Absolute worst pharmacy I’ve ever dealt with. I often have to call multiple times, only to be told my prescription isn’t ready—then it suddenly is, then it’s not again. More than once, I’ve had to track down my doctor, even on weekends, because the pharmacy insists they don’t have the refill. When I call my doctor, he gets frustrated with me for reaching out so often, but the truth is I’m just stuck in the middle. What makes it worse is that I’ll be told the refill isn’t there, when I was literally just on the phone with my doctor who confirmed he already sent it. And like clockwork, the moment I push back and say that, they magically “find” my medication.
As someone with epilepsy, this back-and-forth isn’t just frustrating—it’s dangerous. Their incompetence and lack of communication cause me unnecessary stress and put my health at serious risk.

We're from Brownsville, TX ; we felt a bit lost, and yet visiting this HEB Pharmacy was a blessing. My husband was able to get his medication with the best help possible. Thank y'all so much.

Whoever the pharmacist was the morning of 8/15/25 was a cold, rude, and arrogant individual.

The female pharmacist or technician I spoke to on the phone today was quite a treat. I’ve worked in healthcare so I know the stresses of it, however, she was completely unprofessional. She started off talking to me rudely so I assume something happened to make her angry before our conversation. She didn’t know how to see the medicine my son was taking by looking up his name and birthdate? Was she really that inept? It’s an anti-itching cream. I needed to know the exact pronunciation and name of the medicine? Really? He has ONE cream he uses. I wish I had gotten her name because the way I was treated was inexcusable. I wasn’t even mean until I had enough of her attitude and hung up on her. I hope she gets treated the way she treated me when she needs help. If the call was recorded, I urged the manager or HEB owners to listen to it. I usually have okay experiences with this pharmacy but this was over-the-top bad.

Unsure about that 2.5 stars. Didn’t read the complaints. My guess is humans never working in health care/not understanding the corrupt business of the insurance/big pharma industry. All that aside. I love getting my meds here. Everyone so kind and patient. Low key think all the stars less than 5 just come from a bunch of haters. Thank you for all you do.

The tech at the car service window is incompetent. She told me that my prescription was sent to another location and when I went to the other location they told me it was at the original store location. How they mess up this order I have no idea, but I drove an extra 20 miles round trip because the tech didn’t know her job.

This has been our pharmacy for many years and while I have my irritations with the pharmacy d/t long wait times and medications not being ready on time, it has never stopped me from using the pharmacy. Today my provider called me in a prescription for Ivermectin to treat a viral infection, which it is indicated and helps much better than any other treatment with far less side effects. The pharmacist, Jennifer, refused to fill the medication because she did not like the dx being used. I get that people have their opinions about Ivermectin and may not agree, but the pharmacist does not have the right to refuse to fill a medication because of her political beliefs. This is a shame and HEB needs to address this. Medications are used off label on a regular basis. I will be taking my business else where.

The pharmacy staff is very rude and unempathetic to the customers who are in need of their medication. I have been on hold for 25minutes so far. I have to always call to make sure they are filled and then deal with this every month.

I would like to support HEB and not use CVS or Walgreens. However, my most recent experience is my last straw. I'm giving 2 stars because I have had (mostly) good experiences with the staff.
The scenario happens every time: My doctor sends over a prescription; I will wait 24 hours and check the status on their website; no update. I have to call them to ask for the medication. It's absurd that I have to call them to get my prescription filled.
If they have ANY issue with a refill, they just won't fill it and will delete the order. No call. No text. No website status update. It just disappears into the unknown, like it never existed. The only way to find out what is going on is to call them.
I don't know if this is a staffing issue or the employees just can't be bothered, but apparently I need to go back to using CVS if I would like to have my medication in a timely manner.

I would die for Festy (I think, sorry if I spelled it wrong). I told him I was concerned about the cost of my new med, he noticed it was run with a discount card instead of insurance, ran the insurance, and brought the cost from $93 to $10.
Jennifer was the pharmacist when I picked up and she explained everything so well and answered questions I had about a medication I had picked up in the past.
Everyone here is always super nice. I know first hand how much it can suck to work in medicine/pharmaceuticals because it is expensive and people get hot but they’ve never been anything but kind.
I ran back to the counter after I left to get Jennifer’s name and she just called to apologize for being on the phone when I came back and asked if I had any more questions like ??? That’s so incredible of them.

I have ALWAYS called over the phone to refill my prescription. It’s super quick and easy for me, and I’ve never been directed to do otherwise or have been told about the pharmacy app.
The lady that I spoke to today was very rude and unwilling to refill the prescription over the phone. The first and only thing she said to me was to do it on the app, and sounded very annoyed with the fact that I called. Had I not made a point that she’d rather me hang up, download the app, do all the login/set up instead of helping me right then and there( which took less than a minute to fill the prescriptions), I don’t believe she would’ve helped me over the phone. It was super uncalled for.
