Used to buy fabric from Walmart and Hobby Lobby. This time gave a try and noticed their Store Closing banner. After the service, it’s clear that why they going out of business.
Very poor customer service! Staff don’t want to cut based on customers needs. Asked the manager came, staff did the job with anger and argue with you!
Going out of business? This is why!

I wanted to buy fabric from Joann but they were very strict on the 2 yard rule. I understand buying to yards but I asked the seller if she would cut it in half for religious purposes and she argued with me for 10 minutes that the policy does not allow them to cut fabric in half even though I was more than willing to buy the 2 yards. Do better your job requires it.

Recently bought some items from this location and they were extremely overpriced and low quality. The only reason we bought them was because they are going out of business and on a super deal. I understand why they're going out of business.

Rude, unhelpful, and infinitely easier to order on Amazon.
We drove out of our way to pick up an item, the employee informed us of the closing time (we had over 10 min) didnt help when asked about location of item, found item with two min to spare and she said "were closed" awesome. So glad I went out of my way to pick up an item here when Amazon was cheaper and clearly faster. No wonder it's going out of business.

Wide variety of choices. I've been to this location a number of times December 2024.
First visit was minutes after they opened for the day. I picked dome shirts for some project. I needed more, so on checkout, I asked an elderly lady cashier M(aria?), if they had any more. "What's on the floor is what we have. If we've hot any at the back, they'll be brought out later.". Wow, not too helpful - I'd understand if there were people in queue, but there were none. I'd understand if she was on her last leg of her shift, tired - but it was just 10:30 am.
On subsequent visits, there'd be 8+ of us on the checkout queue - one cahsier. No additional ones were requested. When one customer completes her transaction, another one joins the queue - meaning, there are constantly at least 8 people in line.
If it weren't close to home, I'd shop elsewhere.
Craft store prices are so inflated, such that applying sale discounts make it appear you got an excellent deal. If the items you want are in WM, head straight there. WM prices would be a tad cheaper, even if craft store give you 50% off.

Avoid this Joanns. It's almost 2 weeks after Christmas and 25 people are waiting to be checked out by one cashier and it's sloooow going. I talked to the manager to help out. She said she cannot and does not know how to run a register!! Really?. huh. I think it's more like you don't care about your customers. She should have dropped everything to help the customers that pays her bills.
Warning, avoid this Joanns or you will regret coming here. I know I do. It took me 50 minutes to get through that line.
Shame on you manager.

Once my go-to for basic sewing notions and fabric , I now dread coming to this location close to my house simply for the fact this location has been grossly understaffed for quite some time. I hesitated to post a negative review but felt this needs to be addressed, after my past four visits in the last two months.
The day after Christmas, my son and I came to purchase fabric for a sewing project and stood in line for well over 30 minutes, behind shoppers with multiple FULL carts of discounted holiday decor with only one cashier working (props to her for working her butt off while maintaining a friendly demeanor). Had our fabric not been cut, I would have put my merchandise back and walked out. This afternoon, I reluctantly walked in to get a few things and as soon as I walked in and saw how long the line was (only one cashier was working), I immediately walked out. Even during weekdays during no peak hours, there is always a line for getting fabric cut but especially checking out.

The stock at this location is awful. They’ve been out of basics like certain brands of knitting needles and stitch markers for months. Don’t even bother asking an employee for anything because they all act like you’re wasting their time. Today I went to pick up a skein of yarn and the website said they had 13 of the color I needed - the shelf was bare. Every time I’ve stopped at this location lately it’s been a waste of time and I will not be returning. Even if this is your closest store, make the drive to Round Rock. The employees are actually friendly and you’ll be able to find what you need

FYI, if you have a pickup order your are prioritized. If you go in store, you have to wait in their normal checkout line to get your order. Horrible. Why the hell would I do a pick up order?

Usually a nice place to shop but this time it seemed very short staffed and the lines were long at the cutting tables and checkout. The staff really did their best but we saw several people just put their items down and walk out.

Over the last few months I've picked up a ton of new crafty hobbies so I have made SEVERAL stops by my local Joann. There were a lot of nice employees the store was pretty well organized and the yarn selection is immaculate. My standout visit was a few days ago meeting this super nice cashier with cool black and Platinum hair that was so great to talk to. Hope they got their sea monkeys! Thank y'all
