Experience is based off scheduled annual physical + lab work (included in my physical but that I scheduled to do at a different time). Routine check-up was fully covered by my Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance.\\n\\nI hate to give them a 3, but it's because the office experience warrants a 5, but the waiting room experience warrants a 1.\\n\\nDr. Sarah Bradshaw was great, and the office and staff was friendly, clean, knowledgeable, informative, and mainly efficient. But perhaps a good office just means a popular office, and that included me waiting for what felt like 30-45 minutes the first time, and confirmed 1 hour for the second time when all I had to do was a 5 minute lab test. Perhaps they could work better on their booking system or not recommend walk-ins, or maybe I just happened to come at busy times (Monday afternoon, Friday morning), but just be wary to bring a book or laptop to improve the overall experience and wait time.

Update- it seems I now somehow owe 300$ on my portal- many payments seem to have been both to me and my insurance. I payed 300 on my card for a screening which seems to to have been partially paid by insurance, but they have no record of my payment at all and I still owe the rest?? Also a lot of my insurance payments say "applied to copay" which I also payed at the visit. Some kind of insurance fraud going on here, and now reading other comments about the same thing it's pretty disturbing. I've called and been told I'll get a call back from someone at some point maybe... avoid like the plague; this place is a cash grab scam.

The staff, doctor as well as the nurses are all very nice and attentive. They take the time to listen and take plenty of notes and seem to actually check those notes. Seems like something you should see at every doctor's office but sadly, that hasn't been my experience and I've lost a lot of faith in the medical industry.I have a lot of health issues that I've had to deal with since I was young with the ups and downs that come with it. It was really nice to finally find people that would actually take me seriously and not just write me off... because of my weight or my seemingly difficult or unsolvable health issues.Because of them, I was finally able to find out that part of my health issues are due to an adrenal gland disorder... I'd been to so many other doctors and they would be dismissive and tell me they didn't notice anything, didn't order any tests, tell me it's because I'm overweight, I have diabetes, it's fatty liver...Family Medicine Austin, ran lots of tests and sent me out to get imaging and make sure there wasn't anything they were missing. I can really appreciate medical staff that take the time to really listen and care about their patients. I'm truly grateful.

I need to start this off by saying the ONLY REASON that this gets a 3 star review is because of Rosalia Lopez and her phenomenal service as a provider. She took the time to hear my concerns, she explained everything to me as she was doing procedures, and she was really personable. I will be going back to her for my annual appointments. This morning, I was misdirected by the front desk and sent to the lab where I was greeted really unprofessionally. I ended up feeling like I was an inconvenience and as if it were my fault that there was disorganization with the schedule, rather than an internal error. I heard some of the nurses? techs? talking very loudly and very rudely about me, one calling me entitled, another calling me inconvenient, saying that I was expecting to just be squeezed in, and when I smiled apologetically at one of the employees, they rolled their eyes at me and heaved a sigh. Then, two nurses approached me, saying first that I didn't have an appointment, then in the same breath saying that I was late for my appointment. I explained that I had an 11:15 appointment, which they said they do not offer. They offer 10:45 and 11:30s, but they decide to work with me (mind you at this point, I was close to leaving). When I was called back momentarily to work with Scott, I was met with a stone face, heavy sighs and the feeling that I was an inconvenience, rather than a patient. As he explained to me the process for each test they'd be doing, it was clear he was bored and inconvenienced to have to be working with me. When he left the room for me to change, I stood there debating whether or not I wanted to be seen by these people, but since I took the time off of work, I stayed.Luckily, another nurse came in, explained the confusion, and took me back to the main office for my annual exam. She was the first kind person I'd interacted at the office, which is disappointing as I was there for about 45 minutes at this point. When I got back to the main office, I was greeted warmly by Rosalia and her team. They were kind, professional, and personable.I am a teacher, and I worked in the service industry for years. I understand that things can get hectic and I understand the frustration of having a last minute change in schedule that may feel inconvenient. I do not, however, understand the complete disregard for compassion or treating patients (in my case students) as an inconvenience. I was not comfortable in the space and quite frankly, if it wasn't for Rosalia being so amazing during my annual physical, I would have left halfway through the appointment.I encourage management to speak to their team about professionalism, compassion, and understanding. I have never had such a negative experience in a medical setting, and I am appalled at how I was treated today.

