My daughter has been with Northwest Montessori since June of 2022. We've had an amazing experience with the school. Most recently she completed her last day in Ms. Manju's class with her assistant Ms. Erica, and we witnessed our daughter mature so much in Ms. Manju's class. She is already doing some simple addition (she's 4), knows her letters and is starting to spell out certain word, and just generally she's been so happy in Ms. Manju's class. We cannot say enough good things!

Northwest Montessori the best school in the town!!! Amazing teachers and outstanding educational curriculum. Our son started NWM when he was 18 months old. Now he is 4.5 years old and in Ms. Ali's class. Our experience has been wonderful. School is a place he loves and a place we feel he is safe and happy. He is learning reading, writing and enjoying science experiments, yoga, music, outdoor activities on daily basis. We love Ms. Ali and all the amazing teachers at NWM. They truly are the best. Thank you so much for all you do to maintain the culture and the environment. We are forever grateful that we found NWM!!!

Pros: The assistants in the toddlers group were absolute stars. These two girls actually were the ones because of who it was possible to take my 2 year old to the daycare at all.Cons: When it comes to the teachers, it was such a disappointment regretfully. I got the feeling that one of the older teachers hated me and my husband, and she didn’t like our daughter, too. She never smiled and never was welcoming! To me it’s ok, I don’t really care if she smiles to me or not, but she NEVER made our daughter feel welcomed when she would come to the daycare. I hated it when this teacher opened the door to us, because she would just bring our daughter in without any smile, not referring to her at all, not even saying hi!It’s unacceptable in the daycare, in my opinion. And when it comes to another teacher in the same group, she was kind of ok, but there was one strange incident with her. We agreed with one of the assistants that we would start my daughter’s potty training, and the girl told me what to bring. So, I brought everything, and handed it all to the teacher, and she asked me: “Does she go potty?” (Like, don’t you know she doesn’t? She’s been in your group for a month now!). And I said “no, we want to train her”. To which the teacher said “Oh, this is going to be very difficult, you better teach her at home, we won’t be able to train her here”. Honestly speaking, I was shocked to hear that, because first of all that was one of my first questions when we talked with the principal whether there’s potty training in the daycare, and she confirmed that of course there was. And secondly, ALL daycares teach kids to use potty, it’s much easier this way because children see how other kids use the potty and learn to do it too!

AMAZING! AMAZING! I cannot recommend NWM enough! We were so fortunate that both of our boys were able to attend this great school and be under the care of such fantastic and loving caregivers. Our eldest son started here in 2014 and did 4 years before transferring to Pre-K. He is a very smart young man and excelling academically, which we attribute to his time at NWM. To say that he was prepared for prek is an understatement. NWM not only prepared our oldest academically but they instilled a love of learning in him that has carried him through the most difficult academic situations. Now with our almost 4 year old, we see that same love of learning. He rushes home and asks us to do "homework" with his brother. He loves to read books, color, and tell us what he has learned. We are so fortunate to have found this great school with amazing instructors and staff. If you choose NWM for your little one you will be happy you did!

My kids have attended/attending NWM, and it has been a great experience. Over the span of seven years, the teachers and teaching assistants fostered my kids through their toddler and little kid stages and have equipped them for kinder and beyond. My kids have made friends.

We will be leaving NWM next week to start kindergarten and we have loved our time at NWM. This is really a fabulous school with amazing EDUCATORS who care about their kiddos. Our little guy will start elementary school MORE THAN ready! He loves going to school and has learned so much (math, science, reading, history) We can't say enough great things about the NWM team.

What a special place to send my kiddos to every day. I've had a child at Northwest Montessori for the past 4 years and it has been the most welcoming and supportive environment. My kids have grown in their independence, confidence, kindness and friendship- equal to achieving educational milestones. I am so grateful for the Northwest Montessori community!

We love NWM! The teachers are so kind, warm and really invested in the child's learning experience. It feels like a family, and I love that the campus is made up of small houses by age level. I'd highly recommend it!

