As someone who has built cars for almost 20 years, worked at numerous automotive places and owned my own shop for 5 years, this is the laziest place I have ever been to. Looked for excuse after excuse not to help, if any of my employees had ever acted like this I would have fired them on the spot!
I do want to thank Chad which is one of the managers. He stepped up and made sure we got taken care of in the end!

Quick service on a busy day. However, was annoyed with the attempt to up-sale at the end of my service. Man came with my lug nuts in hand, my car is 20 years old so they don’t look perfect anymore. Started to explain to me (like I’m an idiot) what a new lug nut should look like… (I’m the one who changed my own tire to the spare the night before so I’m well aware of how mine look currently) and claims SOME of mine are missing their caps and they can’t guarantee they can use them. Weird since when I got my tires rotated not that long ago from a different location they didn’t try to sell me new ones.(Also didn’t try to sell me windshield wipers at the beginning of my service either like this location). Only ONE is missing its cap btw. I wouldn’t have minded the “education” if he didn’t speak to me like I’m just a dumb girl. No need to show me what a new lug nut looks like. And when I told him I wanted my rim to the old spare tire, he claimed my rim was also damaged (it isn’t, I was just changing form a donut spare to a real tire as my spare). Unless he thought I said I wanted the ripped up tire, again why would I want that, I’m not an idiot. I didn’t appreciate the scare tactic into buying new lug nuts and claiming damages as to no give me back my spare tire rim. Although I was happy with my first sales man and the quick service, the last guy really made me unhappy.

Long morning gettn out the door etc etc of course my tire pressure light comes on. Luckily DT was on the way. Extremely respectful and helpful staff. Honestly, turned around a rough morning. Can't remember the last time a business just helped me and honored a warranty without putting me through the ringer with bullshit. Bless these tires

If you're looking for a tire experience that feels more like hanging out with your cool nephew than a trip to the Tire Shop, Manny at Discount Tire in South Austin is your guy! Seriously, this dude is the epitome of chill. You walk in, and it’s like entering a Zen garden of tires—no stress, no hassle, just good vibes.
After a very brief phone conversation I rolled into the showroom .Manny greeted me with a laid-back smile that instantly put me at ease. He listened attentively to my tire woes, nodding like I was sharing the secrets of the universe. I half expected him to be the typical tire guy, but then he promptly got to work, and before I could even finish my lunch, my tires were all set. I received notifications on my cell step by step. The 4 tire Dismount mount and balance was done in less than 2 hrs. He runs a well oiled machine. Talk about service!
If you want a tire shop where you can kick back, share a laugh, and get your tires sorted without the usual drama, Manny is the Man. (SEE WHAT I DID THERE?)
I left feeling like I had just made a new friend—and with tires that are ready to roll, and roll they did down the road smooth as silk with no vibration all the way through 85mph. Highly recommend this place if you want a hassle-free experience with a side of Profesionalism!

Be ready to wait 2 h and don’t pay extra for any bullshit they sell you a warranty for, but if you have just a nail in your tire, they will say it is not covered by the warranty. Ahaha, you know what that means, crokssss. 🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊

I called up and spoke with Manny. He was patient and helped me figure out the exact tires I needed. They had them in stock so I drove up there. Was able to connect with Manny who was a big help. He made things easy and gave me proper time frames. I would recommend Discount Tires and this location. Call up and ask for Manny. Great help!

I’ve been using Discount Tire for more than a decade in different states. It’s always been a pleasure to work with them. Manny at this location helped me out so much and I really appreciate his help. I’m grateful for customer service where I am treated like a real person. I trust them that they care about keeping customers safe.
I was also out of there in 45 minutes! But try and get there early in the day!

Jason at this Discount Tire is the absolute best! I came in with a slow leak in 1 of the tires & suspected that we probably needed new tires, but hadn't made an appt like I usually do. They weren't as busy as usual & he got me right in! I also had some issues with the lugnuts on 1 of the tires & they were able to fix that as well! I have been getting my tires from DT for decades & I truly appreciate the customer service they provide! Thank you, Jason, so much for your help! 😄

I have shopped at this store for 25 years and it was excellent while Tim was manager. Over the last two years our service has gone downhill. I went in a month ago and put new tires on a vehicle. When I picked it up they hadn’t even balanced two of the tires Today I dropped off a van to get a tire repaired and a tire replaced and the tires rotated when I picked it up. They had neither replaced the tire nor rotated the tires. After waiting another hour and a half I picked up the van and they had not secured The hubcaps properly and two of them fell off on my way out of the parking lot. No one bothered to apologize either time I went in. Don’t bother going here. Terrible customer service.

Would give it zero stars except for the fact that the employees are nice. The actual service is awful, they will tell you 30 minute wait on the phone and then 2 hours once you’ve gone in and booked the service with them. They broke two wheel spacers on my 4Runner and then said they would replace them, I sent them the receipt as requested and then never sent me new ones. I will go in for low tire pressure, wait two hours, have them tell me they plugged the leak only for me to have to go back two weeks after because it’s still leaking. I’ve spent thousands of dollars and way too many hours at discount.
