Bed was hard as a brick. No hot water. Fumes and noise from construction below us. Secuirty doors did not work after hours (left wide open)Powdered eggs for breakfast , yuk. Eventually had to abandon our plans due to no hot water after 5 days of stalling comments from management. Beware carpets were crunchy too. Bathroom door had all kinds of stuff on it( let your imagination roam) .

Definitely one of the older hotels, but it appears that they are slowing starting to do some renovations on the property. One thing I did notice after a couple days on the property was the veterans parking is in the very back of the property. I would have thought if that was important to them that they would have placed it up front.

Our hotel room was ransacked and many items stolen at 10 am shortly after we left the room in the morning. Hotel has inadequate security with no functioning card readers or security cameras at the entrances/exits with the exception of video camera in the lobby. Hotel staff was slow to respond when we called to get their help. The GM was unavailable. When the GM came to talk to us the next day, he claimed no one had been in our room while we were gone. Find my device indicated our devices were one mile away at an apartment complex within one hour of our departure. While LaQuinta was of no help, the Police officer was very kind and helpful. I would not recommend staying at this hotel because the GM admitted they were aware of the gaps in their security but have no plans to rectify it because they are doing renovations and will not have secure entries until renovation is completed. He said their former security system was outdated.Safety: Standard security measures that are expected are absent.

I can give no stars for our recent stay, but it made me, so I’ll give just 1…we were charged a $250 + tax fee, for smoking in the room, and WE DONT EVEN SMOKE!!! We booked a week at this location, after abt 2 days our trash was full so we set it outside the room to be emptied. It sat there for 2 DAYS and housekeeping never touched it. We check out and then get charged almost $300 for smoking. When I called, the assistant manager told me they found snuffed out cigarettes in the trash can, that had been sitting outside our room for 2 DAYS!!! When I told her those weren’t our cigarettes, she said she had proof of smoking and the charge stood. When I asked if she smelled smoke in the room, her answer was no. When I asked if there were ashes and burn marks in the room, she said no. But that the snuffed out cigarettes found in the trash can, that had been sitting in the hallway for 2 DAYS, was proof of smoking in the room and the charge stood. I called corporate and got the run around. I will be reaching out Monday morning, to speak with general manager, to see if this can’t be resolved. We’re very frequent patrons at this hotel, and I could overlook the dirtiness of the rooms or the hairs found all in the bathrooms, or how not all amenities are up and working all the time…but I won’t overlook being falsely charged for something and we will never stay at another.Rooms: Dirty and under construction

Had a great stay here! I stayed in a double queen room and it was clean and spacious. Every staff member I encountered was very nice and also accommodating. We had an issue with our original room and they quickly relocated us to another room without any hassle. This hotel has free parking too and is ~15 minutes from the city as well as ~5 minutes from a bunch of stores like Walmart and Target so it's in a great area. Definitely recommend!

Bad experience here. Checked into my room about 8 pm after a 12-hour work day. Checked out 11:30 pm due rude neighbors and staff refusal to accommodate a room change. Went to sleep about 10pm. Then rudely awakened by loud talking a laughter and tv by room next door about 11pm. I asked them to keep the noise down, which they agreed to, but that lasted less than 5min. Packed my room and went to the desk since they didn't answer the phone that rang for over 10min. As politely as I could in my very tired, rudely awaken state, I asked for a room change and explained, only to be told that's not policy. The attendant said he would speak with them, but that was not acceptable since I already spoke with them. I again asked for a room change, only to be told again that's not policy and there are no King rooms. I replied, "I don't need a king room." The attendant changed the story replying the hotel is full. NOW, I feel Im being lied to. So my choices at this point are to deal with rude neighbors and a frustratingly sleepless night or drive 3 hours home because the hotel can't/won't provide a quiet place for me to sleep. Yup... I drove home. Not even an accommodation on the billing (Good thing it's company paid.) Apparently, this attendant isn't very good at customer service or thinking outside the box to resolve an issue. Worst La Quinta experience I've ever had. I will no longer advocate for them with my company for travel. I will find other accommodation for my personal travel. Facilities dated and need deep cleaning.

