I tried to get a quote from Master Pools in Oct 2021 after seeing their high rating here. Took about 3 weeks to secure a date, and I had a good consultation with a designer at my home about remodeling our pool. He said he'd get back to me with a quote in a week or two. After two weeks, I emailed him to check status but got no reply. A week after that I called Amanda (Project Assistant) to ask about my quote; she was vague other than to say the designer was swamped but that I would hear back in a week. That was my final contact with them. I give Master Pools of Austin one star for their handling of my quote process.Service: Remodeling

This has by far been the worst experience I have ever had with trying to get pricing from a company. I understand that all Austin pool companies are busy and some are not taking new customers. There has not been one time has a timeline presented by Master Pools has been met and I am spending my time chasing Mark to try to get information with little to no response. I am formally requesting my downpayment back since this is a complete failure on Master Pools part to honor their end of the transaction. We started this in July of 2021 with our initial meeting with Mark and making a down payment. I have had to send constant emails to follow up to be able to receive any information related to the Pool Design or Pricing. We got a really high level price In late October which was 50% over the target budget and was missing multiple items we requested to be included like a HeatPump/Chiller and replacing the railing on our existing patio. Regarding the railing Mark said that he would include replacing the railing on our existing patio with a metal railing during our design discussions only to find out that it was not included and that Master Pools can't accommodate the request to replace the railing. I have been asking for detailed pricing since October (over 4 months) with no response from Mark. There is no way I will continue the process to build a pool with Master Pools or recommend Master Pools to anyone based on my experience.

Master Pools of Austin has to be one of the best pool builders in the industry. When we had to fire our previous pool builder we called Dennis at Master Pools of Austin and he finished our pool in a timely and professional manner. Highly recommend!Service: General construction

Pool was in bad state of disrepair. Master Pools resurfaced the pool and spa. Looks beautiful now. They did what they said they would, communicated very well, worked around some really inclement weather to make our dates work. Very happy with the result. Nice job!Service: Remodeling

Working with the Brighten Pool's team has been a dream!! They are so understanding of your needs and really partner together to design a pool that fits in your budget while not sacrificing on quality. I was always impressed on their pool building knowledge and how they are staying up to date on what is happening in the pool construction world. They really offer it all and their customer service is just the icing on the top! If you're thinking of getting a pool you should definitely consider using them.

Highly recommend Master Pools of Austin. Had some issues with communication in the beginning, but had a wonderful experience after that. The crew that built our pool was great, and very hardworking. Red is awesome. Any issues we had were addressed and resolved quickly. They use high quality materials and always kept our yard clean. Dennis and his group had a big job getting my pool back to usable. I had leaks, a bad filter pump and my pool was basically a disaster. They were able to get everything fixed and upgraded on schedule and on budget. Everyone was very professional and courteous. I'm currently using their pool cleaning service weekly and they are doing a great job on that. I'm very grateful for Master Pools and for my pool this summer!

We could not have chosen a better partner in the renovation of our pool. They went beyond the call of duty to make sure we were satisfied. They offer great design options, materials, equipment to choose from. They worked hard to make sure the work was complete to our satisfaction and problem solved any issue and answered all of our questions. Love the finished result on the pool. The repairs went well and the new tile and pebble tech finish look great. It can be hard to get a hold of them at times and they did not leave us the extra tiles as promised but we are happy with the result.

We had a great experience working with Master Pools. We went to their showroom and picked out a finish that we liked (Pebble Tec.) I watched their process from start to finish and it was well coordinated and impressive. We got a good bang for our buck! They did an outstanding job.

Great experience from design through construction. The only issue was that once 95% of the pool was complete, it's been very difficult to get the last 5% done off the punch list. This is the case with pretty much every builder/contractor, but still... i wish they would just get it done. But overall, they were awesome and i would definitely recommend them and use them again.

When it came time to remodel my pool I didn't go low bid. I went with Master Pools. That was a big mistake. Had I known then what I know now, I would have gone low bid. I'm still having issues years later caused by a major mistake Master Pools made during the remodeling. The only real fix is to start over, redo the work, and plaster again. Master Pool wants me to pay to fix their mistake. My recommendation to anyone else, is to look elsewhere.
