December 2023 by Cyndi L.
We went to Macy's in Barton Creek Square Mall for Black Friday. We had a sectional in mind that we had been wanting to purchase and were ready to buy it. We went through the whole process of opening a Macy's card, setting up a delivery date and walked out excited to get our new furniture in just 3 weeks. We confirmed this couch was in stock. Our delivery date was set to Dec. 6. On Dec 5 we cleared our living room, removing the current couch and arm chair that occupied the space where the new sectional sofa would go. Half way through Dec 6, my husband called Macy's to see if they had an ETA for the delivery. They informed him they had no such purchase on record. We had a reservation number, salescheck number and delivery date on what we thought was a sales receipt and they could not locate it. It turns out, the sales person, Debbie, never finalized the sale!! And now the couch is on BACKORDER UNTIL MARCH! We now have no furniture in our living room - no furniture for Christmas, no furniture for New Year's- No furniture for just being at home to hang out and watch TV. The only compensation they provided was $100 off the sale price. NOTHING ELSE! When Debbie called me a few days after she just kept saying, I don't know how this could happen-It happened because SHE did not complete the job! There was NO accountability on her part-NO apology just a call to say she was making sure I got my $100!! This has us BEYOND frustrated! We are so disappointed in the lack of customer service and just the lack of concern for this. We really thought Macy's was better than this.

I think the only good thing about this Macy is that I was there early enough to find good parking. Walk in and I'm immediately greeted by what I can only think of as, pounding headache of perfume. They must pump that in through the vents. If you're going to perfume us to death, try not using old lady perfume. Something more pleasant, or better yet, nothing at all. Let's agree no on chemicals. Clearance racks. Just piled on the racks. They have jeans, shorts, tops, skirts all sizes, all types, no organization of sizes. I've been in Salvation Army stores that are better than these 4 clearance racks. The whole bottom floor is women's and makeup, where are your women's lingerie? On the 2nd floor with men's clothing. How does that make any sense? All your women's items are on the 1st floor. Escalator is broken, use the elevator. Go up the elevator and it's men's and housewares. The very back corner is women's lingerie. Awesome. Fit what I'm looking for, but I'd like to try it on first. No fitting rooms. Go all the way back down the elevator, to try them on, and they don't fit. As if I'm going back up across the whole store to the back corner again, to find a larger size. Have a nice day. I'll try Dillards next door. I can't even make this up.

Nice store when you walk in. Prices are not affordable for most middle class shoppers. Had to use their restrooms and wow. Is this Walmart? Horrible area, go next door to Dicks, lol.

Macy's ok department store, Macy's a good place to buy bc of sales and Macy rewards but good luck having an employee help you find anything. I Needed a Suit, had to try everything out myself. At Men's Wearhouse (little more expensive) their employees actually measure your body (waistline, neck, etc.), but guess thats the tradeoff for having lower prices. Again, Macy's is great, only if you already know your clothing size and dont need anyone to help you.

Macy's used to be my go-to and it's gone downhill FAST. No wonder they're all failing. Customer service here is awful. Purchased an item that was apparently final sale. There's no sticker or anything on the tag, it wasn't on a "final sales" rack, and worse, there was no mention of it from the person checking me out. Usually they say "this is final sale - is that okay"? I would have said no and put it back! I only found out it was final sale when I tried to return it at Lakeline. The only way for me to know this is final sale is by the presence of "A#" next to the item on the receipt - is this supposed to be enough information for the customer to see this is final sale? So I called Domain, manager on duty said she could give me store credit - fine. Drive all the way down there, and a different manager on duty says she can't do it. Told me to read my receipt. So beyond the selection of clothes and DISGUSTING changing rooms, my beef is that TWO employees have failed to give me accurate or helpful information and now I am stuck with a shirt I don't want or need. No compassion, no offer to make it better, not even an offer to speak with the two employees involved in this mess. Megan, the manager, was rude, dismissive and repeatedly told me to "read the return policy". At one point she literally suggested I kneel down and read the placards on the front of the check out counter. Screw this place. Might cancel my Macys card after holding out for so long...

This is a review for Dennis, in the men's department. We came into the store on a Saturday, around 5 PM, and it was super busy. (The Domain? Busy on a Saturday? Duh. Should've known better - ha). Dennis was working at the cash register and when we asked for help in the suit department, he immediately came to our assistance. Dennis was patient, educated my husband on the different brands and fits to find the best one (no tailoring needed!), and helped us find exactly what we were looking for. Not to mention he stayed late to support us! Thank you, Dennis! (Also - if anyone at Macy's reads this...I couldn't figure out how to leave a positive associate review on your website or by finding the store manager's info so...please share :). Thank you!)

