Monarch Food Mart is a neighborhood convenience store that carries surprising items, like specific organic products, and is a go-to place for ice. Many customers find it a perfect store for needed shopping, praising it as really good with amazing, friendly, and helpful customer service. The store is also noted for being very clean. However, its hours can be unclear and it is sometimes closed when expected to be open. A significant concern from a long-time customer is a clerk whose hostile behavior creates a terrible vibe and makes them avoid the place.
They always surprise me with the items they carry! For example, they have Central Market's organic half n half. This is also my go to place for a bag of ice.

For years I loved the Monarch as my neighborhood store. But the young man who started working there sometime late 2023 gives a straight-up terrible vibe that sometimes can feel borderline dangerous. I'm not sure why management would keep a clerk who glares and yells at customers, but that's why I avoid the place now.
