I called Cycle Progression and spoke to a Tristen and he accepted the task and quoted me a price. An amazing price btw because a medical store would’ve gouged. I brought my chair in, they took care of it, and it was still the same price they had quoted over the phone. They were all friendly, efficient, and fast. I was expecting the process to be a headache and they made it so easy and effortless for me! Thanks guys!

I initially had a good experience and asked my then boyfriend to get my tire changed at this shop, he decided to get a deluxe tune up instead, the bike seemed ok when I got it back but literally 2 months later the brakes were loose again and the gears were not functioning properly in addition the handlebars were left loose. I went back in after I looked up what should have been done for a deluxe tune up and was a bit on edge about it for obvious reasons. Sebastian helped me and when I asked what I owed he told me that he didn't like the condition my bicycle was being returned in and didn't want to charge me. I had to go back in because once again there was a problem this time my chain was popping off (I thought this had been worked on or would have been mentioned when I picked up the bike/ it wasn't) this time they told me that I would have to order a new freehub and get it installed somewhere else because they cannot order from fairdale so I went to another bike shop. This other bike shop quickly fixed the problem and tightened a bolt progression had left loose in the derailer, they repacked the bearings. Progression is the WORST shop I have been to and I have been riding for 20 years in Austin, they were happy to leave me with a dangerous bike that would leave me stranded. These young bicycle mechanics should have admitted they do not understand how to fix a fairdale and not make me a fellow cyclist the villain... they are open for 4 hours a day just wow, everyone works hard except for these guys apparently. I will never recommend this shop or go back to them again!!!!!

This is one of the few bike shops where I don’t feel like I’m being upsold. The mechanics are all very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!
