It's our first year at Ecole Jean-Jacques Rousseau and we couldn't be happier to have found this gem of a school for our daughters. They both came from a traditional American neighborhood school and in a just a few months Dr Louali's team has managed to catch both of our daughters with their current grade levels. It's a perfect blend of academic excellence and growth mindset philosophy. I absolutely recommend this program for a well rounded education where stem and fine arts are placed on the same level.

Lovely school! The staffs are great. The school and the classrooms are small. Some may prefer the biggest school but for us, we knew our children would have all the help they can need because of the ratio of teacher/students. This is a real family school where we, as parents, are feeling part of. The academic is top-notch in French and English. We can't ask more for our children! This school is a gem! Keep up the good work EJJR!

We are from non-French background but were looking to enroll our kid in a school that gave him an opportunity to learn a new language as well as is academically challenging. Our neighbor kids go to this School and she recommended talking to the School Director. In just one meeting we got answers to all our questions and knew that this is the school we want to send our kid to. Since we didn't know French at all we were a bit nervous when our kid started in 1st grade. We were not sure how he would adjust not knowing the language. But to our surprise, our kid loves the school. He is always excited every time I drop him or pick up. What I think helps is that class sizes are small and the teachers are very involved with the kids with individualized attention most of the time. They make teaching fun and I can see my kid starting to talk in French too. The teachers are very responsive to any queries we have. They also gave options to do some advanced level course when we thought our kid was not challenged enough in a particular area. The string program is mandatory from 1st grade and I like the fact that my kid is getting to learn music as well. Overall we are very happy with this school and we are looking forward to the time when we can visit France and not worry about talking in French as we will have our own expert with us :)

Our son is currently in second grade at EJJR, having been there since kindergarten, and we couldn't be happier with the education and attention to his well-being that they provide. The French curriculum, augmented with English reading and math and the string program, have provided an environment in which he has flourished far beyond what he would have in a regular elementary school. The Loualis have created an amazing place for children to blossom, and we count ourselves very lucky indeed that we get to be a part of it.

This school is awesome, it's a gem! The focus is on the student and with the small class they are able to go to the rhythm of each child. My two kids go there. My older one began there in PreK 4 and she is still there, now she is in 4th grade. So it's been 6 years that we are at that school and the kids love it! I'm a French Canadian so for me it's was very important to find a school where my kids would be able to learn a very good French. And we find it! The teachers are greats and everything is focus on the kids needs. I highly recommend this school.

A wonderful school where my daughter (in grade 2) is thriving. She tells me how "fast the day goes by" because of how engaging and fun it is. The classes are small and the French language education is outstanding.

My child has attended this school for six years, and we have had nothing but wonderful experiences. The academics are top-notch, and it is astonishing how quickly the children can pick up French even with no previous background. The teachers also have the emotional intelligence to work with each child in a way that is most suitable for that individual. Children also learn a string instrument through a Suzuki approach, and there are many projects that mix visual art and academics. Students also have opportunities to work on performance skills, whether reciting a poem in class or singing and dancing for a school concert. Highly recommended for any family looking for a great education in a small, comfortable setting.

Our daughter is halfway through her second year at this school and her knowledge of the French language is very impressive. She loves going to school here and hates it when she is absent. We did not have any prior knowledge of the French language, but now she can hold a conversation in French and sometimes we hear her playing with her dolls using French. She also likes to watch Disney movies in French.

This school is a gem. Small classes, high-quality nurturing teachers, kids are respectful, the love of learning is upheld and every child feels like they have their place in the community. After only 2 months in PK3, we saw a tremendous growth in maturity, independence, and language acquisition in our child. We are impressed with the director's leadership style that sets the tone for a harmonious, organized, clean, and collaborative environment. The French curriculum - both culturally rich and intellectually challenging - is accompanied by advanced English and Singapore math programs, resulting in a well-rounded education. We also love the performing arts and music component of this school, giving each child the confidence to perform in front of audiences and a deep appreciation for the arts, while nurturing their emotional development. And just from the look of our child, he loves this school too.

This is our fifth year with Ecole Jean Jacques Rousseau/French School of Austin. Our oldest attending is in fourth grade now, followed by his sister in second grade, and the youngest in preschool. We like the small class sizes, the challenging coursework, and the personal attention to each child's academic growth. Our children return home happy and excited about the things they are learning. We took them to France last summer and put them in camps with native French speaking children. We are pleased that they adapted well and had no trouble communicating or playing with the other children. Thanks to the school, they are well on their way to becoming fully bilingual and it is exciting to see! The school itself is in a very modest building with limited resources, but the education provided, and the teachers themselves are excellent! The environment is warm and nurturing and they genuinely care about kids. We are so glad we found this wonderful school for our children.

Love this school. So much enthusiasm about education here! Teachers are native speakers, which makes a big difference. Class sizes are small, allowing learning to be very personalized. Curriculum is rigorous; it is taught in a well-thought out way and the students have fun learning! Concepts build on each other so the path of learning is clear. As a parent, I can see a lot of progress so far. More important, my children seem happy and feel positive about education and learning. It's worth checking out if you are looking for a bilingual or multilingual education, a personalized education, or even just a great place to begin your child's school experience.

Our child has attended Ecole Jean-Jacques Rousseau (French School of Austin) for three years, and we have been very pleased with our experience. During that time, our student went from knowing no French at all to being able to do grade-level work in all subjects in French.

My children are finishing their second and third years at French School of Austin/Ecole Jean Jacques Rousseau and I am very pleased with the academic and language progress they've made in a small class environment. Not only are they receiving the gift of a second (and third) language, but both have excelled in mathematics, English, science, and the performing arts. The coursework is challenging and engaging, and the teachers help the students rise to the occasion. The children have forged close bonds with their classmates and teachers. I have found the teachers receptive to each child's needs, they are accessible to parents, and they provide invaluable feedback throughout the year. We are happy with this little gem of a school and look forward to another good academic year in the Fall.
