The guys at the front desk today were very cool and made things comfortable. I'll be back tomorrow to workout there again. I got a membership and it took literally a minute to sign up. Even the people that work out there were very respectful too. I totally give this gym two thumbs up and recommend his gym for anybody that takes their workout serious.

This is a fantastic gym in Tarrytown, focused on functional movements, strength building, and nutrition in a fun, community group setting (very similar to Crossfit). The owners, Jarrod and Katy, are the coaches and they provide great motivation to keep working towards being your best.

This place is amazing. I started here about two months ago and immediately felt at home. The trainers are knowledgable, motivating, and kind. The genuinely want to know about you and know how you're doing. The workouts are constantly changing and keeping you on your toes. I love that they take a good amount of time for a good warm up and mobility cool down. It has made a huge difference in my performance. They walk you through each section of the workout before you start and are constantly walking around checking on form and motivating you to keep pushing. I've taken most of my classes so far with Erin and Joey simply because of the times I can make it to the class and they're both amazing and fun coaches, as is everyone else who works here.

The entire crew at Move Fitness are always fun and welcoming. It never ceases to amaze me at how genuinely nice they are. With happy coaches comes happy clients, and that shows in how other people in the class treat you as well. They too are very welcoming and a fun group of people to be around and sweat with. Overall, great workout and great atmosphere!

This local gym is located in a quite shopping center on Windsor/Exposition blvd. I arrived 15 minutes early to fill out any new member paperwork. Well thankfully its all done electronically on an ipad so that is a huge plus! My class was with Brandon and he was great! 10 mins before class he advised me to use the foam roller to get my body ready. That was very helpful of him to prepare me for his class. I have never used the roller and now I highly recommend this before any intense workouts. During the Strength training hour class he carefully kept tabs on each and every person, recommending modifications. He really cared about how I was completing each circuit. He was wonderful! Thank you!

I would marry this place if they would let me. And this is coming from a formerly gym-phobic yogi. Move is amazing...the best part of most of my days. The workouts are thoughtfully designed to increase strength, stamina and capacity while keeping you safe. The coaching is skilled and genuine across the board, and they pay attention to form and individual progress in a way that I've not seen anywhere else. I sustained an injury three months ago (practicing yoga...NOT at move) and the coaches not only kept in communication with my doctor (who does that?) but also tailored workouts to what I could reasonably accomplish with two sprained tendons. Thanks to them, I'm almost healed up, and I was able to stay on track with my fitness in spite of a pretty significant setback. More importantly, though, Move has helped me to discover inner and outer strength I didn't know I had, and they're incredibly engaged, enthusiastic, and kind. Which isn't to say they don't push me hard, because they do. But beyond that, I feel like they're always there for me: fast or slow, first or last, up or down. Like I said, I really love this place. Now, I almost feel like I'd give up my yoga practice before I'd give up my workouts, and that's saying something.

MOVE Austin Fitness is a class act - the trainers are exceptional and the workouts are designed for increasing strength, flexibility and stamina. I have been going to Move for over 2 years, and consider it one of the best decisions I've made. As an active person, it's important that I stay fit and injury-free, and MOVE does this for me. Plus, they are great people that really care about giving you the best training for your money. 5 STARS FOR SURE!

I've been going to Move Austin since Jarrod and Katy opened it up. The results have been outstanding. I'm stronger, weigh less and feel better. Whether you are young or older (like me), in good shape or trying to get in better shape (like me), they offer a proven program that works and produces results. All the trainers are professional and work with each individual in the group class to ensure the program meets their needs.

I've been going to Move for almost 4 years and its never the same class! I get bored with other gyms as its too routine. The Move coaches and community are awesome making working out much more fun. Its a total body program with stamina, strength, cardio weeks and different focus days. Also there is nutritional support available and a physical therapist on staff that are great total health resources!

MOVE is a fantastic place to get yourself working hard several times a week and the culture and general tone is the most authentic and truly happy that I've experienced in my 12 years in Austin.  The focus is very personalized -  I leave every session feeling good about how hard I worked.  I can't thank Jarod and Katie enough for dreaming up and making Move a reality.

This is a no brainer. I am addicted to the workouts, and to the MOVE community! -the coaching staff are professional, motivating, down-to-earth, supportive and knowledgeable. -the programming is top-notch. Each work out challenges you, but will keep you coming back for more. I promise, you will see results! -this is a community. Friendly faces, supportive people. -Come one, come all vibe. You can be a top athlete or maybe someone that's trying to get back into shape after a 20-year hiatus. This is what impresses me most about MOVE. Everyone is welcome, everyone gets a great workout, at his or her own pace. Love, love, love!

If you are like me and need a little motivation to get out the door and like to see results from a fitness exploit quickly, then you should really try Move Austin. I joined a few months ago and I go two times per week. I joined mainly bc I felt like my chest compressions were weak at work (scary thought when your job is to save lives) and since joining I am arguably much more energetic and stronger in all aspects of my job. I have always felt like I am just a runner and wasnt much into weights. Since joining Move, I have seen how adding a variety of exercises to my week has improved my fitness. I like all of the trainers at Move, they really work with you and want you to not only succeed in your goals but want you to enjoy the workout as well. Things you should know: 1.) The workouts are hard. (Like sweaty and sore hard) 2.) You will feel like you are getting personal training sessions bc the atmosphere is close nit and small groups of usually 8 or less people. 3.) It's a little pricey, but if you get the year's worth at once you'll save a lot of money... and let's be real, how often are you using that gym membership anyway? 4.) You sign up in advance and it makes you feel accountable for showing up. 5.) One last thing, you make friends here and that also makes you feel like working out more when you have a buddy to meet up with! Thanks Move!

Move provides thorough workouts with a great community of people. The workouts focus on strength, movement, agility and speed. Each workout can be modified to a person's fitness level and the coaches are great at encouraging and monitoring form. Jarod and Katy (owners) are fun, energetic and very knowledgable. I would recommend Move to anyone trying to achieve a higher level of fitness. If you already having a rigorous training schedule or are just beginning, Move will help you meet your goals.

I can't say enough amazing things about what Move has done for me over the past year. I have seen incredible improvement on my strength, mobility and endurance that blows away what I was doing before. The workouts are thoughtfully planned by the staff and each cycle brings about incremental changes that are steady and consistent. The staff is truly an amazing bunch of professionals--I love all the trainers that teach the classes. The environment and the people are so supportive and encouraging, regardless of your fitness level (which will improve I promise!) Totally worth the investment and it is the only place you will ever want to work out!

Katy and Jarrod have truly changed my life. I started working out with Jarrod two years ago and then did boot camp with Katy in Reed Park. From park to gym, they showed me that I could jump on a box, run a mile in 12 minutes, lift 80 pounds, do 120 pushups and more. I can even do a 10 minute squat---I call it the "time out squat"! Who knew!! I'd spent the last 30 years working 10-12 hour days. Now, nothing comes between me and my workout at the 9:30 Women's Class. It's ME time! The workout is always different, always fun (because I prove to myself I can do it!) and the women are fabulous. I've met some incredible new friends and reconnected with old friends from the neighborhood. I feel better than I've felt in years and I've lost 25 pounds. I shedule my work schedule around my workout schedule and look forward to seeing my work out buddies. We support and inspire each other. I'm so proud of what Katy and Jarrod have helped me accomplish.
