From stunning highlights to flawless cuts, her attention to detail and skill are unmatched. She’s currently at Lather Salon, but honestly, I’d follow her anywhere! I have been meaning to leave this review since May of 2023, oops! I haven't let myself forget though because it felt important to give this salon (and its lovely owner) a shoutout for such a wonderful experience. Last May, I was prepping for an Italian vacation which included getting a direly-needed bang trim. I had stopped by my usual salon to see if I could snag a walk-in bang trim but they were doing training that day and couldn't help me out. I wasn't expecting that and was running out of time and opportunities to get my hair trimmed, so I popped into Lather seeing if they could somehow help me out. The owner (I wish I could remember her name, I'm sorry!) welcomed me in so warmly and kindly. She totally understood my situation and the urgency I felt, and was happy to help me out right away. She worked with me to understand my bang trim preferences and got to work. A few moments later, my bangs were cleaned up and looked great, and I was on my way. Her ability to fit me, a non-client, in to help me out in a major pinch was such a relief and made me so grateful for such kind, generous small business owners like her. I highly recommend Lather to anyone seeking out a new salon!

I love Kim! I finally found someone that listened to what I wanted to delivered a really great highlight. The booking is easy too. (Remember to call ahead while driving and get the details on parking.) I am so happy my friend recommended her/this salon- everyone was so nice and it was just a friendly environment.

This is my salon and has been for years. I'm a natural blonde but with age comes great responsibility and grays. I go every 3 months or so for a trim and fresh highlights to brighten everything up. My stylist Kristin has been doing my hair for 15 years and I've never been anywhere else. This is how good she is. I also love her co-owner biz partner Kim as well. It's such a nice salon and every single time my hair turns out rockstar. If you're looking for a new salon go to Lather. It's right across from Trader Joe's and is ah mazing.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time here! This was my first time in a salon since the pandemic started. Lather Salon is taking every precaution to make sure clients are safe and comfortable. My sister has been following Jai for over 7 years now, and gave me a reccomendation yo go see her. Jai is amazing! She is very attentive to detail and precise with her hair color and cuts! I am thrilled at how my hair turned out!

Having moved to Austin about 9 yrs ago I never quite found a stylist that I loved and that I felt loved me, too. I started working downtown and met Kristin (one of the owners) and thought her hair was so cute. I had been wanting to grow my hair out from a short cut and she held my hand all the way. She's so sweet and sincere and makes you feel like you are the most important person in the room! Her attention to detail is very impressive and you can just tell how zoned in she is when she's working on you. Her color is fresh and bright! (I'm a blonde) And, cuts are spot on!
