I've used Rising Sun for assorted maintenance this year on my Mazda. Brake fluid, pads/rotors, oil changes, transmission services, etc. They're not the cheapest in town, but the quality of the work is very high, service advisors are communicative and easy going, and they stand by their warranty.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a shop that you can trust to do a great job and care about your car!

Had a really good experience with Rising Sun Automotive. My car broke down on me while trying to start it when leaving my office.
Triple AAA came to pick it up to tow and recommended Rising Sun as an affiliate of theirs. The team was super easy and responsive through the whole repair. I like that they share text links to review and approve/disprove each item along with the level of severity.
They work really fast, kept me informed the whole time and made me feel like I wasn't getting upsold on things I didn't need. Would use them again.

I reached out to them describing issues with my car characteristic of a blown head gasket. I tried to get clarification over the phone, but they told me I needed to come in to have it diagnosed. I did, and sure enough it was confirmed that it was a blown head gasket. Their proposed estimate was 10K to fully replace the engine.
I understand it is a smallish shop and they don't have space or time available to replace the head gasket. If that's the case, be upfront with your client and tell them you are unlikely to be able to address the issues, instead of making them pay to tow the car, pay the diagnostic fee, and then effectively turning them away.
Probably fine for an oil change or a check up, but I would go somewhere else for more significant work.
Edit: After reading my review Rising Sun reached out to me to apologize and offer a refund. The effort and integrity to reach out and make things right definitely left a good impression.
It seems you can count on them to do right by you regardless of the circumstances.

Rising Sun never disappoints! They did such a great job on my Lexus, and now she’s driving smoother than ever. Highly recommend Rising Sun to anyone with a Japanese car. They offer quality work, and don’t try to sell you things you don’t need. They really care about the health of your vehicle. Thanks again, and see y’all in November for the next appointment!
Edit: ignore the two star review about the blown head gasket. Don’t get mad when Rising Sun tells you that you need a new motor because you didn’t take care of your car like you’re supposed to. This shop is great, and I would advise everyone to use Rising Sun for more invasive work and simple stuff as well, like fluid changes.
Regarding the fx35 guy that wants to sue, the primary issue there is that you bought an Infinity. That pretty much sums up that whole ordeal.
