Slow. Inefficient. Zero customer service. Take your business elsewhere

“Unable to find prescription” and telling customers to call and bother their physician because the pharmacy hasn’t even looked up new e-prescriptions is ridiculous. Also stating it could be “hours or longer” before a prescription shows up in their system is unacceptable.

The staff are great. Just called them for a prescription refill and it was no hassle.

All HEB Pharmacy have horrible customer service in general (with some exceptions when it comes to wonderful specific employees). But this store is extra bad. I had a prescription sent to the store alost 2 weeks ago and while my main insurance wouldn't pay for the rx, rather than having it ready for me and letting me just pay (or use GoodRX instead), they cancel my request and don't even call me. I had this one prescription sent in 6 times already!I'll probably have to physically go to the store and complain to the pharmacy manager and request they fill it while I wait (despite having done that a week ago when the manager wasn't there). I'm almost out of my blood pressure medicine and there horrible lack of communication could cause a gap in taking this important medicine!!They are awful!!!

If you want long lines and rude, inept customer service then this is the pharmacy for you. If your job and family don't make you feel like an idiot then the pharmacy clerks will; you'll make lifelong friends with the other customers because you're in line so long - misery loves company; you may even get to come back to the store several times while they tell you prescription is ready - no it's not- come back later- it's ready now- oh no it's not - it's customer's fault - I use CVS pharmacy (so I know how a good pharmacy runs) but pick up prescriptions for my husband who uses HEB pharmacy. If he doesn't change his pharmacy I'm going to divorce him.

I used to really like this pharmacy, but it’s gone downhill. The people here are nice and helpful when they can be, but it seems like the lines are longer and longer and the people working the registers are slower and less knowledgeable. Maybe HEB needs to pay more to keep good people in the pharmacy. I’ll be going back to CVS.

I’m sitting here waiting for my order to be completed. These people are SAINTS. The things they are dealing with right now - impatient customers, incorrect insurance companies, huge lines… and all with so much grace. And Jasmine still noticed I was upset and took a moment to ask how I was doing and remind me to take a deep breath. I appreciated it so much.

Their refill ordering by phone doesn't work. Of course, one only figures it out after waiting in line for twenty minutes in vain.

I’d get more accurate prescription help from the local hobo outside.I’ve been getting prescriptions for 10 years? From basic to controlled substances. Never had an issue until I recently tried out HEB.I’ve withdrawn from all my prescriptions multiple times waiting for mine to be filled.Whether it’s them not getting them filled on time, getting them filled but the cashier miscommunicates my approval to pick them up and I get rejected, then told to come back because the cashier was wrong. One prescription was transferred from my other pharmacy and then was filled at the incorrect dosage.Making me look like the bad guy because my doctor doesn’t respond to pharmacy requests, I have to call my doctor for refills to avoid inaccurate stuff like this?I can handle it over my groceries but something that I heavily rely on for daily function is not okay. Totally disappointed at the service, the help, the attitude of staff, and the fact that I’m still without meds. Anyone who has to withdrawal from anti-depressants knows that MESSES YOU UP. And to have it handled like you’re an inconvenience is flabbergasting.Be better.

We all have off days but when someone's "mood" interferes with your access to medicine and your health, it's time to move on. I write this poor review with regret because there are several great people at the Far West pharmacy. I've had my shots and vaccines there.I have used the Far West location for its convenience for many years but there's a particular employee that's such an unhappy person that she's caused me to switch to another HEB pharmacy today. She's just overall not nice but my issues have been her misrepresenting when prescriptions actually came in (past a certain time and they're bumped to the next day and today, denying the doctor's version); telling me my credit card had been denied many, many occasions over several years (their glitch) and generally being unpleasant. (At one time she asked if my card was going to go through since it seemed to be an issue with us.) A couple of years ago, I'd had enough and called the manager and said we were planning on moving to another HEB pharmacy. During the conversation it was mentioned that the credit card denial is a particular glitch in their system when you call to prepay (they have rectified it since it's never been an issue since but it seems like she would have known this). At that time I was mollified and stayed but when you're very sick you need people on your side, not people that are looking for an axe to grind. Today is my last prescription through that HEB. And it may be that a pharmacy is not any of the HEB's strong suit but in any event, we'll continue to shop for our groceries at a different HEB store. BTW, their Specialty Pharmacy in San Antonio is wonderful.

I don't understand how inefficient this place is. Orders seem to be not completed as the norm and when you come in and ask for them their statement of thirty minutes is off. They are trying to help but I just don't understand how printing a label and putting medicine they have in stock is so slow. With over five visible people on staff they seem to still not be able to complete a simple order in thirty minutes.

I genuinely don’t have an hour to spend waiting for the checkout person every time I pick up. Considering moving my prescriptions. This cashier doesn’t even appear trained and he’s left alone.
