This is probably the best dog store I have ever been to anywhere in the country! The owner is really friendly, helpful, and cares about both his customers and their furry friends! We live in Oklahoma and come to this store every time we're in town! If you use his dog bath, he also pulls out all the stops with a fan or heater for the humans (depending temp outside), towels, a hair scrubber, and a pitcher for soapy water. Recommend ?!

Fantastic establishment! I brought my two Dalmatians in (one slightly reactive) and the owner could not have been kinder. His dog was so sweet, as well and did not reactive to my dog’s reactivity.It was after we’d taken the pups for a round of putt putt at Peter Pan and so, we thought ice cream would be a good treat for the doggie. We mistakenly thought, two different flavors would be best. When I went In to purchase the same flavor the other dog had, the owner told us to go ahead and just have it. If we lived in Austin, we most definitely would come to Great Outdogs all the time. They literally had everything we could possibly need.

My new favorite pet store in Austin. They have a wide range of products, from treats, toys, food, bedding, leashes and many more. My favorite part of the store is the "Treat Bar". It has a great variety of treats, soft/hard treats & made of different types of protein!

This is the BEST dog store!! I always look forward to stopping here when I'm in town! The owner is so nice and helpful, and Tegan is such a friendly shop pup/greeter (who also makes some good recommendations)! They have a great selection of high quality brands and everything you could need for your canine companion! I especially love their selection of dog treats and toys so I can always have a nice variety on hand for my pups! The selection and friendly customer service makes this place my favorite, and I highly recommend it!!

I give Great Outdogs my highest recommendation!! My dog and I have been shopping here since 2020 and I do believe it is the best pet store in Austin. Supporting local small businesses like this helps in so many ways. The variety of products far exceeds other pet stores. Prices are fair and never a wait at checkout. If you're a dog lover and you haven't been there yet, you're missing out.

SO.MUCH.DOG.STUFF.If you want it, they got it!!!I always stop here when passing through Austin to get my Service Dog anything be could ever want and need. The treat bar is so adorable and an easily stock up whenever we are running low!!!

Frequently closed during operating hours. When I did manage to make it inside the staff were rude and dismissive. I was clearly bothering them. Won't be back.

I would like to shop here given the store is convenient to my home, but the amount of times I have shown up during his normal business hours, only to find him closed for some reason, is unreal. Two days in a row the last 2 days and countless other times over the last few years. I am done giving him my business as I cannot rely on him to be open. When open, the store itself is great. Good luck man.

Matt the owner is awesome.. he bends over backwards to help people.. his stores has everything you could ever imagine.. Teggun his boxer meets everyone at the door and is super friendly!
