I would like to give the utmost recognition to Kat at the South Austin location #477.
Kat went above and beyond to help me print shipping labels for my work. I made a mistake and processed them to ship rather than pickup at store. She took the time to find my order, print them, and confirm that each label was correct. Not only did she check in periodically but she also saved me a trip to USPS by adding it to their mail pickup. Office Depot is lucky to have such a dedicated, professional, and driven employee
I would like to add that in between assisting me, she was approached by an extremely disgruntled and disrespectful customer who treated her so poorly. She handled a very difficult situation with grace and professionalism while also maintaining boundaries. Rather than letting this affect her, she continued to provide the BEST customer service I have experienced. She is one of a kind!

The cashier working at 4:15 on Monday February 10th, 2025 was incredibly rude while I was incredibly patient with her. It's my birthday so I wasn't going to let her or her attitude get to me but she should be doing something like stocking shelves if she can't provide good or even decent customer service.

Took me 20 minutes of extreme frustration to print an 8 page document. Printme doesn’t work, GoogleDrive doesn’t work, the associate wasn’t very understanding and said all his printers are running (tough luck) so finally had to register for an Office Depot my file account and upload the file to my account. Painful. Do not recommend.

I was looking for a desk chair and I had the pleasure to be helped by John, he pointed out to different chairs and explained to me the different features. His help, amiability and patience helped me so much, I was clueless about all that information. It sounds easy to say I'm going to buy a desk chair but I was looking for the most comfortable and perfect chair since I will be doing back to school for few years. I felt getting a good chair would make my experience more enjoyable. Thank you John for making a difference and helping me get the right chair for me. I even got a discount, best experience 🥳

Saw the manager Steven be incredibly rude to an elderly customer looking for a label maker, with the amount of audacity that only a manager could have. Zero friendliness, helpfulness or attentiveness to someone who was obviously ready to make a purchase and at an age that he could not stand up for himself. The elderly man was confused leaving the store, not sure what he should do next to get the supplies he needed. Only someone in management would get away with that type of customer service and leaves one wondering who you can even complain to when someone is mistreated by those in power. Sad state.

Like most Office Depot locations, they staff it so sparsely that they think they’re saving money but they’re driving people away because we come stand here and wait for help for 20 min. Most customers are doing business, we don’t have time for that.
Just call on your radios for someone to help others… you don’t have to do it yourself guys.
Extremely poor situational awareness and leadership at the store and company level.

We had lose Faith at this location on customer service, and stop using for a while .2022
We recently visited again with a friend July 2024 and the Adult male long hair with glasses (sorry can't recall the name )
Help us out when he notice we where not getting the pricing Jon done , he excelled on his duty. Very pacient and friendly customer service.

I never leave reviews but I felt compelled to share my experience today. I went in around noon to get a very special print done and was told it would be done in a few hours. A few hours later I went back and it was not done. The gentleman who told me he’d have it done was not there, but a gentleman named Steven was there alone. I could tell he was a bit flustered and maybe overwhelmed from all the orders and lack of assistance. But he gracefully handled it all, one by one and remained kind and patient. This is an amazing quality to have as someone who’s worked in custom service and I didn’t want this to go unnoticed. He completed my print in a diligent manner and it turned out better than I expected! Thank you Steven!

Do NOT buy a printer from them. Bought one only a month ago and it won’t connect anymore and the return policy is only 14 days with original box and receipt

OMG. The idiots in Texas don’t even bother to read the orders. I get a text saying my assembled chair is ready so I drive 30 min to pick it up. Girl comes out with the box. I tell her it’s supposed to be assembled her response? Oh it’s gonna be awhile. Asked for a manger she says ok heads back in the store behind the counter. I follow and wait. No mgr. there’s another girl behind the counter she says oh I’m the manager. No apology all I got was attitude.
