I love the staff at Joslin❤️My daughters, niece & nephew attend this school & they absolutely love it. The Principal, Mr. Chang. Never in my years have I come across a loving, caring, fun person/Principle like him. He shows how much he loves each of these little ones as if they were his very own. The office staff is just amazing & the teachers are so loving. I wish I had these teachers growing up in school lol Just such an amazing Team they are???

This is the best group of teachers and faculty! They run a seamless operation, while providing our kids with a wonderful education. Blessed to have my child at Joslin!

I am extremely upset with this school. My daughter attends here for Kindergarten and I've had too many issues with her teacher Mrs.Ross. I've addressed the issues with the teacher and the principal and it seems as if it gets to death ears. I have court papers which were presented to the school when it comes to court orders for my daughters father . I have asked to be communicated everything to do with my daughter. However the teacher has made the decision to allow my daughters father not to follow court orders by being the middle person between my daughter and her father. What frustrates me is that they do what they please behind my back and not informing me of what's going on. She allows my daughters father to call her cell phone to speak to my daughter. I'm sorry but my daughter is there to learn. For this reason my daughter will not be returning to this school. I can't trust this school with my daughter.

Joslin has been such a great choice for my family and our first steps into elementary school. One of my favorite things about Joslin is that it is a small school with a great community. It currently only has only about 290 kids total with only TWO kindergarten classes. What other AISD public school can say that!! So many schools here in Austin are so over populated and crowded. My son's kinder class only has 18 students. I researched private schools and other AISD schools before choosing Joslin. Every person I spoke with LOVED Joslin and spoke so highly of it. I read reviews, spoke with parents, took a tour and attended many of the family nights before deciding Joslin was the right place for us. We requested an AISD transfer and were easily granted one. The campus itself is adorable and small with a beautiful courtyard. When my son walks out of his classroom he sees beautiful trees and a garden the students helped cultivate themselves. They often use the courtyard and gardens to do hands on activities for science. My son is currently finishing his kindergarten year and is doing great. Coming out of preschool he had a hard time with transitions but his kinder teacher, Mrs. Ross really understands children and helped him work through those challenges. She had so much patience and included us in creating a plan to help him and now he is on honor roll and already reading. The school really preaches kindness and empathy and understand that kids need movement and play. They get two recesses and have movement classes where he has done Yoga and all sorts of cool activities. I really feel fortunate to have found this school and love being a part of this great little community.

There is a great sense of community at this school, and the kids and teachers seem to all know each other by name. The class sizes are small and teachers are very communicative with the parents. The PTA is very active and welcomes additional parent and community involvement. The campus has nice playgrounds, a running track, gardens and courtyards, and the building has lots of daylighting.

We love Joslin Elementary! The school is quaint with friendly faculty and staff. We transferred in from a neighboring school and couldn't be happier.
