charged me for the full cost of an appointment even though I was there for my annual that is covered by insurance.. the doctor asked me what i had going on that was of concern to me so i told her and we discussed it, for this i was charged for a second appointment.. the office keeps blaming it on insurance, but it's their own policy they're following.. I'll be finding a new doctor.

We have been patients of Amy Kowalski for almost 4 years. Our entire family is very pleased with the quality of care that we receive. Amy shows a lot of care in our medical issues and is very easy to talk with. She is also very caring. Both of our adult children see her also.

As you can see, I don't write reviews, but I needed to write this one. I can't thank Cristel (front-of-office) and Dr. Guerra enough for accommodating me the way they did today. I've got a nasty set of ear infections, and my current drops aren't working. We are going into the weekend when the office is closed, and I've been really stressed about worsening ear infections while solo parenting two young kids. I explained my situation to Cristel this morning and within 30 MINUTES (yes, you read that right!), Cristel and Dr. Guerra had called in new prescriptions. I was so overcome with how thorough and wonderful these are gals are, that I actually started to blubber with tears of joy over the phone. Seriously, ya'll, this is what good and wonderful healers can do for the planet. Heading now to H-E-B to grab my prescription. Hope the new brew works to heal me, but at least I know I can totally trust my physician and her staff to take care of me! Always a grateful patient!

Amy Kowalski has helped me get raped. I fear for my life. Not a good woman. She is bankrupt!

I thought I had hit the jackpot with a primary care provider in Amy. She's genuinely sweet and honest and always listens to concerns. However, I will be finding a new primary care provider as this practice is now charging $16 a month as a membership fee. As someone who sees the doctor maybe 3-4 times per year, I cannot justify this and $16 a month adds up especially for something I'm not using every month. This is super disappointing and now I have to start the search for a new PCP all over again.

I see Amy Kowalski, ACNS-BC and I have never been so happy with my medical care. I am 70 and she takes all the time I need with issues that pop up and makes referrals to the best doctors in Austin. I have quite exacting standards for medical care and she always comes through. Kudos to the whole medical team!

I could cry tears of joy today because of how much I love Dr. Guerra. I just had a tele-health appointment with her. She is the only doctor in my adult years of going to doctors where I feel heard and comfortable. I appreciate you so much, Dr. Guerra! Thank you for being the best!

I signed up and prepaid for Inspire Health's Rapid Covid-19 testing. The testing is done outside in a large parking lot, and the directions they provide after you pay are sparse at best (pull into the lot, turn your flashers on, park in a spot with a number, and wait). They apparently didn't think to write directions for when there is a line of cars. When I came to get my test there was a line of cars 10 spaces wide and 5 cars back; there were no signs to guide you and they didn't bother to have anyone guide arrivals (you're basically pulling up into a mass of cars with no guidance). The few people in cars around me were just as confused as I was. After sitting there two hours with no movement, it became clear these weren't lines at all, and there were cars parked with no one in them throughout the "lines". New arrivals were coming into the parking lot and cutting in front of those of us waiting, and there was no direction or guidance for those of us who had been waiting or the new arrivals. After 2.5 hours of trying to fight my car to a testing space I had to be back at work so I drove around to the front to let them know about my situation. The first person I spoke to was a young lady who explained to me "yeah we've had a problem with that, sorry." and went to talk to her boss. She came back and explained that could her boss said they could refund me, but they can't do anything about the wait because I could just be cutting in line. I then asked to speak to this boss person, and Bijas Benamin came out; I explained the situation again and he explained to me that "no one else had complained" since they started doing tests last March and pretty much insisted that there was no problem in how they did things, and there was nothing they could do about the wait because it wouldn't be fair for them to test me "ahead of all the people who had been waiting". I again explained I had been waiting for 2.5 hours because of their lack of organization or guidance and he went back to his 'no one has ever complained before about anything since we started' argument, basically calling me and the other frustrated people liars. When I asked him who he reported to he said he owned the practice, and walked away saying "Merry Christmas". I've never seen an owner of a medical practice (or any business) care as little about customer experience as Bijas Benjamin, and the fact that he kept saying there have "never, ever" been any complaints about his business before just tells me he probably ignores complaints completely. And after wasting 2.5 hours of my time and getting the response I did from Mr. Benjamin I certainly wouldn't entrust my healthcare to any organization he owns. Inspire Health is charging roughly $100 cash off every Covid-19 test (they don't take insurance for those tests) so I guess they make so much money off of it that they really don't care about providing a quality, organized, customer friendly product.

Amy Kowalski is the reason I come here. She genuinely cares for her patients and makes sure that we are taken care of. She is compassionate and always lets me be involved with all aspects of my treatment plan. If you need a primary, I can absolutely recommend her with all the faith in the world.

The billing department coded a wellness visit as a regular office visit. It seems that this is standard practice based on other reviews. Many non-returned messages later, I finally had someone tell me that would take care of it...but a month later no resolution. There is no easy way to talk to anyone at this office and I assume they are hoping to capitalize on apathy of people giving up.

I had a terrible experience at this practice from start to finish. The doctor was condescending in regards to my concerns, missing what became an issue that required surgery, took a phone call during my appointment and notified me of a bill more than a year later. There are many other practices in Austin that will treat you with much more respect. Avoid this one.

I will be seeking a new healthcare practice. I made an appointment with the Doctor there for 11:30. I sat in the exam room until 12:30. I finally walked out and asked someone where the doctor was - still in another room. This is the 3rd time this has happened with this practice. They don't care at all about honoring people's schedules. I don't mind having to wait a bit and I've rarely visited a medical practice where there isn't a wait. But the 3rd time at this place with an extensive wait and no one even walks in the room to apologize, check in or gives me an update. I am DONE.

The Doctors are great but the wait time is at least 1 hr or more in the waiting room and another 15 min to see a NP/ DR. They're typical excuse, they need to clear a room & the NP is running late.

This office is either under staffed or incompetent. I never get to talk with a real person. Getting refills with plenty of notice via my pharmacy is like pulling teeth. I regret having set this office up as my primary care.

Amy Kowalski is my all-time favorite health specialist. She is literally incredible on every level. She feels like a sister that cares so much about your well being but is totally cool not hearing from you except when you need her. Lol. I'm 43 and have dealt with chronic illness for many years. I'm pretty much a Subject Matter Expert on being a patient as I've seen so many doctors and practitioners. 2.5 years ago I moved to Austin and just happened to choose IFH to get started with a doctor in my new city. Today I sit here in the office waiting for an appointment to see Amy and I think about how lucky I was 2.5 years ago...and I just hope she never leaves. Also it's because of her that I FINALLY got diagnosed with a rare sleeping disorder after almost a decade of suffering and seeing specialists. She listened and was constantly in a diagnostic mind frame with me. I can't recommend her enough.
