We've been at LHM for a few years and LOVE it. The school has taught our child to be kind, be a leader, and work hard to learn. She loves to play outside on the very large playground. In the afternoon, the children have the opportunity to participate in yoga, Spanish, crafts, etc. Throughout the year there are so many fun events- Cowboy day with live ponies, winter wonderland, 4th of July parade, Thanksgiving. Speaking of which, much has been tabled the last year due to the pandemic. It has been harder not talking to her teacher everyday, and not having the same access that I'm used to. While there was still thanksgiving, parents couldn't attend, and parent teacher conferences have moved to virtual. I know without hesitation I can always reach out to her teacher if I have a concern or want to hear how she's doing, and everyone is doing the best they can to keep the doors open and everyone well through this pandemic. And I'm the note of her teacher? Man, I couldn't imagine a better teacher for us: she's structured, engaged, and brings out the best in our child, while helping her grow into herself. Ms. Kate and Ms. Erin are the absolute SWEETEST. They ate the hub of the school and the my child's comfort when she's not okay, plus they both make an effort to engage with parents daily. They're literally always at the door. Regarding the fees- are you familiar with the area?! Joking aside, the costs are upfront, and I received multiple emails about the one-time $50 price increase. LHM worked very hard to keep the doors open and full staff through an epically bad time, and I've seen there are quite a few less children there now as parents lost their jobs. Bottom line: I am comforted knowing my child is in a place where she's loved, protected, and taught in a way that makes my heart glow. If this isn't the place for you, that's totally fair, but there is no need to be unkind; that is the opposite of the montessori way.

My daughter attended Lake Hills Montessori from the time she was potty trained (2.5 years old) through kindergarten. The school was amazing. I loved having a dress code, I actually wish her elementary school had one. The activities they had for the children were amazing such as yoga, Spanish, winter wonderland, earth day celebration, cowboy day, etc. Ms. Kate is an absolute joy to work with and I'm so thankful for all the staff there. It's truly a wonderful place to send your children.
