I recently brought my dog, Apollo, in for a visit due to concerns about a possible bronchitis infection and a torn ligament. From the moment we arrived, we received exceptional care. The team saw us very quickly and took every one of our concerns seriously. I was particularly impressed by the amount of detailed notes they took during the first visit, which showed how much they truly care about their patients. Throughout the entire process, they kept us updated and made sure both my partner and I were informed every step of the way.
I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking compassionate and thorough care for their pets. Thank you for making a stressful situation much easier to handle!

Dr. Bonnet was so incredible. She was so sweet to me and my cat Pinky and answered all of my questions in detail. Her text update after Pinky’s dental surgery when I was unable to answer her call was so sweet and personable and I could tell that she really cared about my Pinky girl. I seriously love her so much and I know that my fur babies are in great hands at Firehouse <3

I genuinely love Firehouse! I have two cats, and both have been taken here and treated with the absolute highest of care and consideration. Every single staff member I have come across is not only knowledgeable, but very empathetic and caring - making you feel like family - rather than a patient or a “number” in my experience.
Dr. Rivas truly works with me and my fur babies needs and listens intently. He has so much knowledge, and has always provided various routes/options of treatment for me to choose what would work best for my current situation, without me ever feeling pressured/judged. I sooo appreciate you Dr. Rivas, and all of your genuine kindness and feedback! Please continue the great work :)

I’m truly thankful to the Firehouse staff. Their warmth and exceptional customer and pet care has really left an impact on me. I came in very emotional and scared for our Benji, but they took care of us both. Thank you very much from the front office to the technicians and Vet. You all are the very best!

They were able to fit my little guy in last minute. I was passing through Austin and forgot his medicine at our hotel and they were able to do a quick exam and get me a supply of his meds for the road. All of the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Thank you!!

This is my 3rd pet, little Mochi, our kitten, the newest addition to our family. I have never had any issues, all the staff members from the front desk, vet techs and to Dr. Bonnet, has always been a great friendly experience for all my current and past visits. Everyone is so helpful and they give a lot of love to my furkids as if it was their member of the family. I couldn’t ask for a better Veterinary to take my furkids to! I would refer anyone looking to take their family pets to! This is the place to be! Thank you to everyone at Firehouse Westlake location!

I had came in with my dog who was immobile from a tweak in his back (he had spinal surgery a few months prior). When I called the desk I told them I was bringing him in for an emergency appointment, I arrived at firehouse with my dog in my arms and I could see through the door that 4 employees were standing by the front desk chatting.
Not one of them tried to help open the door for me as I struggled to bring my dog in. When I met with the vet they tried to almost immediately send him in for another surgery. Thankfully I decided against putting my dog through that pain again and let him take medicine and get bed rest.
Update: tried to give this place a chance again and all I got was a bunch of “maybe this will help your dog but we’re not sure” and trying to charge $450 for a maybe. I asked them to clip my dogs nails when they took him back and they couldn’t even do that and another $230 wasted on nothing.

I've been taking my dog here for a few years, but I wanted to leave a review because recently the staff here has really gone above and beyond for my pup and I. I brought her in because she had an accident in the house, and I knew something was wrong, and they found a gallbladder mucocele! Her gallbladder was close to rupturing, and they were able to get her into surgery within the week. They were great at keeping me updated on the situation and all her tests, calling me as soon as they had any news and calling to make sure my dog was doing okay after the surgery. They literally saved my dogs life. Words will never be enough for how beyond grateful I am. The staff here took SUCH good care of us, I really feel like my dog is a little celebrity when I take her there. I've always been happy and recommended this vet before, but now I know for 100% fact that I wouldn't take any of my animals anywhere else. I will say they're a LITTLE more expensive than your average vet, but for the quality of care you get, I would happily pay over and over and over. And they do really try to work with you on pricing too.
Long story short, this is the best vet you could ever take your fur babies to. I love all of them for all the hard work they've put in this past month to take care of us, and I'll never be able to thank them enough. If you're not going here, you're crazy.

Firehouse staff and veterinarians have always gone out of their way to help when my pets have had any issues. They are very accommodating, and take as much time as needed to make sure I understand what needs/ might be done. I feel that they are truly a team That enjoys working together and then they are a team with me as the pet Owner. I enjoy my interactions with them and how they approach my pets with such care.

Definitely recommend coming here to get your pet checked out. Dr Amy and all the assistants were so helpful and friendly. The whole place has a great vibe. Curtis was dreading the trip there but he seemed so happy on the way back home.

There aren't enough thank you's to express my gratitude for the care my pets have received from Firehouse. We ended up at Firehouse when I adopted my sweet Smokey from Georgie and her husband, who mentioned working there.When Smokey was diagnosed with Spinal Meningitis, I was provided not only the best care / recommendations for him, but also offered the care and support from myself up until his final days... and even after.I consider Georgie, Dr. Rivas, and the entire team at Firehouse part of our fur family, and will always recommend.
