H-E-B pharmacies are always better than CVS or Walgreens in terms of customer service. Won’t go anywhere else for my medication. Pharmacy workers are always very kind and eager to help and it’s nice to easily reach the pharmacy without having to speak to a automated phone system

I love the pharmacy here they have always been wonderful and efficient, they even remember my name I walk up and they already my medicine pulled cause they know my name, no pharmacy has ever done this. Also my wife had a new prescription and the pharmacy questioned it politely with other stuff she takes having a reaction with concern and told me to have her call in after I picked up prescription before she takes it and they were right with being concerned it did not do well at with my wife at all but because they warned her she knew what it was and to stop taking before it got worse. I love!! the staff here I can’t say enough good things about them!!!

They do a great job at this pharmacy. I know they’ve been understaffed and these folks work really hard and they’re always super friendly and helpful.

A young female pharmacist at this location (7901 W. Hwy 290, Oak Hill) was very annoyed that I needed consult. Just having been discharged at a hospital, picked up Rx at the pharmacy closing hours, so came back the next day for the consult. Not only was she aggravated with me for explaining I had come back the next day and never had this combo of meds before, I had to come back due to a med complication and needed more consult. I was advised the exact opposite what I needed which almost turned into another emergency EMS call out to me. I do not recommend this pharmacy because of this if you ever need consult with new meds, do not go here. I ended up driving into Central Austin to an independent pharmacy who was more than happy to answer all my questions with an eager to help attitude. I'm never returning to this pharmacy ever, I do not recommend unless you are fortunate to get a different pharmacist other than this young woman. I never go out of my way to write reviews unless extremely good or extremely bad experience. There are many HEB pharmacies, avoid this one unless you never need any consult.

We have tried since they opened this location, but will be switching back to another pharmacy. They are consistently so rude, and it always takes 3-4x longer to pick up our rx here than anywhere else.

I wanted to move my prescription to this pharmacy because it is so much closer BUT the pharmacist and staff are EXTREMELY rude and seem to be bothered by helping people. As a surgical assistant, this is highly unprofessional patient care.

i hate leaving bad reviews but this pharmacy staff without fail always is extremely rude to me. i’ve been a pharmacy technician so it’s extremely frustrating when i know exactly what they have to do and for some reason have the worst attitude about it. i asked why my prescription that is normally free cost $15 and the lady just told me she didn’t know and walked away so after calling for her back i asked if maybe my new insurance wasn’t updated to which she said maybe. only to find out once i got my scripts i was actually picking two prescriptions and the one was still free. should’ve been a cut and dry explanation but she made it very confusing and not pleasant by any means. again, hate to leave a poor review but that is what this staff unfortunately deserves.

I would recommend switching or assuming you’ll wait three to four hours. You can’t rely on picking your script same day. They actually laugh if you ask them if it will be ready for pick up today way in advance of closing time.

While I have had relatively pleasant experiences with the Pharmacy, I recently had a VERY difficult time with a savings coupon for a prescription I had on file. After weeks of back and forth I switched to a local pharmacy who was able to get to the bottom of why my prescription that had been under $30 was coming up as $500! HEB CHOSE to use a new savings card that did not cover my prescription instead of using my original savings card on file, all without informing me. When I asked about this, the lady I spoke with at HEB was incredibly rude over the phone, to the point of arguing with me.
The pharmacists/techs are NOT always right! Due your due diligence and fight for what you know is right!!

I was put on hold for 20 minutes before I could speak with someone. HEB rep said the prescription would be ready when we arrived after surgery and it wasn’t. Staff does not communicate with customers well. Additionally, the drive thru is poorly designed (directionally contrary to every other drive thru in the USA).

They give me way better discounts on my prescriptions than goodrx and the line is never long. Fantastic service.

I'm not sure if they are just under staffed, but whatever the reason they are incredibly slow. I'll be the only person in line and still end up sitting there for 15 minutes, when it should take 5. And this happens every time I have to pick up a script. Which has been twice a month for the past 6+ months. It is highly annoying.

Pharmacy staff does a great job of straightening out med refills when the auto system can't deal with it. The move from the old location (at the Y, store #225) to the new location on 290 (store #765) meant that the prescription numbers didn't automatically move in all cases. And I had just changed my primary care physician, so had to make sure they were calling the right doctor for new orders! They really do a great job.
