Autumn cut my hair yesterday and she did an excellent job. She's very gentle with handling hair, and precise with the scissors. I'll be back to book with her in 10-12 weeks' time. Highly recommend!

I had virgin hair before getting my perm in this salon. I had heard a lot of mixed opinions about perms, including how they can damage and shrink your hair. Gabriel did my perm, and he explained things very well and took my concerns into consideration. I have a lot of hair with thick texture, but regardless, he made sure to part my hair neatly and that every section was nicely put into each rod. He also did an incredible job styling my hair afterwards.

I booked an appointment with Jessica as a new client. The day of my appointment she texted me & asked if we could move my appointment time to later. I told her that was fine but I had to leave by a certain time to pick up my son. I get to the appointment and she puts color in my hair and then takes another client. After the timer goes off she has someone else wash my hair and he puts in a conditioning mask and says Jessica will get me in 2-3 minutes. I was still at the sink 20 minutes later. When Jessica got me after she finished the other client, it was so late that I didn’t have time to have my hair blow dried. I had to leave with my hair half dry/half wet & she charged me the full $80. After I got home and dried my hair I noticed the color was blotchy and darker in some areas. I would not recommend Jessica.

Lauren was awesome!! I came in with my hair having box red and brown dye even though I’m a natural blonde and she got me back to what I wanted and made me feel great! She is so sweet and did an amazing job on my hair!

I was recommended to Salome for textured hair and I have no idea why. From the moment I walked in, I felt like she didn’t want to do my hair. All I asked for was the ultimate blow out which includes a wash and a shampoo. She asked “when’s the last time you detangled it?” Ummm isn’t that what I’m paying you to do?! Then she proceeds to say she can’t do it. Complete waste of time. If you are AA please go to Samantha. I don’t know how Salome is considered a stylist if she can’t do the basics.

A huge thank you to the patient and helpful hairdresser (and her just as amazing manager) for fixing my hair today. You guys not only went above and beyond to restore my hair color but you also gave me a break on cost and a free treatment as if to make up for another salon’s mistakes. You guys were incredible and generous and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

This salon’s front desk is awful. It never fails that they don’t answer the phone and when they do, it’s with attitude. They talk to you as if you’re the problem. No wonder JCP is losing business. Do better.

Big rat ran across the floor while the associate was answering a question for me. She seemed startled but not surprised. On the other hand, I wasn't about to stay in the store, so I thanked her (from about 20 feet away after running!) and did not get a chance to finish shopping because I headed to my car! The employee was nice though. However, a comfortable shopping experience and big rats just don't go together. It was big...like put-a-saddle-on-it kind of big LOL! Tech Ridge and IH35 location in Austin could use a pest control company!

Present for my wife for Christmas. Order was placed online. Online store Claimed there was 2 available. I get to the store and the order was not ready(which I understand takes 2 hours or more). I ask if I can buy the other one available and pay for it since I live an hour way from the location(please consider it was raining today w/ traffic). The guy at the counter says, "sure that's fine". So I go in search of what I'm looking for. After 10 mins I never found it. I go back to wait in line again. I tell the guy at the register that there was two available. I refresh my page and now it says "1 available". So he steps out back to check on it. Another 5 mins go by. I'm finally told: "my manager couldn't find the product in the back either. I don't even think we have these in stock". JCPENNY GET YOUR STUFF together please!!!

I just got my hair done recently by Darlene Villasana and heard she left jcpenney to go to Ulta, just next door. Glad she's staying in the area! She does a great job on my hair!

I have enjoyed Darlene Villasana's Services at JC Penny for over a year now. Darlene started being the only person to touch my hair since October 2022. Her suggestions on highlights, Ola Plex, conditioning and cuts have been great... This is the healthiest is has been . Loved the flexability and her desire to always squeeze me in and stay late to provide me what I needed. Sad to say I won't be able to enjoy her at JC Penny's but I will now be enjoying her services at Ulta right next door.... Looking for a great color and cut give her a call at ULTA.

Wish I could rate 0 stars! Don't waste your time. Your stylist will arrive 20 minutes after your scheduled appointment and will literally take walk ins BEFORE taking care of actual scheduled appointments. No apologies or anything. I used to love it here but now it is soo unprofessional, would never recommend this place to anyone again and definitely wouldn't recommend making an actual appointment
