First off, I’m a whiskey connoisseur and collector. I live in Dallas, but travel to Austin 2-4 times a month.
I found King Liquor by accident and that was the best mistake of my life! As soon as I walked in, I was a kid again walking into Toys R Us… They have a MASSIVE selection of allocated whiskeys. That’s fantastic in itself, but the added cherry on top is that their customer service is extraordinary and very knowledgeable. I know A LOT about whiskey and they gave me a few recommendations I never heard of that ended up being some of the best bourbon I have ever tasted. Also just found out today that they have the largest selection of Mezcal in the city, my fiancé LOVED that.
All in all, if I could give this business more than 5 stars, I would. Honestly, I am hoping no one takes my advice, so I don’t have to compete to buy all my allocated bottles, but if you do take my advice, you won’t be sorry!

King Liquor is awesome. Sam and his staff are consistently eager to help. They’re super friendly and excited to solve the ask. They have all the basics, lots of top shelf, and an incredible array of unicorns. It’s fun to just look sometimes. They’ve had everything I’ve come to buy and know when to expect the next batch of special releases. They treat all clients with respect and know the regulars.

There is a wonderful wine expert there who knows EVERYTHING. I go for 20-30 year ports. That's a niche thing. She knew everything.

Got screamed at to get off property when i wasn’t even near the store. Guy came out of the store told me he owned it and the shopping center, i was just shopping near the liquor store when i was walking back to my car a guy came out of the store followed me to my car and started cursing me out to never come back and get off his property. I didn’t even get near his store or talked with anyone, I truly don’t recommend getting nowhere near this store unless you wanna get scream at for no apparent reason.

Nothing short of exceptional service. I am throwing a huge event and I did not know where to start. Karen was so helpful and amazing I felt like I paid for a special service! I have everything I need now and will be returning to king liquor for my next event! Such nice staff!
