This gym haves Ben the same for several years it needs a big update I Ben coming here for 7 years or more, disappointed on the slow update to be honest but it’s a basic gym to get a work out. For the location I feel this is an over price for what they’re offering and the lady’s shower I’ve never felt they’re at a decent standers . I Ben having a membership for more than 15 years and I feel this one of the 2 golds that is slaking an upgrade asap for the price . Unfortunately if they upgrade they will charge more . I use to love this place bc it was motivating and had machines available all the time but they seam to be more out of service lately.

I was pleasantly surprised by this location. I’m think I’m gonna go back and try it one more time and explore the locker room a little bit. But the machines and the vibe and the cleanliness and the layout all seem to be good.

I have been going to this location for a year or so and really like it. Definitely the cleanest Gold's I have ever seen, which is really nice. You guys should add another freemotion cable machine imo... the demand for that machine is high and the wait time for one's turn is consistently outrageously long most days. While this next issue isn't Gold's fault I have noticed people at this gym have pretty terrible gym etiquette as far as sitting on their phones/ staring into space on the popular machines. I get a little rest between sets is a reality of lifting but what people do far exceeds what can be considered normal down time in between sets. Putting a sign up encouraging people to keep it moving if they aren't working out could be useful... All in all a solid gym would recommend.

I've been a member for quite some time. I don't use the gym that often as I prefer tennis as my go-to form of exercise. When the weather isn't good enough for tennis, I like to go to the gym to stay fit. This gym is conveniently located. The staff are really nice and it's very clean and well maintained. There's not much more I require in a gym and so Gold's is just great.

This is a great basic gym, but like a lot of gyms, falls short on a cpl important areas.Areas that would raise to 5 stars:1) cleanliness — it’s just not that clean overall, especially the bathrooms. The back white wall by the entrance is a dirty dusty mess. It needs to be painted black or cleaned. You can see layers of years of dust, it’s bad2) Movie Room — great concept, but the projector is so dim you can barely see it and speakers so low you can barely hear it. Neither should be something you strain for. Not sure if projector just needs to be adjusted, or a new projector all together. The speakers are so low you can barely hear it. Especially when all treadmills are running. Turn up brightness of movies + turn up sound a few notches and this is one of coolest ideas for a gym3) wish there was more dead lift spots, they’re always taken at most times of dayAreas that are great:1) the staff is really friendly here2) movie room (if the screen was brighter and sound louder)2) the stretch area and multiple cardio areas

The environment is great at Golds, the staff is welcoming and helpful when I have questions. I also love the variety of supplements and protein drinks they have available. The weight equipment is top notch and they house some of the top brands.

This place helped me get sober. The staff are chill af and great with questions and the crowd is a broad mix across the spectrum of ages and size. It feels good in there. What I can say the most is I look forward to this specific location every other day of the week. Feels like home.

I broke my ankle and had surgery a few weeks ago. I called to freeze my account and they didn't honor the request. Its a horrible money hungry gym that doesn't care about recovery health. I don't recommend this place.

Alright gym. Basic necessities. Most members understand basic etiquette so that’s nice.Room for improvement:Staff just sit at the front desk chit chatting or on their phones rather than replenishing paper towels or observing for safety hazards.A few weirdos and people who just downright smell awful. I’ve gagged and literally had to stop my set and walk away a couple times.Treadmills are starting to show wear and tear, so are the cable attachments.Crunch fitness across the street is opening soon and I’m sure a lot of members here have their eyes set on the “new and clean” facility. Gold’s better step it up. The best facility around this area is still Lifetime but if you have $200/mo to workout and socialize, kudos to you. I’d rather spend that on a BJJ membership.

Before Austin had perpetual 110 F days in summer 2023, Gold'd WM Cannon already had AC issues. The management and front desk staff are nice but they literally are not doing anything because of corp Gold's. Until they start losing a sizable number of customers from the new Crunch Gym, they probably do anything or just shut the gym down. Also, the hours are very limited and have not gotten back to hours like they had when 24 hours gym was across the street. They close at 11 on weekdays and 10 on weekends.

I was harassed twice by the same man within the last month. The first time was not as severe as the second time, but both times made me extremely uncomfortable. The first time, I was using the bench press and he approached me and asked when I would be finished, I had just got on the machine but the way he approached me made me feel uneasy so I told him I had 1 set left. This man would not step back from the machine, give me any space to finish my sets, and watched me very closely. I politely asked him to step back so I could finish my work out peacefully but he refused. I explained to him that I was not on his timing, and if he wanted to be on his own timing that he should get his own equipment. After taking time to finish my sets, he finally gave in and went to the same machine next to me. A few weeks later, which was last Thursday, August 31st. I noticed the same man watching me on the bench press, while the same exact bench press next to me was available, after watching me for a few minutes, he approached me aggressively and started to add his weight on the bench press I was using, told me my turn was over and that he didn't "give a damn" if I wasn't done. This time I did not react politely bc I felt threatened. I refused to move and yelled out to staff to get a manager. No manager was on duty at the time so a staff member handled the situation, I had to fill out an incident report and was told the manager would be contacting me the next day. I never heard from the manager so I showed up in hopes for a resolution. The GM was there when I arrived and told me he would be following up with me after the holiday weekend was over and after he spoke to the Gold's gym customer care service. I waited for a follow up on the situation and still didn't hear anything by Thursday the following week, so I decided to go in and ask for a follow up. The same manager was there today, and told me that he finally heard a response back from customer care and that this man was on his "final" strike. Mind you, I was approached by multiple women after my incident and after causing a scene since I felt threatened by this man and was told that they felt uncomfortable by the same man as well. I am a small female and this man who aggressively approached me multiple times is about 3 times my size and according to the staff member who initially handled the situation this man is a doctor. That kind of behavior coming from a man in that field is frightening. Now, I understand if the general manager, Joseph Murphy, is unable to cancel this man's membership, if suspending this man is a decision amongst his role in the company, but what I don't appreciate is the lack of communication on his end to let me know that this man will continue to be a member of Gold's gym after feeling completely unsafe and now unheard in this situation. As a general manager, you are the face of the company. A community gym as big as Gold's gym should be a place where ALL women feel safe to workout, I feel the complete opposite in this situation. I had no choice but to cancel my membership bc I am afraid this man will continue to harass me since he is given the platform to do so. No real displine took place for his actions, and now I am fearful to finish out my last month of my membership here, the lack is support I got from the general manager, Joseph Murphy, is inexcusable. Not one phone call or follow up to let me know this threatening man will continue to be a member would've avoided me coming forward about this, but since I feel unheard I will be working towards making sure that I won't be silenced on this situation.