My 2 year old and I moved back to Austin last year, and this is her first daycare. The move meant a lot of change for my little. They were beyond understanding about my concerns around consistency for her. They put her in a class for kids just a few months older than she was, specifically so we could make sure she had the same teachers and same building for the next year. Those teachers, specifically Ms. Sabina and Ms. Rubina, are absolutely AMAZING. My daughter talks about “Ms. Bina” at home regularly. All of the teachers and classroom aides I’ve met are kind and know her name, even if they aren’t in her class specifically. You’re not allowed in the building and I don’t think the have cameras, but they do send pictures almost daily.I honestly think the education she’s getting is advanced for her age group, as well. She rapidly learned about colors, numbers, letters etc after starting in her class. They’re always having fun themed days and doing projects. The school also offers you to pay for dance and Spanish classes through 3rd party teachers who come in on certain days.To sum up, I really couldn’t recommend this school highly enough. I had the opportunity to move closer to a new job that is in downtown Austin, but one of the reasons I didn’t is because I know my daughter loves her teachers and school so much.PS I just noted a negative review pertaining to potty training. I just want to say that my daughter went through potty training while at this school, just over 2 years old. The feedback given to us was that it may go smoother if we are able to enforce over a period of time at home, so that they could just support our efforts at school. That’s exactly what we did. We planned so that we started over thanksgiving break, so she could go diaperless all day, every day. Then, when back at school, they matched the efforts we made at home. It was honestly a breeze, and I felt very supported by the school. She has been in undies during the day for most of the last year.

We absolutely loved our experience at Northwest Montessori. Though our son was only there for less than a year, just before kindergarten, he absolutely loved going to school and we wish we had sent him there sooner. They did so many fun and learning activities every day, and we were especially impressed by the level of "work" he would bring home. Our little guy loved the science lessons, that would happen every single say, and he learned a ton in terms of writing, reading, and math. I could not recommend this school more.

We had a great experience in Ms. Ali's class at Northwest Montessori! When we visited the school and saw her class all working quietly on their academic packets, it was very striking. Many of the other places we visited were barely contained chaos. The work packets brought home each week showed a varied and advanced curriculum. They did fun science experiments almost every day and really fostered a love of learning. They sent many photos and videos of the children at work and play.We have moved on to Kindergarten at Brentwood Elementary and so far the curriculum looks far more basic. :(

We have put three children through NWM, I like to say that they should name a wing after us…I can’t say more amazing things about the school. The educational level they have provided has been beyond expectations. The oldest child, when she left NWM for kindergarten was doing simple division. Totally over prepared for K but it has given her nothing but confidence through elementary school.I love the community. We have made amazing friends with the other parents.Thank you NWM. Y’all are the best.

We love NWM! I barely trust my own parents with my son and was a mess when we first started school but I am so relieved to have found a place where my son feels loved and safe and I now feel totally comfortable leaving him. My son is very sensitive and gets his feelings hurt easily. Every time that I have expressed a concern or talked to the teachers about something that made him sad, they have been so understanding and have been partners with me in solving the problem. Initially, we only had our son in school half days but he started saying he wanted to stay with his friends longer when we'd pick him up and now goes a full day bc HE WANTS TO! If that isn't proof of a loving environment, I don't know what is! The teachers are great and I highly recommend getting to know each of them. They really do care about the kids. When we have been out of town, our teacher will wait for us to get back to have special themed days so that he doesn't miss out without us ever asking her to do this. Thank you NWM! We're so glad we found you.

This is a fantastic, fantastic school. We considered many other area schools both more and less expensive, and we picked NWM because it seemed like the right balance of cost and quality. Today, at the end of our time at NWM, we look back and see the cost is really a bargain for the high quality education our daughter received. We could not be happier. Our daughter started at 18 months in the youngest class, and she stayed through the oldest class. The teachers are terrific. Our daughter learned far more than we could have imagined: social skills, independence, how to work in a group, how to work alone, what it means to be a good citizen in society, art, creativity, self-esteem, self-confidence, self-control, self-expression, play, experimentation, and best of all a ton of academics including reading, math, science, history, geography and more. We all cried on her last day at NWM because it was such an excellent start to her education. We give it the highest possible recommendation.
