I have had my children for years now at KIPP schools and Comunidad has been doing great with their education. My Kindergartener child has learned to read and write since PreK4 and every teacher they have had has been very caring and supportive! The communication skills are great, they answer messages the same day to our concerns. School bus drivers are part of this team success, they don’t let kids off the bus without proper information. The front office staff is always very welcoming and prepared to ask for IDs even if we seem familiar. The school principal, Ms. Doyle is always present for after school activities and award ceremonies, she’s very involved with her team and family. My children feel safe and comfortable sharing their concerns at any moment with their teachers and that makes me feel safe as well.

I’m a student at the school and I’m really happy with the quality here like in how the teachers teach their kids and I also do love the cafeteria food. There is one time where they made tamales and there were so freaking good like I am in love with them now I’ve always liked tamales but these are so good and if you want your kid to try out a new school, just at least try Kipp there’s really good quality and really good food and there’s also programs for your kid like drama art probably even science I’m not sure I didn’t really get to experience all of them because I was in drama and trust me it was amazing! I was the stage crew manager there and at first it did seem a little difficult, but once you start getting to know the crew and all the people in drama then it’s gonna seem a lot easier and whenever you get to see what you created then you’re gonna be so happy but seriously try this school out. It’s amazing and I did have low grades at fist but my teacher helped me in different ways and then I got my grades up, so please just try this school

Yo this School has Been Beyond Unprofessional with me Ever Since I Tried to Follow Up for a Parent Teacher Conference , they tried to ban me from school grounds cause my step son almost got abducted by another student and her family , Reached out to Chelsea Coverly Young to Try to get this Situated she called CPS on me for asking for corporate number because she wasn't trying to Follow Up with the parent teacher Conference ; They have also made it a Struggle for me to even pick up my kids from the Car line gotta literally go around 2-3 times before I actually receive the kidsI see it as their way of retaliation and trying to Silence Me from Following Up....I even Provided Solid Proof to the Administration just said to stop reaching out.

My child was happy to assist for here.It has its flaws. Wish that they could teach kids basic common knowledge with all the intense preparation they have the kids doing. Teachers aren't very good at communication with parents.

i know quite a few of the teachers here, both past and present, and the amount of work, concern, and dedication that the staff puts into each of these kids is not just amazing, but very humbling and inspiring at the same time.kipp students dont only get top notch education, but from what has been evident to me is that they also gain a family.no amount of stars can describe, nor do justice to describe its teachers and most importantly, its students.

I think that every school has room to grow and at Comunidad they focus on growth and getting better. It's not a perfect place but it always strives to be better.Dual language is super important and it's one of the best models in the country and the original dual language school in the KIPP network.
