The worst experience I could imagine. Order $1200 worth of gas and takes 3 weeks for delivery. Called numerous times and no one knows anything. Avoid at all costs.

Their tank monitoring system is useless! We always self monitor and adjusted the usage online b/c their estimate is always wrong and off by about 10 to 15%- and that's a big deal when you get to empty and they still show 10%! The Emergency Fill is a joke! We ran dry on a 34 degree night, with children and animals in the house, wake up to the smell of gas and no one came out for 7 hours to check the lines and it was it was 15 hours before we received a fill up! But of course this took calling 6 times & even then when they showed it they only had 30% left to give us b/c someone was rerouted to us since they forgot about us! After an emergency call at 4 am and 6 calls during the day- they forgot about us?!?!Not to mention they one of the customer service reps actually blamed me for running out of gas! Said if I would t have let my tank run dry none of this would have happened!! They put a monitor on our tank- and this is my fault?! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We will be switching to someone else as well!

We are having an extremely bad experience with Ferrell Gas, 4711 Doss Rd, Austin, TX 78734-1201. We are renting a home in Briarcliff. Ferrell Gas took weeks to make a delivery and fill the propane tank at this residence, on Jan 5. However, driver only filled 40% of the tank. Now, in the midst of the ice storm, our propane tank has gone empty and Ferrell Gas was scheduled to "fill again" by Feb. 15. Here is the real poor service issue. We've called the Doss Road phone multiple times today and discussed our situation. No one calls us back. We now learn, that, as of Wednesday afternoon, Ferrell Gas may be able to send a truck on Sat/Sunday! Alex Ronnebaum is the manager there. Despite requests, we are not allowed to speak to anyone in management! Icing on the cake: I looked up the Ferrell Gas Corporate Headquarters in Liberty, Missouri. No way to speak to the CEO, Jim Ferrell. Only Voicemails. Why is our plight serious? This house has propane tank licensed to Ferrell Gas. Only they can fill it, per Texas Law. Meanwhile we have a 72 year-old grandmother in a house with the temps falling below 55 degrees. No one at Ferrell Gas cares! They will let her shiver for five or more days. We are ready to call the Austin Statesman American, KXAN, Spectrum News to share our experience with Ferrell Gas.

We had Sharp propane which was purchased by Ferrell, several years ago. They finally switched over last year, and they've not been great. We almost ran out of propane last year, and when I contacted them it was several weeks before they could fill. Autofill is no longer Autofill, they aim to come out once a year. That's it. So I have to watch the tank closely and aim for them to come out when I actually need it, which is a minimum of 4 times a year with propane central heating. Not when they determine I may need it. Very unhappy with their customer service, based out of a different state, who are barely polite. I will not be recommending them, their service is not adequate to our needs. Will be looking for a better company who will provide both propane and service.

I would love to give Ferrellgas a Negative 5 in ratings. I have placed orders and they don't get filled. When you call in for assistance you are routed to whomever answers the phone and it isn't local. The people answering have tried to get in touch with the local office but no one answers. My order was placed on Nov. 9th and was due to be delivered by Nov. 23rd. It is now Nov. 29th and I still don't have a delivery. I have called numerous times and talked to numerous people. I have requested to have a Supervisor call me and they can't or won't even do that. Alex Ronnebaum is the District Manager listed on the Web page. No one wants to work or communicate in our service area. Maybe when someone in the corporate office reads reviews they will do something about this. Though I highly doubt they will do anything. Seeing as all of the reviews are terrible and the company does not believe in customer service.Warning to all potential customers. I have a leased tank that the previous owner did not disclose was leased. Ferrellgas showed up on my property unannounced and unscheduled. We had on our account to call before coming because we had pets in our yard that we did not want to get out. The driver let himself in our gate and almost hit a pet and then hit my brand new car that still had paper plates on it. Ferrellgas chalked it up to a simple mistake and never even apologized. They just sent a check for the damage but nothing to cover the loss in value of my new vehicle. I hate doing business with this company. Nothing ever gets better!!

I'd give negative 5 stars if I could. A complete disaster of a circus clown show. They let us run dry multiple times even though we were on auto fill so we switched companies. Now they claim they own our tank and is charging us rent even though it's our tank. Just a disgrace of a company.

They drove into and broke our Christmas lights strung across the driveway. Driver had to know he hit them cause he drove back over them on way out and never said anything. Company never would reimburse us for this.

Just like everyone else - they have let our tank go empty twice despite the fact that we are on auto fill program and several phone calls to come out. No one ever calls back when you leave messages. I’m perplexed how this place is still in business and how they are able to treat people the way they do. It should be illegal when you are a company in charge of a families heat and you do not come fill the tank in a timely manor.

Zero is more appropriate. Totally unreliable. No emergency line, no weekend hours. No commitment on delivery. I have run out of gas the last two winters. I'm on autofill plan, I'm not supposed to manage my tank, but I do. Ignored my refill at 10%, ignored it at 5% and ignored it at 3%. Also ignored my wife's phone call request for refill at 1%. Never rolled a truck from 2/16 thru 2/28. Learned they don't take calls on the weekend so your out of luck! I fired them on the 2/28, new suppler came out the same day on a Saturday!

Do not recommend. Just like many of the other reviews here, they didn’t show up on the date set and when I called, they tried to deny that they gave me this date. There’s other options in the area. I recommend using them.

Walked inside and smelled gas in the house. It is because we are that low on propane. We are on "auto fill" but the last delivery was November 11. Today is January 18th.

We've been with Sharp for years and were happy, but since they were recently bought by Ferrellgas the service has been awful. We're switching to another provider.

Been trying to get someone out here since last week. No answer. Now the driveway won't be navigable until end of week, but can't contact anyone to try to schedule. NOT happy.
