Worked at the store for a bit, they have an impressive selection, and the staff is exceptional.

I bought carpet and installation from this Home Depot. They contracted out the install to FPN Services who completely ruined my base board during install - in one room the entire bottom quarter of the paint was completely ripped of and the wood was gauged. Worse, they sent an inspector out who concluded that the damage was already there (of course). All the base boards in the entire house were painted a week prior to carpet installation, including in other rooms where carpet was later installed, yet his claim is that they "missed this particular spot and the gauging was already there." The lack of integrity from FPN Services, and therefore Home Depot Services, was infuriating and now I'll have to pay out of my pocket to fix their lack of quality. Unless Home Depot owns up to their contractors mistakes, I'll be going elsewhere for my next project.

This Home Depot sucks, everytime I go shopping here and one needs assistance one has to physically hunt for a sale personnel or customers service representative, not very friendly, so other word if u know what u need, shop there, if u don't know, assisting is bad, and they seem as they have no concern in helping the customers.

Trash! The manager lady is rude and unhelpful. All staff are completely unknowledgeable. They lose your orders that you've paid for. A complete mess.

This Home Depot is packed, particularly during quarantine. It's for good reason, though - this is as good a time as any to do all the home improvement projects you've been putting off. They've been doing a fair job maintaining social distancing and laying out their store to minimize contact. On the weekend there can be a line to get inside but it moves quickly. This Home Depot has all the things you'd expect from a hardware store, and friendly, helpful staff to match. Jesse in particular helped us choose and get a great deal on a new Weber grill which we're so excited to use. Thankful to have one of these in the neighborhood!

Most of the annoyances aren't earth-shattering but there are so many of them. Here are just a few.(1) Every HD's layout is different. With such massive stores they could make the layouts similar for convenience, but they don't. I know my local HD very well, but if I ever have to go to another outlet, it takes forever to find anything because everything's in a different place.(2) List of online orders doesn't bother to tell you which are ready for pickup. You have to painstakingly click through on each one to see if it's ready.(3) One of my orders is listed is ready, but I didn't get a text about that order until several hours later.(4) Got the text, "Your Home Depot Order...is ready and available for free curbside pickup...Note: We are temporarily closing daily at 6pm." Great, so I go at 5:15, and the guy in the parking lot told me that curbside pickup ended at 5:00. Text message suggested that I could go until 6pm. The online ordering page also gives no clue about reduced curbside hours, again saying only that the store is open until 6pm, suggesting I can pick up any time before then, which is not true.(5) Online search is extremely weak. (a) Relevant products are often missing from the search results. e.g., search for "underlayment", and you *don't* get a product they have called "Hardwood Plywood Underlayment Specialty Panel". (b) Every time you click a filter, the entire page annoyingly reloads (unlike eBay, where you can click several filters and apply them all at once). (c) And sometimes when clicking a filter, after the page reloads, the other filter options just disappear so you can't choose more. (d) Many products have inadequate or incorrect descriptions (especially dimensions), and often don't show the product labels or instructions (so one could see what's involved in a project in order to plan and to buy other needed materials).(6) Their CFL bulbs recycling container sported a sign saying, "NOTE: We do not accept fluorescent bulbs," despite that being the whole point of the container. What they *meant* was that they don't accept fluorescent *tubes*. I repeatedly pointed that out to staff but they never did anything about it. So I brought some tape, taped over "bulbs" and wrote in "tubes". Some staff then removed the correction. This happened several times.(7) They sell a pretty toxic/nasty herbicide (Roundup) and don't warn customers that it's likely carcinogenic. They're currently being sued over this.(8) They're slow to act. They announced they'd stop using pesticides on their garden plants that are harmful to bees, but took nearly three years to do so.(9) Their customer service is sometimes lacking. A 91-year-old man had to get arrested by protesting at the store to get HD to give him a refund/replacement for a bad product he bought. Because of sloppy tech, in 2014 hackers stole 56 million HD customers' credit and debit card numbers, and email addresses.(11) They get sued a lot. In CA they're accused of forcing employees to do unpaid work. They use facial recognition cameras which are alleged to violate IL law. They're accused of unfairly overcharging for home install work.On the plus side, I can go online and see a receipt for any IN-STORE purchase I made over the last two years. That's been very helpful for my bookkeeping.

Called the store multiple times for the last week, they never answer any calls. Phone just rings forever after it gets put off hold. Just needed a simple change on my online order but can never get in touch with anyone at the store.

protect your employees and customers from covid-19! you are making zero effort on purpose. you took signs down from the health dept to make customers aware of social distancing. inquiries on sanitation are met with shrugs. don't support this company.

I was in two South Austin Home Depot stores today and learned that Home Depot is doing nothing to protect their customers or employees from the spread of COVID19 virus. Nobody's wiping down surfaces with disinfectant and there is NO as in ZERO hand protection for their employees or customers. I was a loyal customer until now which is literally a matter of life and death!.