I agree with the poor customer service reviews. My mom was happy to have found some shoes today that she really liked and were the only pair left with the $40 red circle tag. However, when they tried charging a significantly higher price at the register, and my mom pointed out the advertised price, they simply ripped it off and said no that’s wrong. It was the aggressive abruptness and lack of care for me. When we wanted to speak with someone else they said there’s no manager here we’re independent. Take your business elsewhere. False advertising.

Please stop marking your racks as 40% off etc when there's actually no sale. It's frustrating for a customer to navigate multiple items which are marked at sale but eventually are being sold at full price.

Watch out for false advertising..... came in looking for a gift. I couldn't find what I was looking for so I decided to go look for something for myself... I found a jacket on the clearance rack and the price was marked out with a marker and I couldn't tell what the price was... I took it to the cashiers and they say they couldn't tell me the price and ask me where I got it from. I showed them where I got it from and they even look around to see if there was another one which there wasn't. They said take it to costumer service they'll be able to help you there. When I go to costumer service they tell me the same thing. The lady that was helping me said the jacket was out of season maybe been there for so long .. so they call Julie which seem to be the manager. She said I couldn't buy the jacket because they couldn't sell it to me for the price that was ringing up for.. Julie proceed to say they can do 70 % off of its original price ... I said but the jacket it's already reduce and it was in a 60-70% so why would I pay for a price that the jacket it's not ringing up for.. she went ahead and say well I can't sell it to you for that price . I told that that false advertising because the reduce jacket was already reduced and it was in a clearance rack with a sign stating 60-70 off and there other items that was reduce so is not like the jacket was placed there. She went ahead and say sorry I can't sell it to you for what's ringing up do you want to buy for the price we are giving you yes or no . I said no and left the store... I call the store while I was in the parking lot to speak to a manager they put me on hold and it waited for 10 minutes no one pick up so I decided to hang up. I call again but my calls weren't going through anymore I call from a different phone and my call finally went through. I do not if they block my number but when I asked for the gm they said it was Julie so I do not know if she knew it was me the one calling to report the problems or if the blocked my number . Never coming back here and canceling my Macy's credit card.

I've shopped at Macys for many years and for the first time i actually received the worst service this afternoon. i walked in on a rainy day to pickup a paid order which i had my order confirmation for on my phone. little did i know you had to also have your id for pickup which it doesn't mention on your online order. upon arriving i was greeted by a nice customer service rep and while she was picking up my order another associate named Janie decided to put her two cents in and rudely got involved. i mentioned i had my order confirmation on my phone and than scolded me as to why i didn't have a photograph of my license on my phone. i apologized but she began to lecture me on why i needed my id and told me she wasn't going to release my package to me. not only was she unprofessional and sarcastic down to eye rolls. i've worked in luxury at the Domain for over 10 years and have never experienced this horrible level of customer service. i returned later after work and instead of welcomed back in while i waited for a manger to assist me she ignored me and while i was waiting another client said i'm sorry you're next and Janie looked and her and said don't worry someone else is helping him. i was greeted by a sweet manager on duty and explained why i was unhappy with the service i received. after finishing up with the manager i went over to the watches and purchased a $400 watch featured below. the gentleman gave exceptional service. as for Janie i would highly recommend more training on selling service skills for her, if you plan to keep her employed there. after this experience i hope i don't have to deal with her again.

I stopped by the Macy's store at the Domain the other day and Sara in the Women's department was very sweet. She is one of the reasons why this store is still in business to begin with. I sincerely hope the management appreciates the employees like her.

The junior area is almost always bad, clothes on the floor, just blah! Bad customer service! Upstairs is much more better! Fragrance and cosmetics area can be a challenge!

we have been living nearby since more than a decade and coming to this store every now and then. This Father's Day we took my husband to buy a watch. we took about 10 mins at a counter then went to another to consider a Bulova another. we convinced my husband for a more costly watch and came back to a counter, and no body helped us for easily about 25 mins. the lady on the next counter (who had helped us first) eventually came, asked us clearly are you planning on buying or will you just look and buy online? because I'd rather help a million other people interested who might buy right now. we were shocked and kept looking. we asked again will you help us to at least look at it, and she said No, I'm sorry you are too rude and I'm not helping you. walked away in the most rude manner. The lady literally ruined fathers day for us!!! we walked away spending 2 hours without getting to take a look at the watch. i know they are understaffed but this behavior was Horrible and by no means justified. maybe Macy's is just being racist and doesn't care about others because their employees would rather help those who "Look" like they will buy something! I'm truly disappointed!

Store a little dirty, hard to find something good. Line at dressing rooms, some where closed for some reason. Lots of clothes on floor laying all over the place. Looks like someone just walked through and threw them on the ground but they didn't, they were just laying everywhere on the floor and you had to walk on them just to get around.

The associates are friendly but I can find far more extensive jewelry selection and at better prices on ebay. I used to love shopping at Foley's before they took it over and removed most brands. I could find anything I wanted. Surprised this is the 'upscale' shopping district. Somebody lost a lot of money constructing this place.
