Austin has a buzzing vintage and thrift scene, and Guadalupe St between 29th and 30th is something of a Mecca. Of the cluster of shops here, Lo Fi is definitely my favorite. Why? Because rather than being a jumble of modern TJ Maxx leftovers and old lady's nightgowns; Lo-Fi's stuff is really curated. Each item is intentional and special in its own way. It's not dirt cheap but it's also not insanely expensive. I got an awesome 80s sweatshirt for $36 which I feel was a really fair price given the condition and unique Disney design. Jeans might set you back ~$50 but they're going to be in a retro cut and last (decades). There's parking out front and if you don't snag a spot there, there's a little car park behind Lo-Fi that always has spots free. Worth checking out!

I’ve been coming to this shop for years - by far one of the best vintage shops in Austin. I collect both vintage tees + denim and most of my favorites have been purchased here (you know those one of a kind items you hold onto forever and never let go). Prices are very fair for how rare + quality their curated vintage goods are and they have a little of something for everyone. Owners are also two of the nicest (+ coolest) people I’ve ever met. If you love vintage, this is the spot.

EXCELLENT STOCK!!!!! Why would anyone buy fast fashion when they could come here and find such an excellently curated selection of clothes. This place is especially great for people who get overwhelmed at thrift stores, because there isn’t too much to look through and everything is pretty great

Really nice selection, but a little too expensive for my taste. That's not to say things are OVERpriced -- just more than I was willing to pay. Otherwise: - Good location - No trouble parking - Good music in store - Well decorated - Friendly staff Not a huge place but not tiny. Nice spot to stop by and window shop without getting shopping fatigue. There are two spacious dressing rooms, and a few chairs in the store for anyone looking to take a seat.

Loved going through the vintage items here. Definitely higher scale than a re-sale or donation store so you will find a more curated selection of on-trend vintage. It won’t take you long to find something you like. Happy shopping! ? ?

They had a longhorns shirt that was faded and the brand listed on the tag was not even a popular one (such as champion, Nike, etc.)- $35 for this shirt!!! Might as well to go Academy and buy a brand new one without a fading image for that price. My cousin tried on a dress with a Target tag on it marked for $45. I don’t understand that logic. The ambiance is very bougie/boutique as opposed to a common thrift store.

Love the vibe, the clothes and the help from the staff. The assistant manager Soup helped us. He is very professional and helpful for all questions for my daughter. Glad to see there is a real vintage store like this in Austin. Definitely a place to go and get your real vintage gear!

It's a yes from me! I was at another vintage shop in the area and I asked them about vintage t shirts. Being that it was my first time in Austin I didn't realize how much great vintage clothing their was. The first place he told me to check out was Lo-Fi, and with good reason. Lo-Fi was amazing. The store wasn't that large, but it's packed with great well-curated items. I found so many great shirts that I had to put things back because I didn't want to blow all my money on the first store I visited, but really, the selection is that good. The pricing I thought was really fair with what I had seen in the area while I was thrifting in Austin. The staff there was super friendly and they had an adorable little dog there too. I can't wait to go back to Austin mostly so I can spend more money here.

Ive gotten a shirt or two from here before. The prices vary, but a lot of junk is priced high. Like $40 for a random shirt. Some cool stuff too though. Some shirts are priced $70 or $80 and theyre cool but not THAT cool… makes me feel like we’re in a vintage shirt bubble. They put new stuff out in the early morning before opening, and more stuff out on weekends than weekdays.

I've been coming here for the past year and it's been pretty good honestly. Workers have been great, etc. But recently there's this one worker that started working here, he won't even do down 48 cents so i can pay with full bills. Like bruh really? And he won't negotiate one anything when all the other workers do. So now every time i walk in there and see him I'm like ah f**** He's a white taller guy just to let you know.