Highly recommend. Honest review here, I have been visiting this facility for over a year and I have been extremely satisfied with my experiences. I had an annual exam today, and it went so well that I thought I'd leave a review. Not only is their communication efficient (text/email/call) BUT they are SO kind... They are professional, and I've never waited longer than five minutes for my appt time. I feel extremely comfortable here, in every aspect of my medical health, and when I addressed my issues that I felt nervous addressing, they were very receptive and HELPFUL! Not at all belittling... I genuinely feel like a new person (still growing), and I know Family Med Austin has helped with that. Thanks ya'll

Very much a mixed bag. Many reviews are either 5 or 1 star which makes it hard to know what you’re going to get, but as a former patient I hope my experience can help you decide.Personally, I had VERY good experiences with Dr Lamia Kadir. I see some reviews call her out negatively - this was never my experience. I found Dr Kadir to be respectful, thoughtful and thorough. She took time to explain things and see if I had questions. She was especially helpful to me during a medical leave of absence, providing the necessary documentation to my employer. I enjoyed my visits and always felt satisfied with the care and treatment I received from Dr Kadir. However, Dr Kadir does not seem to be at this practice anymore and is not listed as a provider on FMA’s website. No idea why, first I’m hearing of it. The reason for the 2star review of this practice were that they were heavily promoting something called “Healthgrades”. Purported to be a gamut of tests that they administer in order to proactively diagnose you with a variety of conditions. Before I was able to make an appt for my annual physical with dr kadir, I was told I would have to complete Healthgrades during a 90min appt AND follow up to be told my results, all completely separate from my physical. It felt sketch. Other review said it felt sketch. And maybe I’m a pushover because I still got the assessment done. And NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN. Everything people were saying about the importance of the results and getting a follow up? Didn’t seem very important at all anymore, after I had paid for the tests to be done and wasted my time. So, yeah. I really don’t know if Healthgrades is legit or a scam, but it felt really weird the way the FMA office pushed it on me, and it was a waste of time and money for me. I miss Dr Kadir and hope she ended up somewhere better.

I started going to this practice a few years ago and really liked Dr. Kadir. Since then, every time I've gone I've gotten a different doctor because their turnover is very high. Recently I went and saw Dr Reddy. She was really nice but seemed inexperienced and did not at all answer any of my concerns. She told me to do a bunch of tests which I did and it's been a few weeks and I still haven't gotten my results. They took a urine sample and 4 vials of blood for a variety of tests and I have no idea what happened to all my samples. I've messaged and called the practice multiple times to get my results. Finally the practice called and told me that the lab ran the "wrong tests" on my samples, not the ones that the doctor asked for. I have since been asking them to share the results of the tests that were run with me as they were labs another doctor at the practice (that no longer works there) had asked for as follow up from my annual. Since I already did the blood work and labs were run and I've received a bill from Quest, I want to see the results of those labs. The practice refuses to share them with me. I have called and emailed several times and I keep getting told to come back and get blood drawn again. I thought it was just me but seeing all the reviews here, it seems like there's something sketchy going on with the practice. Not sure what they are doing with people's samples or if they're just billing insurance for money but not giving people results and making them take the tests again but something isn't right. I will no longer be going to this practice and I don't recommend it to anyone.

This is one of those places where everytime you deal with them, it feels like you have stepped into a weird zone where nothing makes sense.I had an annual wellness check and did not see where on the report my cholesterol was. I called the first time, and they said someone would get back to me and no one ever did. After waiting about a week, I called back and they told me the same thing and still no one ever called me back. After calling a third time I told them if no one reached me from them within 48 hours I would find another Family Doctor.Guess what? I am currently looking for a new place to go to for a new Family Doctor. It was a simple request, and after about a month's worth of calling, no one there called me. I understand that they are busy, but this was more than enough time and chances to give me a call. I need a family practice that has gives more care to their patients than this.Seriously incompetent

The only good thing about this practice is the NP and PA in office. The rest of the staff plays doctor, schedules on their own time and shows NO respect for your mental state or putting you behind on medications with their flippant attitude. I chose this practice for ADHD treatment. I am leaving because they constantly put me behind on my medication schedule and clearly do not care about mine or MANY OTHERS mental state by doing so. Every three months there is a new hurdle to get my medication. Every. Three. Months. NEVER have I been treated so poorly. Jessica and Stephanie are wonderful. They care about their patients, but there is only so much they can do when the main Providers are constantly leaving and constantly making new policies. Office policies, not Federal. I begged to speak with my provider on many occasions, offered to pay full price for even just a few minutes. I'm continually told I can only speak with the office manager who knows NOTHING about me or how this effects my life. DO NOT come to this office for ADHD treatment, please. If I can save one person from the whirlwind of emotions that I've been through every three months this long post is well worth it.

Horrible, shady office keeps harassing me with frequent phone calls more than 3 years since I visited them. They keep try to schedule me for services. I have called their office and asked them to please stop calling me and they refuse to stop leaving their voicemails. STOP CALLING ME, I DON'T LIVE IN THE AREA ANYMORE. I HAVE A DOCTOR ALREADY.

When Dr. Kadir was still with the practice, I never had any issues with my medication. She would literally submit refills while I was sitting with her. Now I understand that there is a shortage of ADHD meds, but I would think that would spur urgency to send refills right away. Instead, I'm left trying to track down meds AND follow up with the office as to why the doctor (who I saw TWO DAYS AGO) has still not submitted a refill request. This is just unacceptable. I really wanted to give Dr. Reddy a chance, but my time with this practice is over.

I had a telemedicine visit to review the results of a mammogram. The nurse practitioner was 45 minutes late to the appointment and when she joined she seems very disorganized and possibly read me someone else's health file. The information she presented did not align with the information Dr. Reedy had previously given me.
