Great group leaders with classes for seniors both in gym and aquatic exercise. There is a coordinator for a few social activities for seniors, too.

I'm homeless trying to get out of this situation and I have a job interview at 130. I called and asked if they could assist me with a free shower. I understand they charge $10 but I was hoping they would do it as a courtesy to help someone get on their feet. I spoke to Linda n she said no. I needed some help n they didn't. She didn't have to but she could of. Just disappointed in that.

I haven't been to the North Austin YMCA in about three years. I remember actually applying to an executive employment opportunity at the location and I stopped through to see about a course offering back then.Yesterday I decided to pass through. As soon you walk through the entrance there's a customer service desk so YMCA members can scan themselves in, and patrons can be assisted by the front desk clerks. They're eager to assist as soon as they see you. In fact I received a free day pass and was told the next time I visit I would pay the customary $15 for a day pass. One of the first things I noticed is that the lobby floor is shiny and everything looks really clean. Patrons were steadily coming in with work out gear, and parents were escorting their children here and there. This was around 6PM and the parking lot had about 50-60 cars or maybe more. This tells me the community is satisfied with the services provided by the location, and both of my experiences were welcoming. Before leaving I actually browsed over a bunch of fliers on a table highlighting course offerings for children and adults. There's not much going on in regards to community building taking place in North Austin. It's good to see the YMCA organization in the area and doing a great job. Stop on through if you're in the neighborhood or visiting.

Literally the nicest employees in Austin. They really make this place feel like a community. With a bunch of included classes, and childcare, a membership is hands-down the best deal in town!

We enrolled our 3 year old in swim classes here after having very minimal experience with the YMCA at all. I was really impressed with Connie (the teacher's) enthusiasm and patience. I also saw a very swift progression in confidence in the water from my child. We had taken several swim classes previously from Emler swim school and liked it a lot so I was curious if the Y would match up. We decided to try the Y since it was a more convenient location and more affordable. Though it was a different approach I think overall the experience was what we were hoping for! I would definitely recommend their swim classes for kids.

My kids and I have been coming here for close to ten years. I love the classes, and the gym facility is large. My kids take classes here too, and they now offer child care for different age groups, which is great.

I love our Y. From the staff to the other members, it always feels like a welcoming, communal space. I greatly appreciate that the members bring such a wide range of diversity to the location and it truly feels like a reflection of the neighborhood. With regards to the space itself, I like having both a pool and basketball court accessible in addition to the more common fitness machines and free weights. I personally don't attend classes but they always seem to be well-attended and lively. It's hard to beat the value of a membership at the Y.

The facilities are clean and the staff are friendly. They have a lap pool which is a bit on the warmer side as far as lap pools are concerned but that’s not a problem for me. A nice hot tub to unwind in after and even a little exercise pool. Clean showers which have curtains so they can be private and also a swim suit dryer! Clean locker rooms and a nice gym on the second floor. They have a lot of machines and also programs to sign up for if you want guidance. I’d definitely recommend this YMCA to anyone I know!