I stay here for work a couple times a year because it’s location is convenient to where I’m working. That ends the items in the plus column for this location. My most recent stay, I changed rooms twice. First rooms smelled like a family of dogs had lived there for a month, and the second room’s fridge didn’t work and hadn’t work in a while. There was mold growing in it.On a previous stay, I changed rooms because the shower had very little pressure and you could see through the gap between the entry door and the door jamb. It’s not uncommon to have special instructions on the door handle to get into the room such as “Must lift handle up.”This place is in some serious need of updating. Paint is chipping from most doors (entry and inside the rooms), tile is dirty and old, some bathroom fixtures are old/broken, and on and on.The staff was very helpful and courteous with my multiple room changes.

ABSOLUTELY the WORST La Quinta I have ever stayed in!!! Room 114 was disgusting!!! The carpet looked like there was a frat party in the room the night before. The beds were uncomfortable! The staff didn't seem to care. The General Manager, Joshua, refused to return any of my phone calls. I will never stay there again!! Beware my friends. There are plenty of other good hotels in town.

I booked for business travel to nearby business. Surprisingly affordable price with cozy rooms and great service. Very helpful reception, breakfast included. Yes, it is a bit of old fashioned, but compared to other nearby hotels (I used few) this was the best for business traveler. They even have a fitness room and a conference room if needed. I will book it on my next trip to Austin.

In Desperate Need of a Revamp! recently had the opportunity to stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Austin Southwest , and I must say, my experience left much to be desired. While the location was convenient and the staff were friendly, the overall condition of the hotel was disappointing. One of the most glaring issues was the outdated decor and furnishings throughout the hotel. It's evident that this hotel has seen better days and desperately needs renovation. The carpets in the hallways and rooms were stained and worn, giving the entire place an unclean and uninviting atmosphere. Walking on those carpets felt like stepping back in time, and not in a good way.The elevator was another major concern. It was beat up and dirty, and the unsettling noises it made while ascending made me wonder if it would even make it to the top floor. This lack of maintenance and attention to detail was concerning and added to the overall feeling of neglect within the hotel. The wallpaper in the first floor entry hall is peeling away from the walls. It was a clear sign that the hotel hadn't invested in the necessary upkeep to maintain a pleasant environment for guests. Despite the old carpet in the room, it was clean. The lightbulb over the desk was out and the bathroom sink drained slowly.Despite the friendly staff and convenient location, these issues severely impacted my stay at this location. I couldn't help but feel that I was staying in a place that had seen better days and was desperately in need of a makeover. Until the necessary updates and renovations are carried out, I would hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable hotel experience.

Room smelled strongly of mildew and bleach. It's not a nice hotel. We were planning to stay for a few days, but checked out after the first night because it felt and looked really old, not well maintained, and just gross.

Disgusting. Dirty bed sheets hairs all in the blow dryer, poop or something smeared on the wall, dust and grime everywhere and please tell me why the floor is wet. The guy who checked us in was super nice though. They def need to step it up on the house keepers. Floors and walls in the hallway are dirty and stained up with paint peeling and separating. Elevators are gross but they smell like someone smoked a blunt in it lol.

I stayed here in Feb of 2022 for 10 weeks while I was trying to figure out what to do with my life. Staff was very friendly and professional so I returned again in July of 2023 for a few days so I could empty a couple of my storage units into a uhaul truck. I did see just one small roach and a couple of babies which I beat into the next state. Apart from that no problems whatsoever. I was hoping to see Sarah and Rose again upon my return but they had left. I will stay here again to pick up my motorcycle in the near future.

The door to my room was broken, the gym is NOT a full gym and the elevators are broken. They also do not clean your room unless you stay longer than 3 days. This location is great but the hotel is absolutely not.
