We took our car to discount tire 3 times in one week to try to figure out why our tire light wouldn't go off. The first time was just to get air, and after that didn't help we took the car back to get it checked out.
I told them there was a tire we had issues with but that I wasn't sure if that was the problem and without checking ANY of the other tires they replaced the one I mentioned in passing and sent us along.
Still our tire light was on so I went for a third time to try to resolve the issue because we had somewhere we had to travel the next day. They finally found the so called "issue" and then urged that I needed to get the other three tires replaced. After that, all issues seemed to be resolved and I drove home, parked the car and didn't drive until the next morning.
I come out to the tire that was the "problem" completely flat. I had another tech come out to assess the issue because at this point discount tire has proven they are not capable of doing the job correctly. Within two minutes of looking, the technician let us know that the issue the whole time, was that we had a completely cracked rim, and that he was shocked that they 1. didn't notice and 2. let us leave with a car in that condition given that it was a safety hazard.
I cannot stress enough that we should NOT have to had returned three times, bought four tires for NO REASON, and still left with an unsafe vehicle. All y'all do is tires, you should at least be competent in that. Safe yourself the trips and use a local shop!

For reference, I love Discount Tire and the services they provide. Every time I come in, I'm greeted with a smile and enthusiasm.
The warranties that they offer are amazing, and they do a great job everytime.
My problem resides in a situation that I'm currently in.
I left my car there for a routine spare tire change on February 10th just before their closing hours, around 5:30 PM. I came back to my car's trunk not being able to close and my left tail light completely broken.
When I spoke to Alex, the store manager, he told me that he would file a claim, and he did. To this day, two weeks after the accident, I have not yet to hear anything in regards to this claim to the point where I needed to get my insurance involved. My car is still in the shop, and this is far from a minor inconvenience.
It is frustrating and disappointing at the same time. I felt like the lack of integrity from the staff in not taking accountability truly stands out to me in this situation.
It's even more frustrating to me that he, or the branch has NOT taken interest or checked in on me or the situation that they put me in. This move alone shows the lack of hospitality and professionalism in something in an inconvenience that I had no part of.
While I love this company, again, it is hard to trust a branch that does not take accountability for its actions.
I would continue taking my car here, but not without a grain of caution. I would record my car's condition before getting it serviced because so far, they have shown zero interest in showing accountability for their actions.
As I have written this review, my car is currently in between 2500 - 3000 in repairs. Thanks a lot!

With a flat tire, there will be a degree of anxiety for many folks. My experience at this location was much different than what I have received from other locations. I trusted Discount Tire but was disappointed in the customer service at this Research Blvd location. I was greeted pleasantly enough, until Manifred realized that we would not be purchasing new tires with him today. Then, in an effort to belittle our decision, he made remarks very loudly to insult our decision. We opted to put a spare on our car until we could get home and weigh our options. But Manifred was determined to make us feel badly about that decision. He humiliated myself and my husband publicly, in a room filled with other customers. Fortunately, once we made it past him and were waiting for the tire to be changed, we had a very nice technician, who was polite and pleasant.

I was told to replace the lug nuts if they save the original ones and return those to me. But I didn’t find them anywhere in my car

I had an absolutely terrible experience at this location. The service was beyond disappointing, and the level of carelessness was shocking.
First, they tried to upsell me on new lug nuts — something I immediately found suspicious when I overheard three other customers being told the exact same thing. Then, they damaged my truck with a torque wrench right in front of me, and instead of taking responsibility, the manager had the audacity to argue with me about it, even though he was standing there when it happened.
Their technicians were using an impact wrench to hammer on lug nuts, which can cause damage and lead to unnecessary replacements — ironically proving their own upsell tactic. They also didn’t even bother to put my truck on the lift correctly… it was angled, which is incredibly careless and unsafe.
To top it all off, they installed one wrong lug nut on my truck, and the air pressure in my tires was all over the place—not even close to being set correctly.
This location is unprofessional, careless, and clearly more focused on making a sale than providing quality service. I wouldn’t trust them with a bicycle, let alone my truck again. Stay far away.

Brought in a tire with a plug for a permanent fix. The rep looked at it and said they could “absolutely fix that”
When I got back they said they replaced the tire (without authorization) because they don’t repair tires with plugs.
I’d had taken it to a shop that does if they’d told me that when they appraised it, or at the very least before doing the swap

For the second time they tried to fix a tire that didn't fit. But they replaced it with a new tire because of the warranty.

they don't hire enough employees for the demand. i come here for a better service than Walmart. guess I'll just spend the 1+ hour shopping instead.

Discount Tire is my go-to place for all things tires. They are consistently reliable. However, they did not quite make the projected completion time by about 5 minutes. They forgot to reset my low air pressure indicator after filling the tires with air, and they forgot again a few days later after I let them know when I returned to purchase tires. So, my indicator is still on.

I am very disappointed, it would be nice as a woman to be able to go to a discount tire without having workers always pressuring you to buy tires or do a service when it’s not necessary/needed.
I was told today my tires weren’t good to fix after a nail was in it, I refused to believe that so I decided to go to another tire shop and my tire was fixed without problem. Never going back to discount tire because it seems like they always trying to fool women into buying unnecessary stuff.

Location absolutely REFUSED to listen to me and my concerns and then tried to FORCE a sale for 2 tires when I just needed a patch. Made me extremely uncomfortable spending money at all
