Needed test strips after the pharmacy closed but they keep them in area that isn't accessible after the pharmacy is closed. Makes absolutely no sense whatsoever...

My neighborhood H-E-B is, well, let's say it's a work in progress. Don't get me wrong -- I love H-E-B stores in general as they're a true community asset -- fair prices, (mainly) helpful and polite staff, and a good selection of local and national (and a few international) goods. However, this particular store has been under renovation for what seems like forever (6+ months and counting). Goods have been moved around so much that even regular shoppers get confused as to where to find something, perhaps half of the refrigeration units aren't operational, and the deli and meat departments are currently under construction. What's more, the store is severely understaffed and frequently only one or two cashier stations (out of 15 or 16) are open at even busy times, leading to long lines. The self-service registers are also very bug-prone and often infuriating to use. Regular customers in the neighborhood are used to coming here and not knowing what they're going to find on any given day.

I don't know how many months they have been working on their refrigeration units, meat and fish areas but I do know this: whoever is in charge should be fired. It has taken at 2-3 times longer than it should have and it's still not done. There were times when there was no meat to be bought because that section was closed down. Better now but still gross incompetence on the part of the manager and contractor. Hopefully corporate will step in and start replacing those in charge.

Their curbside customer service is excellent. If I order groceries from a different big box store, I am treated like a number, but with this HEB, I am treated like a person. I accidentally placed an order for tomorrow instead of today. And a kind employee was willing to shop it for me today because it came up on her screen (typically they can only access the present days orders, but she could see mine). She bent over backwards to help me out. And I really did need my groceries today. Thank you H‑E‑B curbside team!!

Great produce selection. Employees are usually kind and helpful. Store feels generally safe and clean. A recent incident in the parking lot does make me cautious about shopping after dark.One night after I had parked my car and was about to get out, a person appeared at my drivers side car window and seemed very urgent to talk to me. They had two other people with them. They very much startled me, appearing right next to my car. I asked them what they wanted. They repeatedly mumbled something and I got the gist that they were begging for money. I saw them approach at least 3 other people in the parking lot asking them for money.

I ordered curbside from the Anderson mill location. was told one item was missing when I went there much more was out of stock so I made an order for here. It was our whole dinner that we needed early so I had it scheduled for pick up at 1pm. I got a text saying "good news all items in stock". So I go there at the time I scheduled to find out since then they sold out because they did not even put my order together at all. Every few weeks no matter the location there is constantly something wrong. Food with bugs, meat that's gone bad, expired meat, moldy produce rude "customer service" and the list goes on. HEB keeps making bs little moves to look good but if you pay attention they are a joke. I'm going back to Aldi's and Walmart.

Very sad I have to negatively review an H‑E‑B (never thought the day would come) but the way I was treated today by the managers at this location was uncalled for. I was here to do three different orders for Instacart and let the cashier know before I even checked out that I would have to manually enter my Instacart card because the stipe wasn't working (I already ordered a new card, but it hasn't arrived yet). I have been working everyday this last week doing the same exact thing at every other H‑E‑B and have not had a single problem. But today I had one manager straight up lie to me and tell me they "aren't able to do that" I said yes, I've done this before many times (this week). They rolled their eyes and kind of shrugged me off until I insisted I had to do it this way because it was for Instacart and I didn't have any other way to pay for it (they don't have Apple Pay). Finally he went and grabbed another manager who immediately came in with a snarky attitude as well and told me they "couldn't do it". I asked what she wanted me to do? I've done it before, the new card is on the way, I can't afford not to work for a few days just because the card isn't working correctly, and I was just trying to do my job. After arguing for a few minutes with both managers they both rolled their eyes and ended up doing it. I even was telling them how to it because I thought maybe that was the problem - but no, they just took it upon themselves to be rude and argue with me instead of helping me. Thanks a lot. Won't be shopping at this location ever again - working or not.

Terrible customer service. Been coming here for seven years with no issues. Within the last two month CS has gone to pot. First I was ignored by several employees at the deli counter. I was the only one waiting, staring at staff that refused to make eye contact with me. Today the butcher copped an attitude and got passive aggressive with me when I informed him that the price I was charged was a dollar more per pound than what was advertised. Like I did something wrong? Think I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Don't think they care though.
