on Monday I received a call saying that my prescription wasn’t in stock, but it would be delivered tomorrow (Tuesday). On Wednesday I went to pick up and was told by the pharmacy tech “I’m sorry you didn’t understand. That call was only to confirm you wanted us to order the prescription.” He was condescending and the answer doesn’t even explain why it wasn’t in stock on Wednesday (if I had confirmed on Monday). After this, another female tech shoves herself in between me and the tech I am speaking with and yells “next customer.” This was extremely rude of her. This experience was unfortunate because I usually have a good experience here.

Avoid getting a compounded prescription here if possible, they will charge you without you knowing and you will have to go out of your way for a refund on a prescription that they’re just going to toss anyway if returned

They’re tight on inventory here, so many things have to be ordered for next day. Problem is, they won’t order it. They know they’ll need it the next day because they have a script for it, but if there is the smallest question on a routine prescription you’ve been ordering every month for a year, they won’t even order any. Big thumbs down for a place I’ve used for 20 years and will continue to, despite frequent disappointments. Just know that if you need same-day service, it’s touch and go, they probably won’t have your pills in stock. One woman pharmacist there was very rude to my husband, as well. They get frantic.

Pharmacy is fine, a bit pricey in my opinion, friendly staff and a good variety of alternative medicine/ homeopathic choices, and a regular prescription filling pharmacy too. Really good deli and great chili!

I have been going to People's Pharmacy for more years than I can remember, mainly for their Wellness section. I used to live in Austin, but have been gone for a while. Regardless, I travel back there mainly to go to People's Pharmacy. In all of my travels, I have never found a pharmacy or store that compares to them. Their personnel is superb in their knowledge of herbs and supplements. They have helped me with numerous issues I have had over the years. They also make up my natural hormone creams in their compounding pharmacy. I truly don't know what I would do without People's Pharmacy. It would be a tragedy if they could not continue in their business. I hate to see already that they have had to curtail some of their business and staff. I miss the old People's, but just hope and pray that some version of them will always be there. Margaret Bell Sides

People’s Pharmacy is one of the original gems in Austin! The products are of highest quality, the staff is extremely knowledgeable, their compounding pharmacy is top notch, and their wellness staff are far superior to any other store around. I go here for everything from supplements to snacks. I miss their deli, the smoothies in particular. I hope they decide to bring them back one day!

I love this pharmacy. They are able to get RXs that HEB pharmacy is unable to find. One can renew a prescription quickly and easily. The staff are friendly and personal. They even remember your name. There is never a long line. What's not to like?

They are a real pharmacy with the regular prescriptions. But they also actively promote on their website, and in their store, scams like "homeopathic" remedies that are proven to have absolutely no actual effect on the body, many of which are literally just water. It's unethical to prey on the people who are suffering from medical issues, and selling them products that any medical professional can easily research and see that these products have zero medical benefit of any kind.

Just got done with their juice cleanse and I absolutely loved it! I feel like People’s Rx is the whole package. They have food, snacks, holistic supplements & a compound pharmacy. I highly recommend this place for your health needs.

This place is wayyyyy more expensive than Walmart. I guess thats a given, but I am on a relatively expensive medication and I split my doses. Walmart gives me a 30 day supply (60 day supply for me) for $20 with insurance. This place gave me a 15 day supply (30 days for me) for $26 with one refill that I will also have to pay $26 for. For the same medication, same amount, and same insurance it will cost me $32 more than I'd usually spend. Extremely bothersome. This place is not for people who don't have a lot of money and rely on medication. Sucks because I'd like to support locally but it is just not feasible for me at this rate.
