1st time here since it became multi levels. Very different from my 'normal' HEB. I tried the bbq, and it was delicious.
Parking could be tricky, but there's definitely plenty of it. Just keep going down. Ha!

I really enjoy this store. It would be awesome if they put an outlet near all the tables on the first floor by coffee shop. They have a lot of seating area, but no access to charge anything, so I have to leave each time something is about to die. And I understand upstairs does, but it would be nice to have access to something there as they have all those tables

The store itself seems to be about the same as any H-E-B plus, except it is on the second floor and it does have many restaurants in it and it's pretty cool that the escalator will bring your shopping cart up and down with you

This place is one of the best HEB locations in Austin, with ample parking in lower floors. Helpful employees. Well stocked. I enjoyed my shopping here.

I reserved a rack of New York strip that was being dry aged, planned a meal around it for friends who are in town for today, and went to pick it up this morning.
They wouldn't let me keep the pellicle, which okay, fine, but then when they were asking how I wanted them cut up, I asked what thickness they normally would do, and they said 1.5", to which I responded, "No, I want them thicker than that, at least 1 and 3/4 in."
Somehow, this translated to 1 and 1/4 in, and I was delivered six super thin dry aged steaks. I think it's cool and all that they have the capacity to deliver dry aged beef, and the Price is Right, but how poor of a butcher do you have to be to not recognize that someone buying dry aged beef does not want it cut thin? Completely ruined the meal, I have no idea how I'm going to cook them this thin. I will have to sacrifice sear or doneness. I couldn't not pay for it at this point, so I'm stuck buying them with no alternative. If I do ever get their dry aged beef again, I am going to watch that butcher like a hawk to make sure that he doesn't screw up the final product.
