This is our family’s first choice to stay anywhere in Austin always! The rooms are cozy and quiet. Great ambiance and amenities. The staff are wonderful. It feels like home. Walking distance to so many great restaurants and coffee shops. Love the Heywood!

Absolutely perfect stay at the Heywood. The location is just close enough to the hustle and bustle of East 6th, while still being far enough to get some peace and quiet. The rooms are immaculate and the staff are top notch, without breaking the bank. Other hotels take note, these folks are doing it right!

Perfect stay at the Heywood. It was exactly what I hoped for: a chilled out, relaxing East Austin stay with all the exceptional little details you’d expect from a very fashionable , knowledgeable, and caring owner and staff. Highly recommended!

This was truly the best hotel stay I’ve ever had! The rooms were beautiful, with thoughtful personalized notes and such a welcoming vibe throughout the hotel. Our flight home was delayed, and Ashley kindly waited two hours after her shift ended just so we could get our keys. She did it all with a wonderful attitude and a smile. Thank you so much, Ashley!

Stellar place to stay, and Ashley at the front desk gracefully accommodated my late arrival. Beautifully appointed rooms, cool outdoor common areas, chic design elements. A short walk to downtown. I can't recommend this place highly enough. I'll be back.

We always try to stay at Heywood when visiting Austin. The hotel is in a fantastic location close to many great restaurants in East Austin. There is easy parking on site with keycard access for safety. While the hotel is located on a busy street, the upstairs patio feels like a mini-oasis in the city and is so relaxing. The staff put a special touch on this place and always give fantastic recommendations.

We weren't sure how a hotel could live up to the incredibly great google reviews that Heywood has, but they definitely did. Upon arrival in this normal neighborhood, the front looks like it might be somebody's tidy home that probably has a spare bedroom or two, maybe B&B style. But once we entered the front door, we knew this was an immaculate, state of the art hotel. We felt so welcomed at check-in and more than once somebody offered to carry our luggage to the upstairs room we chose. BTW, the person who designed the layout of the Heywood must have been brilliant. Excellent use of the property. Our upstairs room (#7) was beautiful, had a balcony for two, live plants (even one hanging in the shower enjoying the skylight :), a terrific covered terrace just outside the door, and even had a special personalized note wishing my wife a Happy Birthday. Parking was nicely covered with easy in/out, but there were also at least three restaurants within very easy walking distance for this older couple. We're retired and nowadays travel half of the year. We've stayed at many hotels larger than The Heywood, but never once have we been treated nicer than we were here. It's a great place. (So now I'm one of those customers leaving a review that seems too good to be true! :) Highly recommend The Heywood Hotel !

We truly enjoyed our stay at Heywood Hotel. The communication from the staff was phenomenal! We asked for a few extras in our room and they made it happen. This is a great place to celebrate a special occasion or just get away for a bit and pamper yourself. It was a very nice evening and the staff went out of their way to make our Savor Austin add-on memorable.
The only downside was the hotel was located not very far from a homeless camp with the accompanying trash and debris. I'm not sure that I'd be comfortable walking in the area at night.

The Heywood Hotel is a gem -- the property is beautiful and peaceful, the staff are so fun to chat with, and the personal touches left us with an experience that we will remember for a long time.

This hotel has quickly become one of our favorite spots in Austin! My wife and I love it here. The staff is incredibly friendly and so accommodating—it feels like visiting old friends every time we check in.
Being in the heart of East Austin is such a treat; it truly has that cozy “home away from home” vibe. The rooms are modern and sleek, and the atmosphere is just right for a relaxing stay.
We’re definitely looking forward to booking again for our next little escape!

My wife and I had a wonderful two night stay and the Heywood was a highlight of our time in Austin. Great location, super nice team, and an awesome room. We will definitely try to come back here next time we are in Austin.
