  And let me tell you the customer was highly rude just because she had a line and clearly told us basically to hurry up what we wanted to tell her and she was telling us how she got a line and but yet talks to a guy when walking in like we are regular customers and to get treated unfairly was so disappointing they need to hire better people I who work for customers service know how to take care of customers

  This store is so MESSY! Boxes of things that need to be put on shelves in the walkway. Such a safety hazard. I do not understand how they’re still open! The lady at the cash register working around 4pm on 07/14/2024 was eating her chips with the chip bag to her face and was not friendly. I tried using my clipped coupons through my phone app that has a barcode and she told me they can’t enter or scan it so what’s the point in having these app coupons if there’s no way to use them?? I think she was just being lazy. You can tell she has no customer service skills whatsoever. Store is dirty, messy, and the employees are horrible. I’ve only came across one older lady who works there who is so sweet.

  This location is very ghetto unorganized rude employees especially management. Never have change majority of the time i have to leave my items in the store because of it!

  Terrible service the manager I'm not sure what she is constantly tells customer off and then ask them to leave when you tell her something back and when you ask for the corporate number she doesn't give it to you it's always a problem with that lady

  I’ve contacted my lawyer and corporate because I went to this store today and was accused of stealing because I grabbed my phone out of my purse because I received a call!! I was told by the rude no hair manager that I shouldn’t have put my hand in my purse if I didn’t want to be accused of stealing. I work hard for my money and I do not need or want to steal from anywhere!! I asked her to check her cameras and point out to me where her or the other employee that was following me seen me put something in my purse she refused to. She then asked to see inside my purse which I let her because I have nothing to hide. I will never shop at this store or any other family dollar store again this is bill and it was embarrassing!! My lawyer will be in touch

  If I could give them zero stars, I would they hardly had anything that was a Dollar like people who are struggling and trying to go and get some thing for food and stuff. They were over price kind of like dollar general but the worst part was the isles were super small. They had one person on check out and he was a dick and the other people that finally came to make another check out weren't doing anything about how Rude he was when it was his fault that he couldn't find the items that was like about five items that I wanted to take off because things were overprice and when I added them together it was over my budget and he was being a dick right in front of me and was like she was trying to take off 15 different things and started complaining and I was like you know what never mind and I was like what a dick as I walked out

  I went into this store (as I always do) with my purse (backpack) and tonight the Chinaboy tells me to leave my purse at the front. Nope not my purse. I went in to buy light bulbs and bleach ONLY. So the entire time he is talking cramp I told him to call Ms. Megan because I always have my purse. Anyways I feel like he racially profiled me and I will be calling corporate to report it. It’s not cool and it was embarrassing to be arguing with a guy that’s a “manager” about MY PURSE. I ended up not even purchasing any of the items and took my money elsewhere.I opened my purse to show him it was my bag dude see Clorox wipes and says “see look at those wipes”. Duh sir it’s too much going in the world to not keep them. It’s not what you say it’s how you say it. I am a working woman at the end of the day. DISCRIMINATION IS ILLEGAL

  The family dollar in Elgin is the dirtiest Family Dollar I every seen. It looks like no one has ever cleaned here.

  The only reason I give it 1 star is just to vent. The place is a disaster and the customer service is a joke. Nobody is wearing a mask. She was so very rude. Patsie Ann or something like that. Should be fired.
