This isn't the closest HEB to where I live, but I love getting plants here. They have the best selection and sales of any of the HEB stores I've looked at in this area.

My father’s 90th celebration was Friday, July 6th. I ordered a cake from the bakery at HEB 620/Anderson Mill. I arrived to pick up the cake at 4:30 p.m. for our 6:30 p.m. celebration and I was told the cake that I ordered was not there. No cake for my father’s 90th birthday celebration happening in less than 2 hours! As you can imagine, I was frantic on the inside because I had no cake to serve for my father or his guests. The managers at the time took accountability and went into full “customer-service” mode: balloons, alternative cakes, and other supplies. While I appreciate the effort, there are certain moments such as the celebration of someone's 90th birthday that cannot be recaptured. To the people at the HEB bakery, please check and recheck the dates. While it is a simple check in a box on your job responsibility list, it could have a huge impact on your customer's plans. I was able to pull off the celebration without the cake I ordered but will not rely on HEB bakery to create items for any other special moments.

The store is big and the fresh produce section is great. The staff are courteous and the self checkout also ensures no big lines. Plenty of parking too.

HEB stores are have a lot going for them, but they are cheapskates at heart. After today, I will always check the receipt before leaving the checkout area. I came with my three young children. I grabbed a few items specifically because they had coupon discounts. At checkout, I placed the coupons with the items on the belt. Mind you, the process of unloading and reloading (Austin, so you have to provide your own bags, you know) and keeping up with 6 little hands can be challenging, so I didn't even think when the checker handed me the coupons from the belt. Upon arriving home, I realized I hadn't received the discount. Was I supposed to hand them back to have them applied? Does the checker get some bonus for preventing people from using coupons? Maybe there's some fine print here, but it comes across extremely petty.

Clean and friendly but… WHY did you let them black top the parking lot?! It’s BRUTAL during the summer and I no longer want to go here unless it’s crazy early.

The fish market girl constantly over serves when your 3ft from telling her how much. She doesn’t even correct her over grabbing. She’s rude af. It’s the Heb .5 mile from my house. Hopefully someone sees this and shows her. I’m just tired of slow ppl, maybe it’s just today but she regularly is not pleasant to work with.
