Really disappointed after years of shopping at DSW and experiencing good customer service that I will never be shopping here again after the experience I had with the manager here. We brought back a pair of expensive high quality leather boots only 2 months old, worn primarily inside in a clean office environment, because the soles of the treads are completely worn flat. She told me to call their customer service line who then told me that it was up to her as the store manager since it was an in store purchase. She said there was nothing she could do since they have been worn even though it’s clearly a defect in the quality. She even insinuated that it must be our fault for wearing out “such a high quality” pair of shoes and refused to do anything.
If you plan to keep shopping at DSW I suggest any store but this one. I have loved shopping here for years but can no longer support this business after the way I was treated by this manager today.

The location that I went to, and there are two in Austin simply do not have the Styles that I am used to. I’d rather wait and go to DSW in LA or New York or Dallas but definitely not in Austin.

I purchased a tank top with embroidery on the front and brought it home. When I tried it on at home, because there are of course no dressing rooms in the store, I realized it was a poorly constructed patch sewn on haphazardly. I attempted to return it with tags attached and was told they could not accept the return because "It could have been worn"... Seriously? They enforce a policy of ZERO returns on clothing. Luckily, the South Austin location on Brodie lane scoffed at the ridiculousness of this policy and happily accepted my return. I will not be supporting this location, they are not on the side of the customer.

Had issues with the Houston store helping me find out why my order would not ship ,so I called the Austin store and Samantha was so nice amd understanding. She gave me the customer service number and told me to explain and see if they could help. They found the issue and took care of it right away! Thank you Samantha! Her kindness made my day

Enjoyed this store and found two nice pair of shoes on sale. Lots of options with some really good sales on the back rack! I appreciated the amount of women’s shoes size 10-11 that they had… big feet can be hard to shop for so thx DSW
