Called several times-called the cell number-drove down to AUS-went to store during business hours-on a SAT-no one available-office looks deserted-quite a shame-went because of review-will check for another service provider-don't waste your time if you're not from AUS...

Poor non service. I eventually had to retrieve my item(typewriter).Poor communication and the extended time was unexplainable, especially when I left it in their hands for a month. The service I needed was completed in a week by a different provider.

I was looking for an older manual typewriter to use for writing. Everything kept pointing to ignoring Facebook marketplace and Craigslist and to reach out to Duncan-Muñoz Office Machines.

Duncan-Munoz Office Machines may still be open. The voice mail states he is having health issues and needs to take some time off. The recording doesn't say when it was made.

Is this place still open? No one ever answers the phone. It would be a shame if it closed as I don't think anyone else in town works on typewriters.

Know the owner, I've worked for him for years. Always customer minded and very knowledgeable. Goes the extra mile.

This was a great experience having an antique typewriter fixed and serviced by a very nice man. They were able to help me and straight away and the price was very fair.

Can't even express how great this guy is! I bought a vintage typewriter and it got to me not functioning. I called Steve and he told me to bring it in. 30 minutes later he fixed the shipping damage and tested it out for a really reasonable price. Don't even try anyone else.

My experience with Duncan Business Machines was a horrible experience. When I initially called on a Friday at 2:30 p.m., I explained that I needed two parts changed out on my printer. The person that answered said that the person that could help me was not in. I asked when he would arrive and the person told me, "I don't know. Sometime in the afternoon." Around 4:00 p.m. I get a call and explain the situation. The technician said he would be able to change out the parts (I had the replacement parts) and would be by to pick up the printer on Monday morning. He said the job would take about 4 hours and he would drop off the printer on Monday before we closed at 5:00 p.m. On Monday, the technician shows up and asks if I have a dolly to move the printer. Our office doesn't have a dolly and I was thinking, "If you pick up printers on an occasional basis, shouldn't you have your own?" I helped him carry the printer out. I reminded him that he said the printer would be back by that afternoon. He said yes, and if was not able to bring it back that afternoon, it would be back on Tuesday morning at the latest. Tuesday at noon arrives and the printer is not here and I've heard nothing. I call and am told that it is taking them longer than expected and will return the printer later that day. I said, "No one had even called to let me know what was going on, but at least I'll have the printer back today." The response was, "Well, I can't promise anything. It might be back tomorrow morning." He just told me it would be back later that day! I told him to call me if anything changes. On Wednesday, I get a call at 4:00 p.m. The printer is not ready. He assured me they would have the printer back at the office on Monday morning That Thursday was Thanksgiving Day. Monday morning comes and there is no printer. I call and leave a voicemail. Later on in the afternoon I receive a call that the printer will be at the office the next morning. "I want to know a time. How about 11:00 a.m." "Ok. 11:00 a.m." "You promise it will be here by 11:00 a.m.?" "Yes." At 11:45 a.m. the next day I get a call saying the printer is on it's way back. Yes, the printer got fixed. However, the amount of time it took was absurd! Our office had no printer that entire time! It would be a different story had I been told how long it would actually take. When the printer was dropped off, he was told how much of an inconvenience it had been on the business. It was only then that he offered an irritated apology. Don't use this company!

Duncan-Munoz Office Machines is a great example of a quality, old school Austin business. They will always take care of you there. The owner is fantastic - super customer and family-oriented. I would recommend this business to anyone in need of office equipment repair.
