20 years ago, I absolutely LOVVVVVED the furniture and furnishings at this store. I spent tens of thousands of dollars there on gorgeous lamps, tables, buffets, and other furniture. Like everyone else, sadly, the style offerings there have completely changed. Everything there is now mid century, contemporary, or modern. YUCK. No thank you. I yearn for the old days when they had some of the most gorgeous furnishings you could find anywhere in the country.

Terry is one of the best in the industry. We would fly to Austin TX from San Diego just to shop with Terry. She is the consummate professional!

Working with Diana has been one of the best things about moving to our new home. It all started with buying one small piece of furniture from the showroom floor and led to complete design of our our primary bedroom, living room, full house window coverings and many other specially curated furniture and art and decor pieces throughout our home. Diana is a unique design consultant in that she inserts her own ideas when they enhance your own preferences but does not push her own agenda. Her communication and coordination with me and my husband every step of the way has been professional and timely. Every time we have guests in our home they always comment on our selections and ask where we bought the items and who we worked with and we are proud to say JWI and Diana.Services: Window design

We are so happy we found John Williams and Diana!

We have bought from John William Interiors repeatedly over the course of the last 20 years. But this is the first time we engaged with their design consultants. David Fuller has been amazing to work with and understands what I am trying to accomplish in our home. He has made suggestions that I would not have picked out on my own and those selections all pulled together are exactly what was in my mind's eye but I could not readily articulate it. David is a one stop shop for everything. He picked out all the furniture. All upholstery and leather was hand picked by David. He also found the light fixtures we used throughout the house which are truly art pieces in their own right. He designed a built in cabinet that looks like a piece of furniture and it is customized to our specific storage needs. We are extremely happy with our experience and the results!Services: Dining room design

Refreshing and upscale furniture store with good selection of items, to include: fabric, lighting, seating; art work display and casework; some very interesting finishes and objects. Very cordial staff and not pushy or forward, just the right balance of information, interest in your need and capable of helping or simply allowing you to browse, which is what I was doing ahead of my wife arriving.

I really, really appreciated being able to walk around the showroom without being hassled by sales agents. You can shop off the floor or create custom designs. The staff was extremely helpful when I asked questions about a few items and I never felt pressured to purchase anything. They have some great pieces in the store, especially for those that lean towards a ‘glam’ & modern interior design style.

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience with this company. I received a damaged console table and they were completely unwilling to work with me on a return or replacement item. Not to mention, for the price point of the item, I was extremely disappointed with the quality. As a designer, or as a retail customer, I would NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN. When I tried to resolve this, the owner was extremely rude and condescending. I strongly advise against using them for anything as you will receive awful customer service. If I could give less than 0 stars, I would.

We worked with Terry Davey and and enjoyed our experience every time we were in contact. Terry is professional, kind, and talented. She saved us from making a big mistake with our living room rug. I would highly recommend her for any of your interior design needs.

Beautiful furniture! Delivery was on time and the gentlemen were professional, courteous and very careful with the set up. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase with JW for our next furniture needs!

I hate to leave a bad review but I feel this is worth mentioning. Mind you, I've shopped and purchased from this store in the past spending thousands of dollars and had great service. Update to today where I'm in the market for new furniture and decided to stop in. Although I was greeted right away, it felt reluctant. I told the gentleman what I was looking for and actually found something I liked but was unsure of the size. He proceeded to tell me they were a high end store yada yada yada that I felt he was insinuating I couldn't afford it. I told him I had shopped here before and that the owner is a long time friend of my sister and that I love the store. I'm only assuming that because I wasn't dressed to the nines and dripping in jewels that he felt I was shopping in the wrong store. This is how he came across to me. He did proceed to tell me that they offer to come to your house to help with design. Because my space is challenging, I decided to take him up on his offer anyway. I emailed him with that request. Crickets. I have since shopped elsewhere where I was treated with respect and spent $$$. I'm sure not all of their designers are this way but this gentleman will keep me from shopping here. So dress to the nines, wear your best jewelry, drive up in your Bentley and you just might get the service and the respect you deserve!

Listen up girlfriends, because this is the only review you are ever going to need. I am the pickiest person alive, haha. After going to several furniture stores and wading through all the ugly, yucky things to maybe find one thing I didn't hate, I stumbled into John-Williams Interiors. I was new to Austin, and had never been in. From the moment I stepped in, I knew I was in the right place! The gorgeous show room was full of one unique, lovely, item after another...just absolutely beautiful things!!! Just beautiful! Terry Davey was my designer. She is on the cutting edge of design. She is kind, decisive, she listened to me and quickly tuned into my personal style. She worked within my budget and was a blast to work with. She is smart as a whip! I cannot say enough good things about Terry and this team and they have my loyalty for all my furniture needs. The quality and beauty of the furniture I bought will bring joy to our family for years to come. Thank you John-Williams Interiors and Terry!

