I visited this meat store recently, and the customer service was disappointing. The staff was unresponsive, and when I asked about the wait time, their response was rude. A business like this should prioritize basic courtesy and clear communication with customers. I hope they improve their service in the future.

There is a sneaky guy who handed me stored and already cut baby goat when i ordered shoulder of grown goat and that too was smelly. ewww never going back to this place.

Came here at 7 when it says the closing time is at 8 knowing that close is already stored. No value for customer time. Same behavior noticed twice.

I was a regular customer, liked their goat & chicken meat quality. But from last couple of visits their quality has gone down, particularly not as fresh as before, having more bones. Started to explore other shops now

First time trying this place. The cashier guy was so rude, had long nails (zero hygeine), and tried to scam us twice. First he charged us for organic chicken, without asking if we wanted regular or organic. Then when I said something, he switched to regular but charged for "skin on" weight. Why would you weigh with skin when you are throwing away the skin? I just noticed when I got home. Half the weight goes in skin and the butchers waist so much of the chicken like half the wings which are perfectly edible. And the front guy refuses to communicate with the butchers so there is nobody training them or monitoring them. What a disappointing experience.

today the meat was so unfresh even you can feel in the bite , and my stomach got upset I am really unhappy. This was my second time buying from here first was good and fresh and today oh my Ghosh I feel like quitting goat meat

Even though I had heard from friends that Famous Meats served poor quality meats, we still tried it twice and, believe me, both times the lamb meat was atrocious. The second time, as soon as I got home, I noticed that the lamb had been mixed with old meat, which had turned brown. We still cooked, but the whole endeavor was for naught.

We tried Goat Head and Hilsa today and they both are very fresh and tasty after cooking. Store is very clean and smells good, workers on the front are very good and patient in listening your specification for cutting. Overall very good store for people in and around Austin. Definitely a must visit store for everyone.

Brought goat head which was not fresh and it was very Smelly….I went to return it and the staff was saying that it was good and fresh however I returned and got refund too… it was sticky also…..
