I went in today for the first time to get a curly cut. Natalie did an awesome job! The salon is super cute and for my service it was very affordable! Natalie gave me exactly what I was looking for, and I’m so happy with the finished product!!

I got my hair cut by Mimi and she was amazing! I have super thick and coarse 3a hair so I was a little worried about how it would look going in, but she handled it really well and I’m super happy with how it turned out. Also she was really considerate of my preferences during the styling process since I don’t really like diffusing my hair and she shared a lot of helpful advice for hair health and maintenance. The products in this salon left my hair feeling very clean and soft. Highly recommend this place for an affordable curly cut!

I suspect that for most stylists I’m a “nightmare” client- I have extremeeeeeeeely long, thick! textured hair. I’m used to a stylist AND assistant spending one hour tugging my head back and forth aggressively for a blow dry, and have never been particularly impressed by any haircuts I’ve received in Austin. However Josh completely wowed me! I have not stopped raving to friends about his technique- I left with the best cut I’ve had in years. Not only was my result amazing, but the way Josh tenderly spent time de tangling my hair before he blew it out himself was sooooooo the opposite of any experience I’ve had (and I’ve paid 300+ for a cut before) and very very appreciated! I’m really looking forward to my next cut :)

Ayesha Cobb is a gosh darn miracle worker. I came to her on recommendation of a friend after I absolutely FRIED my hair from a bad perm. She basically saved my hair from a pile of straw and helped it grow out as healthily as possible due to all the damage. Since then we've gone red, pink (color depositing shampoos), and then back to og blonde (highlights that were a whole transformation)! I feel like a diva every time I leave the salon. Ayesha takes her time and is so detail-oriented. Never had a better haircut/process in my life and worth every penny.
The salon itself is also really cool and clean, the staff is friendly, and the coffee is good. But Ayesha is the hero of my hair saga!

My wife had a bad experience at Aveda Institute on her Birthday. I contacted Method Hair for a Balayage and was assigned to Josh for my wife Services. We definitely will continue to come back to this location and will continue to work with Josh as he to date is the best hairstylist that my wife has found. He was really courteous, professional, and knew exactly what she wanted and made it happen even after her hair was a complete mess from Aveda. Thank you Josh and thank you Method Hair.

My son suddenly got curly hair when he was 13 and we had no idea how to take care of it. We worked with Alejandra who was so sweet and amazing. They taught him multiple ways to take care of it. He left smiling. It was his first time liking his hair after getting it cut. We'll definitely be back.

I've been looking for a new spot for my hair needs - from blowouts to haircuts. I used to go to Love & Roots on East Cesar, but my stylist moved. I called Method Hair to make an appointment for a blow out on Friday and they had an opening for Saturday at 1 PM with Josh. I thought I get a blowout to test the waters. Make sure I was happy with the service and to check out the space. The service experience felt effortless and relaxing. Josh was friendly, easy-going and an expert on all things hair. His product recommendations were super helpful and it didn't feel like he was pushing any of them on me. My hair is thick, long and I have so much of it. I came in looking like a gremlin and came out feeling like a hair commercial. No before and after pictures, unfortunately. But I felt incredible after! My appointment didn't feel rushed, from the hair wash to the checkout, Josh dedicated his attention and care to me and my hair. The salon itself was so clean spacious and there's a lot of natural light coming in. They also have art work all over the salon from local artists. The receptionist, Alejandra, was very friendly on the phone and in person. Offered me something to drink - and they had all types of drink options! I went with a coke. The blowout was pricey, $75 plus tip but worth it. I loved my experience so much that I made a haircut appointment!

Unfortunately, after going to Method exclusively for haircuts, I'll be seeking a new salon. I have fine, curly hair. I selected Crystal based on information on the website regarding her experience with curls. Everything has been great since....until my most recent appointment when Crystal introduced dry-brushing. This was never part of cuts before, and I NEVER dry brush my hair. It's incredibly damaging to my fine hair. I've been regretting sitting through it ever since, and think Crystal/Method should have mentioned this change to curly clients. I was clearly uncomfortable and she still did it. I should have left, but y'all know how hard it can be to do that in the moment. It's so hard to find a curly stylist that doesn't utterly destroy your hair due to ignorance or willful disregard for the unique needs of curly hair clients, but I can't bring myself to return knowing my hair will be dry brushed.

So I've been looking for a new stylist for a while. I've been looking to get bond, black, and red colors for a long time. I found method hair and right away knew I wanted doug. We crushed my consultation. I came back for the service and became more amazed again with the staff. Doug was awesome and did the best job I've had in years. Doug gave off the best vibe and cannot wait to come back. Worth every cent.

Method’s staff are fun, kind, and inclusive and the salon has won Best of Austin multiple times. The Cult + King products they stock (which you can try there) are where it’s at for me. Online scheduling and street or garage parking (both free) just make it easy. Highest honors here.And on to Master Stylist Doug at Method. My hair (I’m a guy) has rocked his impeccable cuts for 15+ years, and they grow out so well that I look stellar at all times b/w appointments. His coloring skills are next-level. He’s highlighted my hair and masked greys with a gloss, both very natural and subtle (so it didn’t look like I dyed my hair). Other stylists literally approach me to compliment my hair while moving about Austin. I don’t let anyone else style my hair.Services: Haircut