We used John-William Interiors about 2 years ago to purchase a Bracci Living Sectional that we fell in love with at the store for our new condo at the Spring Condominium in downtown Austin. The delivery of our sectional took about a month or so, which we were totally fine with as we understood that furniture takes time for shipping and delivery especially with higher end products. When it came time for delivery, the delivery guys were very quick to tell us that a portion of the sectional wouldn't make it through the hallway and they even pulled out their measuring tape to try and prove it. As we aren't movers, we took their word for it and only half of the sectional was delivered. We ended up having to hire a Specialty Delivery company which we paid over $400 to have them lift it with a pully system over a wall from the pool deck/parking garage on the level below to avoid using the hallways. We finally had our full sectional and we're ecstatic at how amazing it was. Comfortable, fine Italian leather, fit the space perfectly, what more could we ask for. Here is where the problem was; Fast forward to last week. We were now moving out of the building as we sold our condo. We hired a great local moving company who had 2 guys, I'd say they were in their early 20's. They took the sectional, right through the hallways, the same ones that John-William Interiors said they couldn't deliver it through, and right into the elevator and right through the lobby hallway and right into their truck. No problem whatsoever. I mean, it literally took them less than 5 minutes to get it out of our unit, through the hallways, into the elevator, through the lobby hallway and right into the truck. We were not only lied to by John-William Interiors, we were out $400 for no reason at all. They never made the attempt to fully deliver the sectional, I asked them to try and they said it wouldn't fit so they weren't going to try and they even made me go to the warehouse to pick it up since they said they couldn't leave it with me. We paid well over $7,000 for this sectional with delivery and they didn't credit us a thing. They lied to us and made us pay another company knowing exactly what we were paying the Specialty company to do by hauling it over a wall from a level below our patio. What a disgusting, unethical company to do something like this. Maybe they ordered a sectional larger than we wanted? Maybe they ordered the wrong sectional and were too worried to be honest with us? Who knows? But to have your IN-HOUSE DELIVERY TEAM tell us it wouldn't fit and then knowingly let us hire a specialty mover to deliver it over a wall and have us WASTE $400 for no reason, is inexcusable.Stay as far away from these unethical people. How horrible of a business owner do you have to be to allow for this to go on. Looking back at it, it was pretty obvious that they knew it would fit since when I went back to return their moving blankets, (because we are good people even though they said it was unnecessary to bring them back) the sales person we dealt with said something along the lines of "You really had to get that in there." and I commented to my wife right afterwards that he almost sounded upset when he said it.I will be posting this review everywhere I can and I promise to tell this story to everyone that I know. Again, stay very very far away from this place. They lie and cost us money for whatever reasons they had instead of doing the right thing and making the delivery. I guess they thought that we would be there long enough and move it out the same way we brought it in. 2 young men used almost no effort to get it out after you wouldn't even allow your crew to try even with us pleading for you to do so. Disgusting!P.S. - We have the movers who moved it out if anyone from John-William Interiors doesn't believe the story and they will confirm that it went out with no issues whatsoever. If you want to do the right thing, reimburse us. Otherwise, you will be known as unethical forever.

***UPDATE*** I received a call from either the manager or the owner saying that they apologized for what happened. They explained that they were given wrong measurements for the elevator (not true) and that their delivery team never said anything about it not fitting in the hallways. (also not true) It was a combative insincere apology. I never hinted it was a "scam" but much more likely their incompetence that cost us $400. He then went on to say that I was at fault for spending the $400 and that I could have just returned the sectional. Why would I return something that we really liked and wanted and that ACTUALLY FIT? Yes it's about the $400 that we never needed to spend that we did because we we're lied to by one of the representatives of your company. It's the principal. The insincere apology was insulting. ****ORIGINAL MESSAGE**** We used John-William Interiors about 2 years ago to purchase a Bracci Living Sectional that we fell in love with at the store for our new condo at the Spring Condominium in downtown Austin. John-William Interiors illustrated OUTSTANDING customer service. I'm impressed on how Christy would research a certain merchandise and to expeditiously follow up with me right away. She didn't give up empty handed telling me we don't have it but she found alternative ways to come with a solution. She went over and beyond my expectations and I'm pleased with the customer service that she has conveyed. She deserves a raise. A+ 100%
