Outstanding!! We took a wedding dress to be altered and hemmed. It turned out perfect. The quality, service and timeliness were superb. Gladys was kind, clear on the pricing and timing and very helpful, and Anita did beautiful work on the dress. Nelda’s is an Austin treasure!

Nelda's is simply the best and there's a reason they have been around so long! I discovered a defect in the back bodice of my mother of the bride dress less than a week before my daughter's wedding, which gave my dress the appearance that it was either torn or unzipped. This was not exactly the look I was going for when being escorted down the aisle and I was launched into panic mode. I gathered up my dress and rushed to Nelda's where I was met by the sweetest man who not only allayed my fears, but assured me that he could correct the defect in plenty of time for the wedding. When I returned three days later, I was presented with an absolutely perfect dress that was repaired at an extremely reasonable price. What they pulled off was nothing short of magic as they created a lace overlay where previously there was none! I am forever indebted to Nelda's for allowing me to celebrate my daughter's wedding in the dress of my dreams!

I have been going to Nelda's for years now and they are absolutely the best! The staff is professional, personable, super sweet, accommodating, informative and reasonably priced. It's always been a quick and reasonable turnaround depending on the job and if it's wedding season they have been communicative and let me know things may take a little longer. They have also come through in a pinch! Their work is always top notch. I got my mom goin there and she loves them! I highly recommend Nelda's!

I had a dress emergency less than 2 weeks before my wedding. Nelda's Tailors was able to get me in through a walk-in appointment and find a solution for me. They were great at communicating when my dress would be ready and they made it possible for me to fix my dress in time and at an affordable cost. I will plan to use them for things that may pop up in the future!

I was traveling to Austin from California for my sons wedding. My dress came in late and I could not get the dress hemmed. Not only did they hem my dress overnight they also were able to tailor dor my chest. And for a great price! Amazing! I would highly recommend!

Unreliable, and seems like a disorganized operation. Tailoring is okay quality but several experiences with overcharging and delays without calls over the last year. Would not recommend based on trying to relay poor customer experience with owner one on one, and was disappointed to find unwillingness to listen.Services: Hem repairs

They graciously accommodated my wedding dress alterations 2 weeks before the day of the wedding. The dress fit perfectly, and everyone at Nelda's was professional and kind. I'll definitely return for any future tailoring needs!

Neldas did a lovely job for a fair price. I was getting a dress hemmed and was assured it would be done in a week when I needed it by. In 6 days I called and they said it would not be ready… I told them I was promised the next day and they said okay come tomorrow. I come to pick it up and they can’t find my dress. They find it and it isn’t done… they said give us 30 mins. They did get it done by the time promised, but it required me to keep checking on it. I would use their services again, but not if I was in a hurry.
