An invaluable fiber arts resource! Most of my interactions with the staff has been... mid-tier, and I find elitism or bad attitudes pretty rampant in the fiber arts sphere. Aside from the condescending attitude that I sometimes get with simple questions/services that I had no problem with with my fiber arts store back home, I do think it's a great place to get what you need with a good selection of tools and fibers. If I ever have questions or am looking to attend any events or classes, I will be looking elsewhere, though.

Wonderful nonprofit organization whose staff and volunteers more than run the place. It’s truly a work of heart, keeping the founder’s memory alive while providing classes, books, tools, and excellent supplies on hand for all types of weaving: yarn, wool, and much more! Lovely garden in front and behind the store as well! A joy to visit! It’s a pilgrimage for those who partake and practice the arts!

I was able to stop in for a quick visit while I was in town. This shop is adorable, has an excellent selection of various yarns. The ladies were so helpful with finding the yarns I was looking for on my list. Definitely will be coming back next time I’m in the area so I can further explore everything.

I made a special pilgrimage to this store! They had a lovely, expansive selection - all kinds of goodies to admire. The staff were also welcoming and friendly. If I lived locally, I would love to hang out and knit in the backyard.

Extremely friendly staff! I came in with a lot of questions and they patiently fielded all of them, showing me around the store and explaining pros and cons of different options. I'm very new to crochet and they helped me understand what's important and how to prepare my project. This business has been around for over 40 years and now I know why!

Joined the Saturday morning knitting group in January, 2008 and knitted there for many years. Couldn’t imagine a new store on Manchaca, but it is a wonderful place. Inventory amazing. Helpful, knowledgeable staff. So sad Suzanne is gone.

i've lived so close and it's been on my radar for a couple years but i finally visited today. and good god, what a beautiful store. they have a crazy amount of different yarns -- many rooms full -- and while i was there, i encountered two different classes. i happened to be looking for loose wool for felting and, though they are called Weavers, i took a chance, found exactly what i wanted. i couldn't recommend this place more.

Absolutely fabulous yarn store. Incredible selection, where you can actually find what you need: indie dyers, nicer mainstream brands, many fiber types, superwash and non-superwash, great book and accessory selection and a very kind atmosphere.
