Tools and accessories, mostly from China, priced very low compared to big box stores. Much of it is really bad/unreliable, but other items are actually quite good. It's hit or miss. Check the reviews on their website for the products. To their credit, they don't censor the bad reviews for the bad products, so you can get a good feel for what's good and what's not from the website. For power tools or anything expensive, buy the extended warranty, it's worth it. Price of the tool PLUS extended warranty is often cheaper than a brand-name tool alone at a big box store. Get the Harbor Freight credit card and get 10% off your first purchase (which I used for a $600 jackhammer), and 5% savings in the form of rewards points on all future purchases. Prices are already low, but at least a couple times a year they have big sales, with many prices super-discounted. Get on their mailing list to get notified of the sales. Stopped by to snag a few things and went to use the restroom. Apparently only 1 of their 2 restrooms is for customers even though there isn't a sign making anyone aware of that. As a customer was trying the "employees" restroom door some employee walked by and said "That's not for you" in the rudest manner. I hoped that was the end of the unfavorable experience but then when I went to check out there was another just unhappy employee working the register. He spoke to customers in the rudest way I've ever heard like he speaks that way CONSTANTLY to everyone. He was rushing people through the line, not even giving other customers enough time to gather their things before the next person was called up. A customer was trying to get a large box out and he aggressively told the customer he couldn't use what he was using to transport the box, and didnt offer any other assistance. He just repeated to the customer he wasn't allowed to use that. He generally seemed just unpleasant to everyone. From San Antonio to Austin, this is now my LEAST FAVORITE location. I'm glad I don't live in this area so I won't have to come back to this location.

They have good tools, but it’s apparent their clerks are tired and grumpy from Christmas.I was told that the tools I was buying had a lifetime warranty, which was only valid if I gave them my phone number right then and there, and that I did not have the option to register the product on my own. Not only is that illegal, I have the right to opt out of providing my personal information, and have the right to ask the business not to store my personal information. Neither option was given to me, and the clerk was quite rude, stating their system is so old that it doesn’t have to comply with current laws on data collection. That's even more reason not to give any to them!

I went to return to Sanders I had bought to this store. Bryan, At the cash register refuse that help me return them! I do a lot of business with Harbor freight as a business owner of a construction company. I had never had this issue with any other person or harbor freight store. Usually the services Is exemplary! Bryan wasted my time. And provided for service!!!I went to the south Austin shop afterwards and was able to return it. This experience is very frustrating for me. As it wasted full hour of my day The gas spent to go to the store.

I was looking for CR2025 button batteries and checked out their battery section to find out that it's not there. I asked a white lady with red hair if they had button batteries elsewhere and she directed me to the same aisle with no button batteries. I told her again if there was a different place where they hold button batteries because she didn't answer my question and she cuts me off to direct me to the same aisle. I firmly told her that it's not there and she says "what's there is there" after cutting me off AGAIN. Maybe listen to the customer before jumping to conclusions and take another training course in customer service??

Came looking for boat supplies. The tall goofy kid Gary explained to me it was just a name, who knew?! He was knowledgeable and gave me a high five and a free flashlight. Will shop there again.
