Good breakfast and service. Be ready to pay $50/night for parking. It’s downtown so I understand why

I would give this place four stars if it weren’t for some significant shortcomings. The facility is nice and the location is good. I always stay at the Embassy suites for the nice open atrium concept. Breakfast is the same as other embassy suites and is fine. Rooms are good in general though maybe a tad smaller than what I’m used to for Embassy suites. Did not like the $49 per night charge for parking. Also was very put off by evening reception foods, Fritos, and trail mix? And lastly, did not like the fact that a Jacuzzi was advertised on Google that they have since paved over. Who removes a hot tub?

A little bit disappointed with this Embassy Suites location relative to the many I frequent across the country. Staff always friendly and courteous during visit, breakfast buffet was delicious, and same across all ES hotels. Disappointed that diamond members aren't given goodie bag containing water (I didn't ask for it, but staff did thank me for being diamond member). Room was spacious and comfortable, some minor details were noted - only 1 washcloth provided (usually get 2), and no dirty laundry bags found in the closet. I was only staying one night, so wasn't too bad. The biggest issue I encountered that my rental car was broken into, and luckily only my expensive sunglasses were taken. Parking garage not secure, and access is not direct (you have to walk from garage < 30 yards to get to hotel. Elevator in garage is sketchy at best. Do not leave valuables in car overnight if using garage. The staff was helpful/cooperative in helping cover the broken window in my car with plastic upon leaving hotel.
Safety: Parking garage not secure; gate open to anyone, anyone can get into garage; Elevator operation is sketchy at best. There may be monitors recording activity, but nobody is watching garage for break-ins.

This is one of the worst Embassy Suites we have ever stayed in. The rooms are old (in a dire need of renovation), some carpets look dirtier than a sidewalk, shower kept clogging, some lights kept flickering, the sofas in the room were so unclean (see pic) that we were hesitant to sit on them.
The elevator in the parking deck (separate building next door) makes strange noises and is very slow.
There was a hole in the bathroom ceiling (see pic) that was taped over. The tape fell off (on my son while he was using the potty!)
Also, their TVs are so old that they don’t have OTT apps. We wanted to watch a movie with our kids but were disappointed that we couldn’t connect to Netflix/Prime. (Their On-Demand collection is very small and uninteresting.)

Great location, a short walk to Austin downtown and to S congress district. Very helpfully and friendly staff. Evening reception was nice with free drinks. Will stay again

Other than a great location, ok service and decent breakfast, nothing else about this hotel is good. The rooms were so dated. The pull out couch was dirty (stains all over), cushions were ripped and had no padding so you could feel all the gaps while sleeping. Also, charging $52 for parking is insane. This hotel could use some major updating.

We were very disappointed about our recent visit. There were three of us in a suite on the premium floor. We loved the location and how close it was to the New Years in the park and to sixth street. My son was to sleep on the pull out but we had no extra sheets or blankets which we didn’t realize until after we returned from the New Years celebration. It was late and the hotel was very busy so we didn’t contact the front desk. But then we kept finding more inconveniences. The thermostat didn’t work, we had no extra blankets, no wash clothes, and no coffee. We expected much more from a premium floor at a premium hotel.

Room was spacious but many problems with it.
1. AC is broken the room is freezing and they don’t have extra blankets
2. There is no trash bags in the trash can
3. Provide less towels than other hiltons
4. There is no stairs the only way is to take elevators
5. The hotel needs a renovation

Was told that the only way to get upstairs was via the elevator. The elevator doesn't require a key. Anyone can go to any level. But, you are absolutely not allowed to take the stairs. I found this a strange requirement. Especially when a long line was waiting for the elevator after a concert event.

Solid hotel. No frills. No drama. Exactly what one would expect.

Over sold their rooms and then put me in another hotel 30 minutes away. Extremely frustrating after a long day of travel.

Nice sized rooms but with many housekeeping problems. I stayed here for business for six nights. The room size I booked was great for this purpose. There was a separate living area with a table that pulled out with three chairs. Lots of space to work on the computer and to work / relax on the sofa. There was a mini fridge, microwave and a coffee maker.
I did have several issues with the service at the hotel. Other recent reviews have highlighted several of these problems. They are real.
The housekeeping is really substandard. The first morning, they came at 8am. I told them to come back after 11 when I would be gone. The room was not serviced that day. Same story the next day. But I also went to the front desk to ask them to make sure it got service. Again not serviced. The third day it did get serviced after I complained twice at the front desk. I think it's reasonable to have the room serviced after 11am. They did a minimal job, didn't leave enough towels nor did they replace the coffee provided. On a stay of 6 nights my room was serviced twice.
The garage is nearby but not connected. You have to park on the upper levels but the elevator is not working or is scary. I got in one time and it raced to the top and popped me out on the top floor after making some horrible noises. I didn't ride it in again. They said that most of elevators were not working and the one that did work only stopped on a couple floors. Uh yeah not great.
The breakfast ended at 9am every day but the weekend. I would really prefer a bit later at 10am. It would be nice if they had coffee available all day, especially given that they don't even refill the coffee in the room.
Overall, the stay was disappointing. I would look for other options before staying again.

Very dated property in dire need of improvement! For $288 per night you’d expect some of the little touches that are even found in value motels such as water glasses for bathroom use, better towel racks in the bathroom and lighting fixtures that actually work!! Furniture was tattered and worn and wall coverings showed numerous signs of half-hearted patch jobs and repairs. Previous reviewers have also noted evidence of bed bugs but the jury is still out on that. And when you pay $45 per night for garage parking, it’s kind of nice when the elevators actually work!! Breakfast was plentiful, well prepared and tasty and staff overall was very professional (although there was a subtle awareness that they worked at a property that’s definitely seen better days!) All in all, avoid unless its the only choice based on location!

Room was fine. Breakfast was great but the parking was the worst. We went to the wrong elevator in the parking garage, which didn't work, so we used the stairs, which had human feces in it. The walk from the parking garage to the hotel wasn't too long but just a little inconvenient for us.
