“As-salamu alaykum, brother.
Thank you for what you are doing. Living in a non-Muslim country can be challenging, but your work makes it so much easier. Truly the best halal meat market in the Austin area!”
“Great team of professional butchers who create products that are of excellent quality with reasonable prices. Thick steaks made from locally sourced cattle. I buy all my meat from this team of creative connoisseurs. Best queso I’ve ever had and their eggs are such a golden yoke treat. I’m glad I sought them out.”
“Everything is so good and so fresh! Everyone that works there is very friendly and knowledgeable. Just a note...look up menu online and then call in your order. They get very busy at lunch time and you don't want to miss out.”

“This place is the bomb!!!!The Cuban is one of the best sandwiches in town and everything on the menu is hot and fresh. There might be a line around lunch time because the food is just that good in the construction workers in the area know it.The taco place are absolutely amazing and I would say this is authentic Mexican food. They have added burgers to the menu lately but I would stick with the Mexican specialties in there is all the ladies are authentic and know exactly how to cook ???”
“Its not Arlans anymore-This place was formerly minimax. Back then it was like 50's time warp. A few years ago it was taken over by Arlan's, a small chain. It was a big improvement, more produce, better products, better hours and more. As of Spring 2021 it has been taken over by Fresh Plus. As of Sept 2021 they are still re-arranging and re-stocking the store so in some respects it is a work in progress. But what I've seen so far is a reduction in the variety of products they carry (especially produce) . You don't shop here if your on a budget as well. They do have an expanded beer and wine selection which seems to take up about 1/5 of the store now, I guess that's what sells at greater margins. The other "neighborhood" grocery stores have similar footprints for booze.Hours got cut (they close at 9) from Arlans, not quite as much charm either. The last of the mini-max era people have left as well. We'll see how it finally shakes out.It still a good place to go to pick up something fast (if they ever quit moving things around and you can find it).”
“If want Hispanic food or products this play is outstanding. However you might have a language problem but they will help you get the items you want. They have the barbacoa in town.”
“I ordered several pounds of Rohu fish from Famous Meats using Google’s messaging function. It was ready on time and perfectly cut. Thank you for a smooth delivery”
“Almost everything is fine, there are only two cashiers who should not work there, they are poorly educated, they are always bad-tempered and they give very bad customer service.”

“A well-stocked store on the edge of the city of Austin; mostly products you find in Mexican supermarkets. Good attention from the guys in the butchery area. The vegetable area is a bit of a problem because they are not always fresh and during my visit there was a cooler in poor condition which showed rust due to the passage of time and they do not do anything to change or restore it.There is a food area inside the store.”
“Great in and out grocery stop. They have all the staple items to keep you from having to go into a big store. Fresh cut meats and cheeses. Sweet breads. They also have a kitchen in the back, too, where you can order cooked food, tacos, or by the pound cooked meats. Also, combo meal deals with tortillas, beans, and rice included. Carnitas is so good. I stop by often and its always a quick and easy experience. ?”
“I have to admit this place seem like it's really nice and they have a nice combination that I would love to try. So the next time I'm in town definitely playing on getting there to get that to try it”
“If you haven't shopped here because you're used to the big box stores, you are missing out. If you like cooking Mexican food, shop where they have authentic ingredients. Prices for the most part are lower than the completion. The employees are pretty cool too. Very helpful. Looking for a good selection of Mexican cheese? Look no further. Try it, you'll love it.”
“My wife and I shopped at La Michoacana often when living in Dove Springs. They have great prices on most items, beating HEB and Fiesta quite often. The fruits and veggies are always fresh and very affordable, the meat is lean and reasonably priced, milk & bread are fresh; the only thing that is to expensive is the olive oil. They also have a check cashing service, which helped when I was working at the labor hall across the street. All the employees are friendly and helpful, even when I mangle the Spanish language trying to be polite and appreciative of the culture. We love the tacos al pastor as well! Not a huge store, but you can't beat it for all your staple goods.”
“Shop there regularly, close to my house, small business, independent grocer, good guy,,hispanic. A little on the pricier side, ethnic food, mostly hispanic products. The main man is cool, doesn't speak slot of english, but if you shop there regularly he remembers his customers, always friendly. Have some super size burgers $5 and lots of other grill foods in store.”
“TRUCKER DELIVERIES , if you get here to park overnight park infront of store or beside store do not block entrance, go to sleep nobody will bother you, in the morning they will knock on your door @0700 am backing is a bit iffy but not hard 2/10 just take your time . They will unload you super quick like in 1 hour good luck . Great place keep up the good work Denmark .”
