Please read prior reviews regarding price discrepancies with this company and know that you have been warned. I am going to do my best to make a long story short...for years, my designer had used this company for her clients and because we have in turn used her for years, I trusted we were in good hands. We had just moved into a multi million dollar home where we used a reputable, 5 star company called Heavenly Moves and they were fabulous, honest and upfront about all charges before the move began. I purchased some furniture items from a local store called Four Hands and sadly, they do not deliver so you have to arrange for your own pickup. We have a couple of construction companies and over the years, I have used our trucks/guys to pick up items from Four Hands without any issues. Due to the fact that we had just moved and I needed quite a few items to be picked up, I decided to use Nice Moves so that we would receive our items in one delivery as opposed to multiple trips. Four Hands is less than 3 miles from our home, so I was a little taken aback when Danielle quoted us a price range from $405-$540 as they charge $135/hour. Danielle made sure to mention that it should not take that long, but they always quote on the high end. We agreed and setup a delivery date for June 16, 2023 at 10:30. On the day of delivery I waited for hours for my items and they did not arrive until 1:30! Not once, did anyone contact me to explain the delay. Two guys arrived, and while they were both very nice, professional and took great pains to avoid any damage to my house, one of the guys was older and very slow and I later discovered that they use him because he is very slow and can therefore charge customers more money. Even with my assistance, they did not complete the move until 3:30. I had to cancel multiple appointments and I was not happy. As they were wrapping up, I was told that I was going to be charged from the time they left their warehouse at 9:30 until 3:30 and that was when I saw red. Kasha, contacted me and after our discussion, I was left with the impression that all was well and that the original quote would be honored. What Danielle failed to mention was that when they pick up items for delivery, they open each and every box to inspect for damage, then repack the boxes, and then finally load the truck! If I had known that before agreeing to hire them I would have politely declined and used my own trucks and employees. I did not receive a call for payment until July 6. Again, I spoke with Kasha and it became obvious that she "forgot" our prior discussion and I was the put on the phone with I think his name was Eric, but after recent events, I think it was the owner Martin Harrelson. We had a colorful conversation where I agreed multiple times to pay the max I was quoted, $540. I am assuming he was not happy with that as to my shock and dismay, they decided on July 21, to illegally charge my designers credit card $850 because it was on file! When invoices are submitted, they are supposed to be approved first and they did not do have approval to do so and the actions of their billing manger, Barbara in Dallas resulted in multiple phone calls and emails between myself and my designer. Barbara not only hung up the phone on the both of us, but she flat our refused to transfer our calls to higher ups. I ended up looking up reviews to discover other people have had similar complaints and so, I took it upon myself to begin filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau where I was able to located Marty's full name. After an email blast to all of their offices located across Texas, did Martin Harrelson agree to refund my designer's card as Barbara was holding the charge as ransom until I agreed to pay the $850 balance! In the end, I paid the $540 that was in the original quote. I have emails as well as recordings of Barbara and another woman literally hollering at me as proof to show how horribly unprofessional this company is. I would NEVER, EVER recommend them.

I’ve used their receiving and storage services for several years now, always professional and quick to accommodate and load my vehicle. Especially enjoy the warehouse staff, pleasant and always smiling!

I watched these clowns cutting through a convenient store parking lot to avoid a light, and flying through a school zone. They didn’t even have a license plate on their truck. Perhaps pick a moving company that won’t be a menace driving in your neighborhood.

Make sure you get a written estimate up front. I called Nice Moves because my client had heard good things about them. I'm a custom mattress manufacturer and needed a King size mattress and box springs delivered to a residence in Austin. I spoke to a nice young lady about my needs and she assured me they could handle my job. She said I should talk to Tommy but thought it would cost between $200.00 and $300.00 to make the delivery. I've shipped this mattress to Florida, Alabama, Dallas and Houston and have paid as little as $125.00 and up to $375.00, so I thought that they would be well in line with what I'm used to being charged. What a surprise I got when I received their invoice! They charged me for 4 men and 1 truck, 3 hours at $220.00 an hour to deliver a mattress and box springs 9 miles from their location. And on top of that, $45.00 to receive the two boxes and another $100.00 to remove the old mattress. $805.00 to deliver a mattress and box spring. I'm 62 years old and my assistant is 55 and we deliver these mattresses all the time. I asked them how 4 men could even move a mattress through a house, but got no reply. I admit, I'm partly to blame for getting a verbal estimate and not getting it in writing. But come on, $805.00 for a mattress delivery! It only cost $700.00 to ship the whole thing from California to Austin. Just so it's not a total bashing, at least they got it done without any damage, hence the two stars as opposed to one.

I operate a design business in the area and have worked with a few different receivers/delivery teams for client installs and Tommy and his team hit it out of the park. He always makes sure everything is perfect prior to install and handles any issues that arise in a swift and efficient manner. He really goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect, can't recommend Nice Moves enough!

Nice Moves is hands down the best moving company in Dallas! After I received an absurdly high quote from IMS relocation, I was referred to Nice Moves by my interior designer who uses them often when she needs nice/expensive furniture moved.

Excellent Service and top notch expertise. First, I met with Tommy to receive an estimate. Then I scheduled the move. When my new apartment wasn't quite ready, they were flexible and accomodating. We rescheduled. On move day, a crew of three showed up. We walked through my expectations and I answered their questions. Communication up front was top notch. Then, they executed our plan. With their expertise, the move which was estimated to take 3-4 hours was completed in 2 and a half. Nothing was damaged or misplaced. The cost came in under the estimate. I couldn't have been more pleased. I recommend this company without reservation.

Good, but not great. They were able to move all the pieces except the largest one (a large dining buffet). Stated it was too heavy. So I had to hire another company that was able to move it with 2 men (same as they had).
