It's a great place to relax with beautiful views, go fishing, or take a short trail walk.
However, there are several cons. The parking is horrible. Be prepared to get in a heated argument with someone to get one. Also this is a hot spot for car break-ins. Be cautious about leaving it.
The leash free is nice but be prepared to have a strange dog running up to you and your family. Most of the owners don't control their dogs and let them run free. I seen several dog fight break out here. Its very annoying
In my opinion I would avoid this place on any given weekend. It's mostly photographers, thieves, Karen's, and crazy dogs. Not worth it to me.

Dog-friendliness: Our water dog would swim for hours and hours getting that ball. I’m so happy this place exists.

This is the best spot to fish in Austin! Home to the end of the trail and sit on the tree roots casting towards the west side! Is your feeling adventurous go across the small bridge to towards the dam and cast from there. 10/10

It's the best place to bring your dogs to roam free without the fear of them running into wildlife or into the streets. Nice shady breezes and perfect swimming spots for the pups to swim.

Nice trail but limited parking. There are no restrooms here but there is a Heb near by.
Toilets: No restrooms! Heb near by!
