Skylar has provided top-notch service both times I’ve been in. He really knows his stuff when it comes to club selection, and for a novice golfer who’s just getting back into the sport, he is incredibly patient. Looking forward to working with him on my next upgrades.

Had a club head come off from a poor glue job from another store in the area, brought my club in last night and Chris fixed it, picked it up this morning. Y’all are fantastic and I appreciate it!

Title my review "never again", specifically directed toward Golf Galaxy's club repair department and "expert" technicians. In early July, I took an old Callaway Big Bertha Warbird 4+ wood in to be reshafted. I liked the head, but the shaft was to stiff for me at this point in life. On the advice of one of their techs on a previous visit, I bought the shaft myself and took it and the club in to have the work done. The person on duty when I dropped it off didn't express any concerns with the work to be performed, and gave me an approximate timeline of when it would be done.About a week later I went back to pick up the club. A plastic bag covered the entire club and I was in a hurry, so I didn't inspect it at the time. Next day I did, and found a few issues, three of which I wasn't overly concerned about: first, the shaft was installed with the graphics out of alignment (turned about 30 or 60 degrees off, depending on whether you want the lettering or the seam between the lettering on top of the shaft when the head is square), they used a standard size ferrule rather than the "o-ring" style as original, and despite our measuring the club to 42-1/2", the finished length was 43". The issue that I was very concerned with was that the person who did the install scored the shaft with a knife almost all the way around the shaft. Although this was probably more cosmetic than anything, it still weakens the shaft at the hosel/ferrule, probably the worst place possible.Took the club back a couple days later, and eventually spoke to a manager. In trying to assess how the damage occurred, he asked if the shaft was pulled from another club, to which I replied no, it was purchased new and I did inspect it before bringing it in. The shaft I chose is no longer available, so he offered a couple options they had in stock and said he would replace my shaft at no charge. This is actually the only reason this review gets a one star rating instead of zero, if zero is even possible. Instead of costing them a shaft, I suggested they just pull the shaft I purchased, cut it 1/2" shorter and reinstall properly. That would get the scored area inside the head and likely prevent any possibility of the shaft breaking. He agreed and said they would have it done ASAP.I went back a few days later to pick up the club, and here is what I found:- They had cut the shaft and reinstalled. Shaft was now at the correct length and the score marks were no longer present. CHECK.- Although still not the OEM ferrule, they did use a much smaller ferrule this time. CHECK, MORE OR LESS.- Shaft was still out of alignment, with graphics turned as before. STRIKE.- The grip was reinstalled, but it was installed in a weak position rather than square. STRIKE.- Whoever did the install this time somehow stripped the finish on the side of the clubhead. The only thing I can think is it was done either when he was turning down the ferrule or sanding the shaft flat on the bottom of the club (it's a bore through hosel), neither of which should have meant any contact with this part of the clubhead. STRIKE LOOKING.When I picked up the club this time I was frankly too frustrated to stay and try and talk to a manager. Also, it was later in the day on a Sunday, so not sure if a manager would have even been there.Anyway, I reached out to the store via email a week ago, but as yet have not heard back. I don't normally write overly negative reviews and share them on social media, but this experience was so bad I feel like I need to alert other golfers to temper their expectations when dealing with the club repair department at the Arboretum store in Austin. I know I'll never be back, at least not for any club repair work.

This is my go to spot for golf gear. They have all types of clothing for lady golfers. How we they recently removed the ladies clearance rack of clothes but the guys still have one. So that's not cool and it needs to be addressed.

Have you met Tom? Let me tell you about Tom…. I had just left another big name golf store that claims to be super… meh not so much. Tom spent a couple hours with me, with many different clubs and while changing the clubs he also gave me much needed lessons. He could have taken advantage and sold me a set that was very expensive.. which was what I thought I needed but the simulator told a different story. I’m so grateful that he provided an extremely high level of customer service and made me more excited about the game! Thank you so much Tom!

Great selection and club building was A grade. Sales guys were rude and pompous though.

Good assortment and staff is friendly and supportive. Trying random clubs spontaneously was not possible, which was quite nice. Maybe this was stressed too much by clients

I support the local folks that work there, they are knowledgeable and work hard. The corporate decisions, however, are terrible. They recently, with zero notice to customers, stopped taking off the cost of a club fitting from the cost of the clubs. Just bam, ended the program. I had already paid when they told me this and had a time booked, Just a fast cash grab that should lose them a ton of business since other spots like the PGA Superstore still have that policy. Also not at all impressed with the communications around club arrivals. Sure there are jams that occur, but promising 2 weeks and still not having the clubs after a month seems avoidable by simply stating a more accurate wait time from the start.

I had been looking to upgrade my irons and driver after owning my set for 10 years. I scheduled a full bag fitting and got paired with Michael at the Austin location. Michael was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and kept the whole process light with his humor. I came out with some custom Taylor Made Stealth irons and a Ping G430 driver. I highly recommend this location as not only Michael was a pleasure to work with, but everyone in the store as well. Thanks y'all!

Coach Jim was great! Helped me with complete set of clubs fitting. The cashier lady was a bitch. After spending USD 2600, I asked for duck tape to secure my box of clubs for air shipping. She gave me a small roll and not willing to give me a fresh roll even I asked. I guess she never traveled before. And guess what, customer has to do his own packing worthy of air travel. Bitch!!!!
